The artwork and decor is overwhelming but the food is plentiful and filling. I've gotten take out here a couple of times recently and the staff have been helpful and fast. We hosted a birthday party in the back room once, the staff were very helpful for that lunch celebration.

Solid Mexican eatery. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. The food's pretty standard issue Mexican American--chimis, burritos, tacos, etc. But all of it's tasty, well prepared, and reasonably priced. If you're in the mood for Mexican and near Noblesville High School, it's a solid choice.

My go-to Midwest-Mex restaurant growing up was always El Camino Royale on 10th street until they were ran out of town by the roundabout last year Great memories. But life moves on... and negatives into positives, I'm happy to report that El Palenque checks the box when I need some Arroz con Polo and chips w/Cheese Dip in my life. The Michelada is extra spicy as it comes and feeds my crippling Miche addiction beautifully! And the street tacos are legit. Staff is on point. Be back soon

Takeout is always quick and hot! The street tacos are great.

My family loves this restaurant. Rarely can we all decide on place to eat out, especially with picky kids. It's a place we've visited over 20 times in the past several years and we've been happy each time. No complaints! They're affordable, service is great, and food is tasty! Just recently I had a pineapple margarita and it was amazing. Highly recommend!

Very large serving. Friendly staff. Food was excellent, drinks always full.

Food is served quickly and comes out hot. Very good. Went with friends and everyone has a great meal. Try the margarita, you won't be disappointed.

I was playing golf in the area and decided to check Yelp to see some good restaurants in the Noblesville Area. To my amazement and luck I found this hidden gem. Located in a convenient location near the high school with high standards for food and service. The service was top notch and everyone on staff was friendly and moved at a fast pace. The restaurant itself is a pretty classic American Mexican restaurant feel that makes you feel at home as you walk in. I was pleasantly surprised with this pick and I was more than delighted to spend my evening at El Palenque.

Oh hell yes. Been a long time!

Well in honor of 2022, thought I should freshen this review up. Long story short is this is my go to restaurant anymore (for any cuisine). I simply love this place. Almost in a first name basis with the staff, they all recognize myself and family when we come here. The portions are generous, the guacamole is spicy and the beer is cold. Even the Micheladas are great. You can order the 32oz Modelo and keep pouring. And as always, the tacos and choices are awesome. Love it here.

It's located in a strip mall. Parking was convenient for me. I parked front if restaurant but I went close to 1pm on Monday. Food was awesome. I really enjoyed shrimp taco but steak taco was also good. I definitely see myself going back.

Delicious food, great service, smiling employees. Well seasoned and great tasting steak. Fresh tacos and salsa. Absolutely delicious and we will be back.

The staff is incredible and has gotten to know us so well that they already know our orders when we walk in. That kind of service is hard to find these days. The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. I usually get the Tres Tacos, but every now and then I'll order the steak tacos instead. No matter what I choose, they are always seasoned perfectly and full of flavor. My husband gets the Alambre every single time and says it's the best in Indianapolis. After stealing a few bites over the years, I can see why. The chips and queso are absolutely amazing. We always start with them, and honestly, I could make a meal out of the queso alone. Their margaritas are also fantastic. They're huge, taste great, and they definitely don't skimp on the tequila. Like everywhere else, we've noticed prices have gone up over the years, but we still feel like the quality and portions make it worth it. What keeps us coming back every week is not just the food. It's the people. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel like part of the family. If you're looking for great Mexican food and a restaurant where you're treated like more than just another customer, Rio Grande is the place. We love it and will keep our Friday night tradition going for as long as we can.

There were lots of staff on hand to serve, prepare food and make us feel welcome. The facility is very clean and open. Not much decor like you would see at a traditional Mexican restaurant. Our waitress was vey friendly and professional. She even made the tamales! The chips were very crisp and tasty. They were a bit greasy. The waitress did an excellent job keeping the chips coming as we were hungry. The salsa was inconsistent. The first batch was very thin and had a watered down spicy taste. In this batch the salsa dropped off the chip. The second round was thicker. It had a fine chopped consistency. It was much easier to scoop up and had a nice fresh taste. There was some spice but not much. The waitress did bring us a bottle of hotter salsa which was very hot! My wife ordered the tamales. She thought they were very good! I ordered the shrimp enchiladas. The shrimp plentiful however I thought they were a bit over cooked as they were a little chewy. The white was was very good. It had a smooth cheesy taste without an over powering cheese taste. Some Mexican restaurants will serve their white sauce with a slight seafood flavor. This was a little more bland. The rice was soft and spiced like you would expect - very good! The refried beans were tasty though I thought they were a little thinner in consistency than I would prefer. Overall very good place to eat! Give them a try!!

My fiance had steak tacos and he said they were cold. The steak was NOT from a freshly made steak; it was like the pre-sliced cuts of meat you get for salads and such.
