The food is pretty good here. My favorite is the crunchy tacos. This is where I come when I want crunchy tacos. Theirs are the best.

I would give zero stars if i could.I got real bad food poisoning from this place.Stay far away.If ya look behind the place the garbage is overflowing with old oil bottles.The bathroom behind it is filthy too.Something is going on with the cleanliness of their kitchen. Maybe the people cooking are not washing their hands or something. I have to edit my review. I always use my credit card but they do not give me a receipt. So I started noticing something on my credit card bill, I was over-charged. I went back through the old credit card bills and it had been happening...A LOT. So I started paying attention and asking. I'd ALWAYS ordered the same exact burrito and nothing else that costs $9.50. So my CC bill would be $10, $11, $12 usually and a few times $16 and one time $25. So I started asking at the window. The ladies were always nice and corrected it. The one short man who is very muscular, and a heck of a fast worker, corrected it. But other men who worked there ***SLAM, they'd slam the window in my face. So I went back through 90 days worth with my credit card company and they gave me a credit for each and every one of the over charges. And I never went back. Every time in Redmond I get hungry around lunch I think about this place and how much I enjoyed it for many years. It makes me very sad. But I'll never go back. I enjoyed my visit to Rigoberto's Taco Shop. It was quite busy when we visited but the food was ready pretty quickly! We dined in but there were plenty of people getting take out and drive through. I got a Chile verde burrito and a horchata. I was happy with both things. The Chile verde pork was good and the verde sauce was good. Horchata was sweet but not unreasonably sweet and refreshing. We walked here from our Hotel at midnight because there wasn't anything else open for food. They asked us to wait in the drive-through line with the vehicles as there was no walk-up window. So remember when I said Bend was food desert - save a few outstanding restaurants close to Wall Street? This is another example of what I mean. Being a native San Franciscan - Mission Street has spoiled me. Well, really California as a whole has spoiled me. The abundance of great Latin food I've had over the years refined my palate. Things to know before you visit: First - it's mostly a drive through. Small but efficient. There is always more than a few cars at a time here so don't come if you're pressed for time. Second - it is a hole in the wall which I thought would make this exceptionally delicious Mexican food and a welcome departure from Chipotle. It wasn't. Chipotle is more flavorful. *cries* Third - you get huge portions of food when you order the plates with rice and beans. The breakdown: The flavor of my Combination Plate was too subtle. It tasted like tomato sauce with no spice in it. Not heat spice but spice spice. It also lacked heat spice. The beans and rice were delicious. The beans were silky with good flavor. The rice was well seasoned, fluffy, and the kernels had the telltale split. The chorizo in my tacos was strange. It was beautifully charred and wonderfully greasy but the taste was off. It was gamey and again the seasoning was not deliberate which made this very bland. My husbands Oregon burrito was a disaster. Menu said beef, onions, potato. By potato they mean french fries. We both took a bite and it sat there untouched until I cleared the table. It went on the trash bin. Money wasted. Overall if you manage your expectations you will be fine. If you're California transplant from LA or SF you might be disappointed. All in all I give 2 stars because it was a nice break from Chipotle. I prefer mom and pops over corporate chains if I can manage it. Bend is over-saturated with fast food/chain restaurants and the majority of mom and pops make such bland food you'll be disappointed you wasted time and money. The prices were fair. The service was excellent! Very friendly and helpful. If they started preparing food the way their families eat, this would be a great asset to the culinary scene. A lot of ethnic restaurants in Bend can only function if they dramatically water their food down to accommodate the bland local palette. No one wins when you make food that is such a far cry from what it should be. Food critics, foodies, and chefs have universal understanding of what the expectations (flavor profile and technical merits) are for dishes. Watering that down is a disappointment. read more

I have been a frequent visitor of this place for many years. I noticed the quality of their food going down hill, still supported. After today, I will no longer support. They messed up all three items in my order. I went back and told them my children are allergic to cheese and I did not ask for carne asada in my bacon burrito. They grabbed my burritos back from me, opened them, scrapped out the cheese and picked out the carne asada. My children are ALLERGIC to cheese. You can not just scrap some of the cheese out and give it back to me!! No apology either, just annoyed with me. I noticed the girl scratched her scalp and touch my burrito after they opened it and all looked inside. Behind disgusting. We came here on the recommendation of our hotel check in clerk. It was one of the only places still serving food after 10pm. I love burritos and I eat them all over the country. Every burrito I've ever had came with my choice of meat, beans, and rice at the very minimum so when I ordered a carne asada burrito that's what I expected to get. I was sadly mistaken. I got back to the hotel late at night and starving to find out my burrito only had meat in it....no beans....no rice....just meat. I ate it and went to sleep. I grew up in SoCal and this reminds me of my favorite place down there. I always order the carne asada burrito and usually order the beef taquitos (rolled tacos). Salsa bar is definitely the star of the show. The spicy red sauce is really good and makes everything taste delicious. The asada tacos and burritos are both good for the price.
