I went here because it was the closest place to get pupusas. I ordered three, and right away I noticed they were absolutely submerged in oil. I've eaten pupusas many times and have never had them dripping with that much oil, which was my first red flag. They claim to serve authentic pupusas, but in my experience, authentic pupusas are not supposed to be dripping or submerged in oil. I ate half of one and shortly afterward became very sick with diarrhea. Based on my experience, I would avoid this place like the plague. I've been to this place many times. My mother who lived in El Salvador for 20 years really loves coming here because it reminds her of home. Although some food items are different/ modified they're still delicious! The tamales taste just the way my grandma used to make them and the pupusas are delicious! The platanos fritos, beans, and crema are also really yummy! Sometimes they do take a while to bring your food put but everything seems to be cooked as you order and I know when my mom cooks Salvadoran food it takes a little longer. If you've never had pupusa it's a Salvadoran dish made with masa and filled with various ingredients like pork, cheese, beans or other savory ingredients. This is eaten with curtido (fermented cabbage mix) and tomato salsa. The Pupusas are handmade to order so expect a longer wait than usual. When served they come out hot and fresh. I came here and ordered 2 Pupusa Revuelta and left with a full belly because these are hearty and thick. The Casamiento (beans and rice mix) was flavorful and for dessert the Dulce was incredibly sweet...way too sweet for me. Customer service was great and they do accept cash and credit card. read more

I've been coming here for over 25 yrs and the food hasn't changed. It's always wholesome and delicious. The lady's that work here are very hard working and you can tell they care about the customers. The pupusas were good but on the small side compared to the other molcajete on mariposa. They don't carry the rice version pupusas or refresco de ensalada which is very disappointing. FYI you can't come and eat inside the restaurant 1 hour before closing (bad for business) but hey it's not my rule. Would I come back? Probably not because the customer service is not great. Hands down the best pupusas ever! Prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. I recently placed an order through Uber eats for delivery. The app doesn't offer bean and cheese pupusas as an option so the restaurant told me to add it to the note in the delivery app. Each pupusa comes with cortido and salsa included and if you want extra there's the option for it. Since each pupusa is made fresh, there is a wait time for your order to be ready. To plan ahead for this, I scheduled my order so the Uber eats driver wouldn't have to wait that long. The pupusas were still hot and fresh by the time they arrived. I wasn't able to snap a picture because my guests devoured them as soon as they arrived. I used to frequent this restaurant, but due to repeated bad experiences, I will no longer be coming back. Sadly, many people I know have also stopped eating here for the exact same reasons.The biggest issue is a female employee with tattoos (I did not get her name). She is incredibly rude and does not know how to speak to customers or her own colleagues. During my last visit to pick up food, I witnessed her yelling at a customer simply because they parked next to her car. There are no signs restricting parking in that spot, yet her aggressive behavior caused the customer to move their vehicle and leave without their food.On top of the terrible service, order accuracy has become a major problem. Multiple times now I have gotten home only to realize my order was incorrect. Because it is a long drive back, I do not return to get it fixed.I highly recommend that management or the store owner look into their staff training and behavior. In the mood for some homemade popusas. This is a very small establishment, if you're lucky you'll get a seat when you get there if not be prepared to wait. Usually wait time is about 30 min to an 1 hour. The popusas are very fresh and well made right off the comal. The platanos fritos with beans are really good too. They close the dining area at 5 pm and after that is take out until 6 pm. I got there 5 min before 5 pm and they did not allow me to sit down to eat, even though I pointed out that it was not 5 pm yet. I ordered since I was already there and had to wait outside for an hour. Get there early or you'll be looking thru the window. Pupusas are good but a little too greasy for my taste, even my husband mentioned that and he likes greasy foods - lol! I felt their sauce and curtido was lacking flavor that was disappointing. Place is a little small and when you order to go not inviting setup, I felt I was in the way waiting for my food. Service was okay since I was getting food to go. They had sign that said cash only by register which was a lie they have device for payment but they left sign which was odd and confusing not just to myself but while I waited for food people paying also confusingly asked if it was really cash only!
