Even though it had been a couple of days and i warmed it in the microwave, the masa was still very moist.

Cuzzz this is technically ELA (& that is my stance) & like I said before, I really had no reason to venture out of my little neighborhood, especially for tacos. & I will not even mention that just cuz this was in a famous iconic movie that still didn't motivate me to visit. so anyway, as soon as I pull up There's no parking but i make my own spot heehee Upon entering on a sunday afternoon its busy but no line out the door I peruse the dry goods & theres a variety of dried chiles, tamale husks & semillas for pipian im assuming. Theres coolers for tall cans & 6 packs ofc & single Gatorades, soda, canned flvor Topo Chico etc Staff is all 100% professional & above & beyond & then some! Prices average Selections of meats average I MISTAKENLY THOUGHT this was like an indoor mall w// many food vendors (like El Mercadito) So I ordered like a pound of Carnitas to go & 2 tacos de lengua to eat in the car. ( tons of meat, im guessing 4 oz each, flavorful & not dry) The tortillas are handmade & extremely thick af, like a gordita. My family loved the carnitas. she even gave me a sample of buche They take non cash payments Will return if i have to. Will recommend due to customer service & it is like a must if in LA

My dad ordered the Ceviche Nayarit, I ordered the Enchiladas La Casita Mexicana and my wife ordered the Enchiladas Tres Moles. The ceviche tasted fresh, but not really my favorite dish were had. I would say the Enchiladas Tres Moles was my favorite dish we picked. My only problem with that dish was that I wanted more. The plate they served it on made the 3 Enchiladas look small. Customer service was great. Food was great. The interior/exterior was really nice. If you have dogs the patio section in the back is where you'll want to eat from. Great experience. I'd come here again.

I forgot exactly what I had, I want to say it was bistec ranchero or something like that. it was good, nothing bad, but also felt average. They served us chips with mole on top and I was like, why did they pour mole all over, bring a little bucket of mole and let me dip it on the side. That's what a good Christian would do, but no, they went with an anti-Christian practice here, communist almost. don't assume I want everything with mole. I would have been ok with it if the mole had been bomb ass good, but it was ok. I had heard this place used original Oaxacan mole or something so I was hyped. My wife had some eggs with whatever the heck a Filipino woman orders at a Mexican place and she's was fine. I feel bad about this review, maybe this place is a victim of its former reputation, and I was expecting very good Mexican food and all I got was OK Mexican food. Also, for a true Mexican spot, you need to have café Mexicano, with canelita and the waiter told me they didn't have any. How can this be? I do not approve. Maybe if you are white or non-Mexican or a fake Mexican, I think you would have a different opinion of this place, you might think is great, just like El Torito is. Am I confusing this place with some other restaurant because the place I heard of was in Bell and the cooks/chefs were this renowned chefs and I don't think that's the case here or now. For sure, this place is not bad and I don't think you will get bad food, it was just underwhelming.

Before I got my food they served me a bowl a noodle soup. I ordered 2 chicken and one cheese and they did not charge extra for a different filling. The chicken enchiladas were great. The cheese was the thicker cojita cheese, it was good but not what I'm used to, I was expecting melted cheese. The rice was great, I don't usually like rice from Mexican places it's usually dry or not very flavorful, this rice was perfect. The decor inside is vibrant and colorful and there are a couple sticker and candy and one claw machine inside. Although, I rode my bike there, there is easy parking if you drive. They also gave me a free gift bag with candy and popcorn in it.

My wife and I went to try this restaurant in East L.A. called MI Casita Poblana. This restaurant is small but a very beautiful interior with Mexican art including painting it feels like a musuem in Mexico show it's true color of Mexico. We look at the menu display but the owner/chef hand a menu told us to sit and look at menu and decided what to order. My wife order the La Mexicana plate comes with rice and black beans and three hand made blue corn tortillas and I order the Mole Poblano de Pollo it's chicken cones with rice and black beans and chef came hand soupa de fideo the soup was very good before our arrival. Everything at the restaurant is made fresh and made to order using fresh ingredients daily. The chef came with our meal it looks so fabulous including the blue corn tortillas. I took a bite of my Mole Poblano the chicken was so tender and full of flavor with mole bring little sweet and little bit of heat that everything together in this dish. With blue corn tortillas add more flavor pulling the mole and chicken was so good with layers of incredible flavors. The rice have intense of flavors then I mix it with mole wow great flavors, the black beans were very good in flavor. My wife enjoy her La Mexicana plate and happy with her meal. We need bring family and friends to experience the food and the art including the restaurant.
