The fact that they have continued to listen to suggestions, and their willingness to make something off menu, has brought me back again and again. Like all of us, they are not perfect, so as they continue to make the effort to make my dining experience better, I will continue to support them. Nice to have a great place on the Divide. Had the carnitas burrito. Lots of just fatty enough meat, good beans, rice, and Bermuda onions. The tortilla was of nice constastinacy and enough for two medium eaters. Cost $9.00. Very nice people running the place who care about their customers. read more

Just finishing dinner with my family. This is our third time here and every time I have ordered something really good. The first time I had a chicken taco which comes with pico de gallo on a corn tortilla. The flavor of the chicken was really good! The second time I had the chimichanga and it was divine! Pretty hard to beat a perfectly fried tortilla with carnitas inside. And tonight (since I loved fried tortillas) I got the chicken flautas which did not disappoint. We had Los Establos cater our event at our home. 40+people, every single person loved the food! It was excellent. Lemme (the owner) went above and beyond, bringing extra add ons. Got our order completely wrong every time the last 3 times - each time we were given completely different items than we ordered. Also, depending on the cook that night the food is either ok or inedible with far too much salt. Really so salty you can't eat it. That has happened several times over the past several months. We keep saying we give up, but there are so few options here, and we go for a month or so and think it can't be that bad and try it again and regret it. Not the quickest service but they finally got there. The salsa was completely tasteless while the Pico and chips were satisfactory. My wife's Chili Relleno didn't appear to have any egg batter and was overly immersed in cheese and sauce. it wasn't what she expected and was just ok. Our friends chicken taco was bland and uninteresting. The refried beans appeared to be like home made and were good. The Mexican rice appeared correct but was too salty. My Carne Asada came cut up in small pieces, and while I prefer a whole piece of skirt steak, it was seasoned well and flavorful. Overall, meh. read more

Came here for the first time tonight. Stood at the door and waited for a while before someone asked if I was there for dinner or ice cream. I told them dinner and I had to ask if I ordered at the table or the register. The chips were good, but the salsa was just okay. The beans and rice was pretty good. The tamale was tasty, but I was disappointed on the size. I would have liked either one that was larger or three of the size I got with less sauce. I will be back to try something else before I make my final decision if I like this place or not. read more

Newly opened by local long time residents, Los Establos is great family restaurant and a great place to grab a bite. They are still working on their menu and hours but are accommodating and want to make sure you leave happy and full. Prices are great and portion size is enough to fill you up after a day of fun. They offer to go items and can answer any questions. The food is authentic mexican deliciousness fresh made in house. Wow there's so many good reviews on here. I wish my food would've been as good as everybody else. The food I got was old and hard. It tasted like it was two days old then warmed in the microwave.
