Great spot! My thing is Verde Enchiladas - I get it at pretty much every single Mexican restaurant I go to. These were really good because it was grilled chicken rather than shredded. So it had a ton of flavor! The verde sauce was flavorful as well. Really big portion for the price! Overall, good service and good food. Would return!

This little Mexican joint has really grown in the past couple years!! I love coming here, I feel like I always discover a new piece of artwork. You could do a whole review of the art decor. On to the food! Always so good!! And very affordable as well. The service that goes with it is also amazing. Definitely bring friends and family in here. I feel like I should have more to say, but it's just a nice place to come into. Just the right lighting, tons of colorful art, drinks (some non-alcoholic) and tasty, affordable food. You can't ask for more! Salut!!

I came here on a Friday night with a group of 6 and seems like we were seated within a good amount of time despite it being quite busy. Our server was very nice however did forget one girls margarita and didn't get the memo about removing shrimp from her order. As far as my order was concerned, I ordered a raspberry margarita which was okay but nothing spectacular. It tasted like sugar more than anything. My Salad was also a bit bland in flavor in terms of the chicken seasoning but was one of the healthier options (kinda) off the menu. Parking was super easy as it was in a small strip of other businesses. I'm all for a good Mexican inspired food joint however, I think there's definitely better out there!

This place is absolutely gorgeous- I was kind of in awe as we sat down! My boyfriend and I got frozen margaritas, queso, and the combo options. The enchiladas were great and the veggie quesadilla was stuffed to the brim with sautéed veggies and cheese. We will definitely be coming back! The service was great, the ambiance made for great date night, and the food was yummy! Definitely recommend!

Great Margaritas... I has silver on the rocks with Patron. Mix is tart and tasty, not a syrup candy like, but fruity and satisfying. I chased it with Saturday Special of Shredded Beef Enchiladas. Really tasty, they slow cook meats well here and then assemble them into some really fine dishes.

This place is sooo good! Bonus points for recyclable containers! Plus it was so much food, I love having enough for leftovers. I think these might have been the best beans I ever had. Not pictured: chips and salsa.

Since we'll be living in Zionsville for a while, we've been searching for our new go-to restaurants. Today we tried Salty Cowboy for the first time, and overall, we were impressed. We ordered the chips and salsa, tacos, and margaritas, and everything was very enjoyable. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. This could have been a 5-star review , but the chips tasted a bit stale and the salsa was somewhat bland and could have used a little more spunk. Aside from that, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend checking out Salty Cowboy if you're looking for good Mexican food in the area.

Apparently chips and salsa are no longer free. I had the short rib taco which was full of meat and quite tasty. The pickled onions on it though weren't really very pickled. They were okay but not great. I also had the mahi mahi taco and it was great and I loved the pineapple salsa.I opted for grilled shrimp but you could get them fried if you want. The big disappointment was the pollo con arroz that my husband ordered. It was luke warm. The waitress said no problem and she could get him a new dish quickly. She came back with that she claimed was a whole new dish in less than 5 minutes! I am sorry you can't make a whole new dish in 5 minutes. The rice was steaming hot. The chicken looked like chunks of boiled white chicken that had a cold crema under them so chicken was not hot. Not a lot of flavor. Very disappointing. Service was excellent.

Esperanza was sweet and friendly, very prompt when needed. They have tamarind soda, which I LOVE so much and is hard to find in the Midwest for some reason. The queso fundido was yummy, and we didn't wait too long for the rest of our meal. The quesadilla was VERY generous with its protein, it was almost like a giant taco instead of a quesadilla! My husband enjoyed it very much. He didn't enjoy his torta, unfortunately. I enjoyed my al Pastor tacos very much! They were beautifully plated and full of flavor, with tender pieces of pork. The sweetest thing is, my husband often won't say anything if he didn't enjoy an item, we just take it home and I will alter it to try and make it better. However, Esperanza noticed he only took a bite, and graciously took it off the menu without a fuss. The restaurant even gave us a couple of cute ice creams as an apology for not enjoying the torta. They all went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. I noticed a couple of people walking in as we were preparing to leave, that Esperanza could acknowledge by name or order, so it's clear they have regulars that they treat with love!

Food is decent and enjoyable. Been going there for years, since they opened. Service is…read moresatisfactory, but variable. More recently they continue to practice what I call annoying policies. For example, chips come with take out orders, but they don't give more chips when you order appetizers in addition to entrees. So you run out. Then they introduced a carry out fee. Annoying. Most recently, they have now added a fee for charging your order. So, I would call these practices as nickel and diming you which erodes the overall experience. So now, I'll go back, but not as often. If they do these pesky things, what are they doing in the kitchen that may be subtlety reducing quality. Like thinner cheese sauce that rolls off an item into a pool rather than being thick enough to stay on chimichanga or other item? We'll see.

This is for BRUNCH food... Table for four we all go…read moresomething different. Mine was the avacado toast. This was great, served on a bed of greens (maybe a bit too much) and I selected the side of seasoned potatoes. Again, the avacado toast part was fine a Latino twist of flavors on a staple. The seasoned potatoes were way over seasoned. Everyone tried them and everyone said "oh wow. That's a lot" or offered their own potato side to share. The tres leches French toast wasn't what we pictured. The fruit was not "in" the bread but between the slices. The bread wasn't the best for French toast (like a brioche would be better) fruit looked fresh and crème part seemed great. Burrito was probably the go to. Looked good, held up well. That came with fries that looked better than my seasoned potatoes. The last plate was eggs, hash browns and carne. He didn't comment if it was fantastic or just ok, so assuming it was at least sufficient to good. His also came with toast. Because it was dry toast, my husband asked for jelly when the server came back to check on us; they brought him butter. I didn't have the coffee, but the rest of my group said the coffee was good. All three loved the coffee cups.
