The food here is so salty it will give you high blood pressure. I spent over 70$ on 3 dinners for my family. My meal was only 8.50$ when you look up the menu online. But when I got there they charged me 25$ then the lady tried to short me 5$ giving me my change. Don't give them your money if they charge triple what anyone else charges and the food is not good.Maybe they should save their money on salt they put in the food and lower those prices for everyone else. I will never go back.Ill drive to Noblesville or Frankfort for way cheaper and better rice and beans. read more

My wife and I stopped here on a whim this evening and had a wonderful meal. The chicken fajita was delicious and more than enough food for the 2 of us to split. The frozen raspberry margarita was also excellent. The queso was runny like water, the rice was old, and the chicken was very thin. Food came out so fast others food was not even hot.

I typically don't leave reviews but avoid this place at all costs! Not sure if it was the manager or the owner but he was very rude & degrading. He decided that since we bought 3 meals for 4 people we could only have 1 basket of chips... 1 for 3 meals!?! Any more would cost extra. Wish he would've said it before our food came out because we would've walked out. To top it all off the food portions were laughable. Guess he thought he was going to teach us a lesson?? Too bad for him since we'll spread the word on their terrible customer service & sad portions. We travel all over the country, eat at lots of Mexican restaurants & have NEVER had this happen before. I've lived here for 6 years and I loved the food and service there. My boyfriend and I go there all the time for food. One thing I will say is that the ordering over the phone needs work. Why? Let me tell you... I was ordering on the phone to this lady. I asked if I could have a chimichanga stuffed with chicken, rice and beans. She said okie. Then I asked her to repeat my order just so I can make sure everything we get is correct. She told me on my order that all of it is going to be on the side. So tried to repeat myself so she can understand. I tried to explain about it and she hung up on me. I called back and she said she didn't hang up and that I don't have an order anymore. So I hate saying this BUT it needs to be said, that they have recently raised their prices in the last 2 months, like the chili rellenos and NO change in quality. I did not want to be negative but after seeing some of the recent reviews I had to chime in with my negative experience. We were in the area visiting a local winery and wanted food before making the trek all the way back to the east side of Indy. Not much popped up in Sheridan, but this place had decent reviews so we stopped in. It's a solid 3 stars. Exactly what I expected so that was good. The guy seating people and handing out chips and salsa wasn't the most excited about his job, but I like that the chips and salsa come with individual salsa bowls. That's always helpful especially if you are with a group. I got the shredded pork burrito (can't remember the name) which comes covered in a red sauce and pico de gallo with rice and beans on the side. It was good! For some reason, Mexican restaurants usually nail pork. If it hadn't been for the sauce, it would have been dry, but the overall combination was very good indeed (so good I almost forgot to take a picture before I finished it)! The rice and beans were exactly what you'd expect. The margarita was surprisingly strong so that was a pleasant surprise since it tasted heavily of sour mix. My husband enjoyed his fajitas and Dos Equis Ambar. All in all, a reliable Mexican restaurant in Sheridan. read more

Enjoyed my most recent meal with my family at Los Cotorros Mexican in Sheridan. This family oriented restaurant is tucked inside a small strip building on the east side of State road 47 in Sheridan where you'll find loads of locals. Food prices are reasonable and there's a nice selection of Mexican dishes to choose from. I enjoyed my burrito deluxe and my husband liked his wet burrito. Great white queso with chips! Their chocolate churro are delicious as well. Nice to have another Mexican restaurant to choose from when feeling like enjoying Mexican food out. :) read more

This was a real surprise, sitting in a little town in the middle of Indiana. We didn't honestly expect to enjoy this place as much as we did. The service was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. We were a little worried when we didn't see any of the standard meat choices for tacos, but that disappeared as soon as we asked. They were happy to give us whatever we wanted, menu or no. The tacos were great, as were the burritos (we took most of them home). The prices were very reasonable. Great option for a good Mexican meal in the middle of nowhere! read more

Great food. Great staff. Reasonable prices. This is a regular spot for us to eat. My family and I go here to eat quite often. A while back they had a staff change and it was bumpy for a month or two, but then returned to the great restaurant that we loved. They have a diverse menu, great margaritas, prompt service, and the restaurant is always clean. We have 5 kids, so it's nice to be able to go somewhere our whole family loves and is welcome! We (I) are a little obsessed with Mexican food, so we have been to many Mexican restaurants. This is by far the best! The salsa is fresh and you can really taste the fresh ingredients and cilantro in it. It's great to have such a wonderful Mexican restaurant so close to home. Order food, my daughter wants a kids arrow con pollo with fries, she's says no it comes with rice, I asked to sub she said no, ok fine (strike 2), order her it with rice, order myself an adult arroz con pollo and hubby and son order their food. Food comes, son ask for cheese enchilada with cheese no Red sauce, nope it comes with red sauce (strike 3) and only 1 arroz con pollo and it was put in front of my daughter. A few min later the server comes asked if everything ok, I said no Son wants enchilada with only cheese NO red sauce, she said no problem and I said, I ordered an arrow con pollo as well, she then states that my daughter is eating mine. Overall food is good! With saying that sometimes quality can be hit and miss. Items aren't always prepared the same. Service is usually quick, with it being one of a couple restaurants in the area it can get busy especially on weekend nights. Order the carnitas, arroz con pollo, or any of the nachos. You can't go wrong with any of those options. They also do have good vegetarian options. When you think of a Mexican restaurant this is your typical status quo. read more

A typical Gordon Food Services style Mexican restaurant with warm and friendly staff. But we came here for the farmer and migrant ambiance and a beautiful drive in the country. I tried a chicken mole style dish, hoping for just a hint of something from scratch. Nope. The mole was right out of a jar and the chicken was right out of a freezer bag. No extra touch of any fresh ground spices or fresh grill fried veggies or meats. I ordered a margarita on the rocks and was treated to a box mix. I was really hoping to find some fresh squeezed limes and a bit of simple syrup and just maybe agave juice. Not here. I have not eaten at a mexican restaurant better than this one. It is a gem located in lovely Sheridan, Indiana. Right in the corner of the strip mall. I would say they have some of the best margaritas for the price that I have come across. My recommendation would be their pollo bambino. It comes with some of the best rice that I have had the pleasure of eating. The chips and salsa are always flowing and the staff are great. This was a good place to eat. Mexican restaurants range from spicy to mild, depending on where you are. We were in from out of town, and do not eat at chain restaurants. The food here was very good, but not spicy at all. I had the shrimp quesadilla, and it was packed with flavor. I like a little more heat, but I won't ding them on that,because that's a taste issue.
