We were visiting Georgetown and came across this rCame in on a Saturday at opening 12pm. The restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. Inside looks new. Our server was really nice and friendly. We ordered two nacho plates. One with chicken and one with carnitas. The size of the plate is plenty for two. The chicken was good but the carnitas was not what I am accustomed to. They were cooked but chopped up into tiny pieces and weren't very flavorful. Overall the nachos were enjoyable with plenty of toppings and served fresh. And the service was super. 4.5 stars due to the carnitas meat and 5 stars for everything else. read more

Went on a lunch date with family here. Service was amazing the burritos are filling and excellent.

Scenic vintage California 1800's old feel gold country..... here's a cool Mexican place with good, real home made like preservative free , fresh Mexican combinations! If you're in this area i definitely recommend! Whole beans and Fresca are really good. The service was happy filled too and the environment friendly and you can tell locals enjoy the platters. Seeing the high star count leaves me hoping it was just a bad day. Service was okay. You could tell they were a little overwhelmed with the amount of people, yet not super busy. Methinks "bland" is the theme of the food. The chips served were okay, I guess. Bland, but okay. Thick corn chips. The salsa was the most flavorful thing service, yet pretty run of the mill. Nothing spectacular. But the ground beef tacos? Super duper... bland. I won't say they were bad, but not memorable. My gf took one bite of her steak taco and passed it to me saying "I can't". I should not have. It was very bland and the meat was tough. The best part was cost. It was very inexpensive. But, maybe that's because we ordered just tacos and a coke and no beans or rice. read more

Well, you guys just lost a semi regular customer. Someone who comes in probably twice a month on average. Called today to place an order for pick up, the woman who answered said they were closed due to staffing and would be open in an hour. She further asked me to call back then. Disappointing, but not a 100% unheard of situation post pandemic. But I'm hungry now, so responded to her request to call back later with a simple "maybe, thanks." Those literally being the only words I said after requesting to place an order. And if the exchange had ended there, I would still be a customer. But the woman muttered "pendeja" as she hung up the phone. read more

This place is great, we didnt really notice it was there until we decided to grab dinner in Georgetown. Fajitas were fresh, their burritos are insanely huge and the nachos with meat killed us. You can't go wrong with anything here, the portions were so big that in future I think our group can survive on two large orders of the nachos with meat. read more

The Asada Plate that I had for dinner was tough, sinewy, and very disappointing. This is the second time I have been there (last time was several years ago.) I expected a better dinner that years ago, but that was not the case. The chips and salsa were good, but the dinner was not. read more

Disappointing. I liked the Oasis, formerly in the same location, but this seems a step down. Had dinner there, found they have no draft beer and no margaritas. The menu said "wine", but they didn't have that either. A few kinds of Mexican beer and Sierra Nevada pale ale were the choices, in bottles. Menu is limited... no enchiladas, disappointing to my spouse. But the food we got, rellenos and street tacos were good. I'm hoping they step it up... get the taps running again and add wine, margaritas and more food options. They are fairly new, so here's hoping. read more

Staying just across the street at the American River Inn, we walked over thinking they were just closing.... NO, we were greeted by a friendly and skilled waiter! He shared some guests faves from the menu and did let us know that they were out of one type of meat. No worries, they had plenty to choose from. AND, we were NOT disappointed! My husband ordered carnitas fajitas - OMGoodness, there was more pork in the dish than I have ever seen! Beautifully grilled peppers, tomatoes and onions also complimented the dish, and the tortillas were really good too! Great choice! But wait, I ordered the shredded chicken tostada bowl and it was FABULOUS!!! The waiter asked me which kind of beans I wanted, shared about the meat choices, and made sure that he had everything down that I did want in the tostada bowl. Okay, that IS important to me because I am watching what I eat and it matters to me! The results was an absolutely DELICIOUS dinner! There was so much shredded chicken that was tender and juicy, with a good amount of pinto beans plus lettuce, tomatoes and a bit of cheese - because that is all I wanted! It was perfect - and I was delighted with this fabulous dinner! Oh, and we didn't have to ask for chips and salsa.... we shared a very generous bag of delightful chips and fresh pico de gallo! YUM! The folks are really great with service AND food!!! Yes, the pandemic is still here - but everyone was wearing masks, were very socially distanced - spread out and enjoying their meal and drinks, and the atmosphere. Stopped by from out of state while visiting family; food was delicious. Super tasty and authentic. The chiles rellenos are to die for. Also tried the burrito, smothered in cheese and a red sauce with good amount of meat, rice and beans. The prices were average but the portions were bigger than then usual Mexican joints. Went in there without any knowledge of the place beforehand. The waitress was really friendly and gave us great service. The place was fairly crowded with good atmosphere. After a very fun day enjoying the national forest adjacent to Georgetown, a group of friends and I decided to stop in here for dinner, after having passed it many times before. Honestly, the way that main street is set up, you may accidentally miss it if you don't know what to look for. Regardless, we stopped in and were seated. The waiter was very receptive to our needs and was very happy to provide us with the drinks/requests we had. On top of this, we ordered a bunch of various menu items like nachos, the fajitas, and the burritos. I will say, I cannot believe the burrito was as big as it was for the price... and the flavor within the burrito was AMAZING, I don't think I could ask for better. We got the nachos with meat (and the ground beef) and my goodness was I not expecting them to be as good as they were.
