Portion-wise, we left comfortably full and only slightly questioning our life choices. The Shrimp Lover Combo can't be modified. We chose Stinkin' Special and Spicy, which came with a plastic glove so you can dig in like a civilized gremlin. The Stinkin' Special was a generous blasts of Old Bay and enough garlic to ward off vampires. The Mad Dog sauce wasn't shock-your-soul spicy, but it definitely lingered. I was still feeling its friendly burn hours later and well into the evening. The LOBSTER ROLLL was tasty but fleeting. It's one of those dishes that makes you realize the meal is almost over right when you're hitting peak satisfaction. A little emotional damage there. We wrapped it all up with deep-fried Oreos and ice cream, which was an instant win. Sweet, cooling relief after all that heat. California crawfish season is just about to begin, but I don't know if the restaurant started using fresh live crawfish yet because the majority of the crawfish shells were soft and mushy, although thr meat was still good. Based on the sauce alone, I'd definitely try again in a month or two to see if the quality of the crawfish improves as we get deeper into crawfish season. The clams were hit and miss as some were great while others were handy. Generous amounts of sausages and potatoes were given for a good price. My wife and I were able to finish the add ons in one sitting. I'd give the restaurant and overall 3.5 right now, 5 for the sauce alone and a bit lower than a 3 for the seafood quality.
