    Chimichanga

My friend and I were shopping next door and decided to stop here for dinner on a Friday evening around 5:30. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the host who was warm and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As he brought us to our booth, we both mentioned how fun the decor was at this restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Soon after we were seated, the server came over to take our beverage order. The drinks arrived promptly. He also brought complimentary chips and salsa. I asked if the green salsa had dairy but due to the slight language barrier, it took a bit of work to understand. I assumed that the green salsa did have dairy because it looked creamy. Being vegan, I appreciated the vegetarian menu and selected the burrito without cheese and sour cream. My friend ordered the chimichanga. When the food arrived, I was a little bummed there was a sprinkle of cheese on the refried beans, but my friend just removed it for me with a fork. I am guessing that the server didn't understand that I didn't want cheese on anything. My friend loved her dish. Mine was good too, although I would have appreciated the same little side of lettuce and tomato that she had with her entree. Prices were reasonable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathroom was clean and well-stocked.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was great. We both would definitely return!

Came here for taco tuesday thinking that all tacos are 1/2 price as the add says. Even on tbe table it says 50% off. Ordered my steak tacos and they came back full price. i asked why it's full price and they said that it's not included in the special. I showed the manager the website that they provided on the menu and even on the table and he said that they were old and outdated. so we needed up paying full price due to old menus...

Los Fernandez Restaurant has many drinks and food I really love it the service is great they are so polite and friendly.

First time and I loved it. Came to celebrate my birthday with my parents, small kids, and husband. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We all enjoyed the ambiance, the delicious food, the live music, the drinks (piña colada and sangria), the service, but the best part is how attentive all the waitresses and waiters are specially the hostess "[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]Victor!!!". I put his name with explanation because he was so attentive to all the tables and brought my girls a milkshake which they loved and brought a smile to their face. They will be requesting to come back! [[HIGHLIGHT]]And now the karaoke will start. Nice! Such a great night[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Amazing!!

I tried out this restaurant recently, and it didn't disappoint. They have a vegetarian menu. We tried their fresh guacamole, cheese fries, and veggie enchiladas. The portions are huge, and my favorite was the enchiladas with spinach and cheese! Flavorful and delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the weekends, they have Karaoke![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was excellent as well! I'll definitely be back!

By far the worst Mexican restaurant in the state. The only thing good about this place was the decor. But since I didn't visit this place for their decor, it can still be appreciated. I ordered the cheese and bean enchiladas. Sadly they used the street tacos tortillas, the real small ones. The beans were super dry and it was still early in the afternoon. They even tasted as if they had been in the fridge for a while. Their rice tasted old and some parts tasted as if old rice was mixed in with new one. The cheese on top was super greasy, not your typical greasy amount but even more. I had one of their $12 margaritas, and again, disappointed. Look at the garnishes, these have to be at least a day old. I could squeeze more juice out of a walnut than I could out of this lime and orange wedges. This usually happens when either you no longer care about the small details of your food, or your bartender just stopped caring. But it comes down to who is in charge. Last, for a $12 drink, I wish I could taste the tequila, not just the syrup. Again, either revamp or shut it down.

Looking for another Mexican restaurant that was conveniently located for a quick after work place to grab dinner. Glad we tried Los Fernandez on Golf Road. Plenty of parking out front especially during the week. The place has a cool kind of divey vibe. LOUD music greets you when you come in and sets the mood for the friendly service and good food to come. Delicious chips and salsa came out immediately so we dipped and crunched while we went thru the huge menu. We were hungry and in a hurry so we each chose tacos. Steak tacos excellent! The steak is chopped small and is piping hot - same for the chicken. Comes American style (lettuce tomato and cheese) or Mexican style (cilantro and onion). Refried or black beans available. Los Fernandez is a find come check them out. We'll be back for sure!

This is definitely my new favorite local Mexican restaurant! The portions are big, the drinks are huge, and they are very attentive to all guests. I went on a Saturday night and they had live music and a karaoke contest which was super fun to see. The place was completely filled when we went for dinner time but they were still quick to take orders and bring the food out.

Restaurant review You can never go wrong with tacos. I was recently in town and cravings for tacos and spotted this restaurant next to Mariano's grocery store. It was lunch time and there were not many people there or we were early so we sat down quick and ordered. I didn't read the menu and ended up getting tacos American style with lettuce and cheese vs. the traditional onions/cilantro. Overall I would say that the tacos tasted good, not too chewy (carne asada taco). The chips come with three types of salsa which is nice. The tacos were fresh and not too oily which is what counts, but it was not a stand out meal where I would say I must come back. Time to try other tacos in the area! Pros: quick service, three types of salsa, appears to have live music on the weekends Cons: none Hidden deals: Monday 8.99 chicken enchiladas, 6 dollar house margarita

Los Fernandez is inside a strip mall right off of Barrington Road, not far from Golf Rd. We rolled in here 16 people large and got a table pretty quickly on a Sunday early afternoon. The dining area was huge and our large party got seated with no problem. I ordered the chicken fajitas, which was huge. Several others did as well. The chicken fajitas had a lot of veggies, but a decent amount of chicken (wish there was more). The interesting thing is, since we sat right next to each other, we got only 6 tortillas for 3 different people's fajita dishes. Thankfully they didn't charge us for ordering more. Besides the tortillas, the fajitas came with refried beans and spanish rice. I forgot whether it came with sour cream, as usually I don't care for em so that part I generally block out from my brain. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the veggies were amazing. There was not a lot of oil residue sitting at the bottom of the cast iron fajita plate, which you sometimes see with fajitas, so that was a definite plus. Despite our large party, we all got our food nearly at the same time, and we didn't wait more than 10-minutes to get our food. One cool thing about this place is that they have guacamole (pre-made) or guacamole made to order, right at the table side. My kids thought that was pretty cool. One thing to note, because of our large party, we were limited to divide the check only four ways. I get that it's a pain in the buttocks to get separate checks for everybody, so not really a complaint, but more of an FYI. Overall, great service considering the amount of people we had, and everybody was well fed. Food was really good. BATHROOM REVIEW: Bathroom was along blue wall near the back. The mens had 3 urinals and a couple of stalls. Bathroom was somewhat clean, but it did the job. Sit or squat? Squat.

I ordered two steak burritos. My steak was burnt and tough. I added rice to both burritos as well and the rice was mushy.

When we arrived, there was one other couple at a table. Other than the staff, no one else was there. We were seated and given menus right away. Our server took our drink order and we asked for an order of guacamole. He brought our drinks along with a basket of chips and salsa quickly. We ordered our meals - a two tostada dinner and a three taco dinner when he served the guacamole. The chips and salsa were good, but I like my salsa a bit spicier so asked if they had any. He brought two bottles of homemade salsa, one green and one red. The guacamole was over $10 and was small. Strangely, it had somewhat of a sweet taste to it and wasn't what we expected. Our meals came out about ten minutes later. The presentation was nice, as you will see in my pictures. The food was okay - not spectacular. We had expected better. The Carne Asada in the tacos was actually very good. The Al Pastor was just okay. On the Tostadas we had Al Pastor, too, and one was guacamole which I've already described. We skipped desert. Although we weren't thrilled with the food, the portions were large and we were both very full when we finished. The service could have been better, especially since there were only two tables filled. After the food was served, we didn't see our server again. We waited for the check and finally had to get up to find them and ask for it. It is possible that there were only two people working. We didn't see any other employees so it may be the servers were also bartending and cooking, which could explain the service we experienced. Both of those we saw were very nice and pleasant, just not as present as we expected.

I was torn between a chicken mole dinner or just good old tacos. I opted for the tacos Al pastor with rice and beans. I have had Al pastor at many, many places, and it's been interesting to see people's takes on the recipes. These were, hands down, the best I've had anywhere. The meat was charred nicely, yet tender. The marinade/sauce had the perfect balance between the sweetness of the pineapple and the counterbalance of the lime, cilantro, and onion. I was so proud of my selection, that I ordered some to-go for my daughter to try. I also had a delicious strawberry margarita and finished off with a tres leches dessert. Everything was superb! I'll be back for that mole someday, and will also try their Taco Tuesday. Judging from my food, as well as the presentations of others choices that I noticed, I believe their chef is seriously talented and creative.
