Absolute crap food!!! Ordered Chile Verde and it came cold, not even like warm, just cold! I get managers attention, tell her it's cold and ask her to touch it and she said no because they will reheat the dish! I said no that's nasty as it should have never left the kitchen. She left without even saying a word and has not been back to say anything more! Ordered Ribeye medium, and arrived rare and no flavor! And the chips are bought, salsa needs salt/ flavor! Now i understand the 3.4 star reviews!!!

We truly appreciate Valenz Mexican Kitchen and their wonderful restaurant, food truck, and catering…read moreservices. El Dorado Hills is fortunate to have such an excellent local business. Valenz catered our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at our home, serving approximately 40 guests. They set up on our deck, and the presentation was fantastic. Their personal service was outstanding, and we especially loved how warmly they interacted with everyone. They instantly became part of the celebration. Our guests enjoyed personalized service featuring tacos, burritos, beans, fresh salads, and custom sauces. Everything was delicious, well organized, and beautifully presented. The breakdown and cleanup were flawless. We could not have been more pleased and only wish we had another reason to do it all over again. As summer winds down, anyone looking for a catering option for a wedding, family gathering, or neighborhood party should strongly consider Valenz Mexican Kitchen.

Patio and indoor dining options. Handmade ceramic mugs available in the entry. We were promptly offered our choice of window tables. We each ordered a burrito, and enjoyed the freshly made verde salsa as we waited. The Al pastor was delightful. He recommended the wet burrito for our next visit. Great food and beer, we look forward to visiting again.

It has been a few years since we have eaten here…read more Came in for a late lunch and the place was empty. The male owner was serving us and seemed very rushed. That was not a good feeling, but then he also did not speak English well. He messed up three of the four items we ordered and of course they all cost more than what we ordered. When we got the bill and told him, he got the cook and we were able to settle everything out easily. We were told that the owner's wife was out so he was serving. We were happy to hear that his serving was temporary :). I am not sure if we received the lunch item or dinner item because our bill was wrong, but I ordered the chile verde chimichanga which comes with rice and beans. It was hot and fresh and absolutely delicious! My partner had the bean and cheese lunch and he loved it as well. The salsa was flavorful and mild. All of the food was mild so next time I will ask for some spice! The restaurant is a good size and festive looking. It was clean and comfortable and the prices were good! We can't wait to go back!

It's been a couple years since we ordered take out from here and it was a bad experience…read moreunfortunately tonight when we did. Ordered half chicken which husband enjoyed but the rest was thrown out. 4 chicken flautas that were so burnt the meat looked like burnt steak. The chips they added for free were dark brown, the jalapeño poppers over cooked and dark brown was also missing any ranch for dipping. Lastly, we ordered 2 carne asada tacos and the meat was also burnt black and dark brown bits, no lime served on the side for these. After leaving a 25% tip online we'd hoped to have an enjoyable meal but we were disappointed. Also surprised at whoever packaged the food, letting it be served in that condition was concerning. We'll try elsewhere next time we are in the mood for good Mexican food.

Shoutout to Shingle Springs, CA. Delicia Restaurant…read more This small family owned and operated Mexican restaurant captured my heart after every minute passed while dining and after every bite. It was my first time here. The welcoming vibe, clean and simply quaint interior, very cool family staff, comforting yummy food and pricing made it a 5 star for me. I ordered the carne asada plate $18 that came with beans and rice. Mmm. Delicious. The meat had flavor, nicely cooked. Easy to cut with the typical restaurant steak knife( which you and I know isn't really a steak knife) but I'm saying this to make a point of the quality and tenderness of the carne asada. Refried beans and rice were on point, great flavor and consistency. But those beans were so good, I'm still thinking about them. Plus I had no after effects (chuckle) which means they were prepared well. The entree came with tortillas and condiments of chopped onion, cilantro, cream, gauc, and limes which not alot of restaurants provide. The entree was served on a warm plate. Nice touch pro touch. The chips are complimentary and self serve. The chip warmer is near the register. They provide the red salsa to your table. The chips tasted fresh and had a crispness. It held up after a bite and didn't fall apart. The salsa was phenomenal OMG yum, beautiful color, rich flavor. Mmm. Hubs ordered a tamale. $7.50. It was a good size, bigger than what I thought it would be. Check the photo I posted. That too was served on a warmed plate. The red sauce was OMG delicious. They give a generous serving of sauce. But you'll eat it all with the biggum tamale. Now to address the elephant in the room. (1) Since it's family operated and small staffed, that comes with potential wait times. Not loooong waits in service but not instantaneous either. In a fast paced world, even initially I thought 5 minutes was an eternity between seeing our server before I actually realized it was only less than 5 minutes. I survived and didn't collapse due to dehydration of not having my water glass refilled. Momentarily not having fresh napkins doesn't fall under survival skills. Possible wait time is mentioned in the menu. (2) The last seating is 30 minutes before the closing time. This is also mentioned on their menu.

Stopped in to try this restaurant for the first time and ordered food to go. The wait was about 20…read moreminutes, which is understandable since it's a small family-owned business. The chips and salsa were delicious, and the rice and beans were very tasty. The enchilada sauce was outstanding and really stood out. We will definitely be back to try other menu items. There is a wait for food due to the small staff size, but this is clearly mentioned on both the menu and the website. If you're in a hurry, this may not be the best choice, but if you have a little patience, the food is well worth it. Overall, we're glad we found this place and look forward to returning in the future.
