I had Molcajete de Mariscos with lots of different kinds of seafood and it was delicious! Clean restaurant, warm welcome and great service. Highly recommended!!

My wife and I ate there for the first time this afternoon. No customers were in the restaurant at the time. The waitress seated us at a table. She took our drink order. We placed our order for food. And it came to the table in an average time. My wife ordered the nacho asada fries dish it was and the asada was very salty. I ordered the Talapia plate and it was great for me, but my wife was not pleased with her salted dish.

I highly recommend this restaurant. Large portions of everything. Cadillac Margarita was perfect. The staff were super sweet. We came from out of town and ate here twice during the weekend. Don't skip the Langoustines. The restaurant was very clean.

Tried this hidden Mexican restaurant near Coastal Ranch supply. Surprisingly large space with a huge varied menu including mexican fare, American and some itslian. . Good service from our hostess Mercedes. Enjoyed the Shrimp quesadillas. Large portions. But the turkey ham club was soggy and the cheddar cheese was probably american slices, so it was just so-so. Great fries. Tasty Cadilac margaritas. The one odd thing was the water. It had a really bad taste. Which is strange for Central Oregon. Maybe its well water? Nonetheless It should not be served!

Soooooo.....we're torn. First off, Los Langostinos (The Prawns) is located in a strip mall in Redmond, Oregon. The location is peculiar. But one thing we've noticed when it comes to Mexican restaurants is that the location has ZERO to do with the quality of food. Sometimes the worse the location, the better the experience. We went for date night hoping to have a solid Mexican food experience. We walk in and the waitress, is about as kind and accommodating as you can be. A real gem. We were seated at a table against the wall; no biggie. There are only tables, no booths. The restaurant alone feels mind map, almost like the my decorated it their self. Nothing really made sense. All very cold and stark and dark. The waitress was very attentive. She got us chips and salads and our menus. I feel like a Mexican restaurant can almost be judged by the 'chips and salsa' experience. The chips were bland and the salsa was warm. Not a deal breaker, but... We each ordered a margarita. One perfect margarita and one fresh margarita. The margaritas were HUGE! Unfortunately they were flavorless and waaay too sweet. Still we weren't giving up. The restaurant is called The Prawn because it focuses on seafood. There were a few other options but not many. Again we love seafood and we knew it the restaurant was focused around seafood, but it was literally JUST seafood. . I ordered the ceviche and my wife ordered the fajitas. The Fajitas - Tons of meat and the portion size was huge. One word describes them, bland and tasteless. Sorry, that was two words. It was odd, they didn't even taste Mexican, just kinda eh. Ceviche - Tons of seafood. No complaints about the portion size. There were grilled prawns that sat on top and tons of other seafood. But, it was tasteless. I can't explain it. It was limey, and fresh but just kind of 'ok'. It also came with the world's largest oyster. It was so big I had to cut it into four pieces (see picture). In the end, I think the chips and salsa surmised it for us. It was the metaphor for the experience to be had. Just ok. Im sorry, we really wanted to like this place. The people were kind and attentive and helpful. It's almost like it's owned by people with access to fresh seafood and want to own a restaurant. The idea is great, the execution feels flat. Give it a try yourself. Maybe we have COVID taste buds. Staff - Environment - Food - Drinks - Price - Overall -

Arriving after 6 pm , place was busy but there were still enough seating for us. Both , my wife and I were tired and very hungry from our 3 hour trip. There aren't many choices for vegetarians but my wife found the Huevos Rancheros. Fried eggs served on a crispy tortilla with refried beans, topped with warm salsa Red or Green. Chopped fresh cilantro, queso fresco, drizzled with sour cream and avocado slices... Her first experience eating the Huevos Rancheros was a good one. Very tasty . Just a little too much salsa. The dish was swimming in it. I had the Carnitas de Puerco. Slow simmered pork, quickly fried at the end. Served with arroz mexicano, refried beans, queso fresco, fresh pico de gallo, guacamole, tortillas a mano. True Mexican Cuisine. This Chef's mother's recipe is a must have... I like the little tortillas where you can put nice bites of carnitas, rice and beans, and guacamole all in one . Very flavorful. The carnitas is moist and extremely tender. Our waitris was informative, friendly, and gave us great service. Glad to have another great Mexican restaurant in the area.

There was only one server who also doubled as the bartender. She was pretty amazing in that she was handling everything and took our orders (there were four of us) without writing anything down. I figured "no way" our orders would come out correct. She proved me wrong, that's for sure. Everything was perfect and exactly as ordered. I had a burrito/enchilada plate and it was fine but not outstanding. I've had better similar orders at other places in the Central Oregon area. Others at my table loved their orders which consisted of pork chops and tacos. I will say the jalapeño margarita was the best I have ever had. Comfortable place but it is pretty small.

I read good things about this restaurant, so we decided to try it. We ordered take-out yesterday…read moreevening. The order was for their Casa Bowl Special with shrimp, listed at $22.99 on the menu at THEIR website. The ingredients list "Chicken, beef or shrimp, green onions and mushrooms in a creamy sauce, served with rice, beans and slices of avocado." What we received were a good amount of tasty shrimp, mushrooms, LOADS of sliced WHITE (or yellow?) onion, rice, beans and COLE SLAW, not AVOCADO slices. It came with tortillas as well as chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were a nice touch. We were charged $26.00. I have a GI condition where I am not able to eat regular onions, but am allowed green onions. I am also not able to have cabbage, but am allowed avocado. Fortunately, my husband was able to eat that portion of the meal. I'm disappointed that the restaurant did not provide the item that we specifically ordered off their menu because it appeared to accommodate my dietary restrictions. If they changed the ingredients in a menu item or increased their prices, they should have updated their online menu.

The service was excellent & so many good menu choices! Fairly typical decor but very clean tables & nice music too! Again, this is a fast food restaurant, so it more than met the standard. The girls ordered carne asada fries & a carnitas torta. Both were good size portions & were tasty! My lengua burrito-served enchilada style- was excellent! Big chunks of tender meat & delicious sauce made it a burrito worth ordering again. We also enjoyed the salsa bar & their zanahorias en escabeche (Mexican carrots with jalapeño & onion) were some of the best we've tried. I got The burrito and it was nice and hot and made it home with plenty of warmth left. I have noticed a trend here of portion size decreasing over time so I decided to weigh my burrito. Maybe we can throw some rice in or beans, not a lot but something to make us feel a little more satisfied. Anyways, will go back and follow up in a couple months.

Daughter chose a Chili Relleno Rice and Beans. Ok...back to the Margarita. Weird taste and honestly I question if there was any tequila in it? Hmmmm?. Food arrived shortly after. It looked so good and beautifully presented. I appreciate great plating! Upon digging in I was rather disappointed. It was very bland. Not bad, but very lackluster. Note: Rice and Beans were delicious. Daughter's Relleno? Looked amazing but the Poblano Pepper was not even close to being done. Therefore the cheese was not even melted inside? Not to mention there was hardly any sauce on it? The inside of the restaurant looks more like a cute breakfast place with little to no Mexican decor. That said, the Mexican dishes we had were delicious and really stood out. Honestly, leaning more into the Mexican restaurant direction might be their best path because that food was excellent.
