You know you're in for an authentic Mexican food experience when English is the language in small print on the menu and you're one of 5 people in the dining area not speaking Spanish. The food was amazing, with selections not available at other "Mexican" or TexMex places in town. This is as close to being able to go street food adventuring off the resort in Mexico as you're going to get in Omaha. And, the portions are HUGE! Be prepared to either share, or have leftovers. I pulled out of the BK parking lot down the street from here and glad I did. It was packed at lunch. A little rough looking from the outside, but don't let that fool ya. They have a loyal diverse following Had the steak burrito, which was massive and the steak had fantastic flavor. Add the chips n salsa - I couldn't finish it. Yes! It was authentic affordable Mexican food just like when I lived in Texas! [For the gringos, they don't serve tex-mex which is different.] I went a little crazy since I haven't had good Mexican in so long. I had Puerco Al Paster (top recommend), Carnitas and Asada tacos on a corn tortilla. I also tried Tamales. All very good. They serve a bowl of fresh chips with a red or green salsa (there are refried beans in the bottom of the bowl). I have discovered what I have been missing! I contemplated hard about writing a review about this place...it's not because of the food or service really, it's because it's such a diamond in the rough I wanted to keep this place a secret all to myself and my boyfriend. BUT, how Yelpy would that be? It would be very un-Yelpy-like so fear not, I am here to share with you this little gem of a place that was shared with us by our very own Omaha Community Manager Will S. I confess, we got a tad bit lost looking for it and when we parked outside we were uncertain of this place. But we put our trust in our CM and threw caution to the wind! Cuz that's how Yelpers roll, foodie adventures are what we love! We sat down and our waitress came soon after that offering water and drinks. We studied the menu a bit and decided on the Asada Nachos Supreme, I had the supreme tacos which I did not realize they would be similar to regular tacos {toppings etc} as tacos you would find at T.Bell, Joel had the Los Portales Quesadilla and there were a couple of tamales ordered as well. The Nachos were AH-mazing! If I could have ordered just that I would, perhaps next time I will. It had avocado, asada, cheese, sour cream, beans, the works and boy oh boy it was good! My boyfriend's Quesadilla was just as delicious and both were a generous size. And yes they have horchata horchata lovers! So there you go Yelpy peeps this little Mexican Diamond in the rough is one of those mom & pops that you gotta make a trip out to because the food is delicious and I may not be of Mexican ethnicity but I'm pretty sure this is authentic :) read more

This place looks dicey from the outside and you may be a bit thrown by the Goodrich sign, but come inside and experience a hidden gem. They have a good selection of meats and seafood. The cashier was very knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the quesadilla, which was filled with steak and cheese. It was perfectly cooked. Then I had a sope with carnitas. It was also abundantly topped with meat and other toppings. My only criticism is that the meat was under seasoned. The corn tortillas do not reheat well in the micro, which is not a criticism, but something to consider if you bring home leftovers. I can't wait to go back and try the tacos and tortas! read more

Another awesome recommendation and amazing South O Mexican food. Unassuming store front, fast food setup inside and just when you think "why did I come here" the chips and salsa arrive along with a menu full of all your favorites. I went with the tamale, a taco pastor, a taco lengua and rice and beans on the side. Home run!!!! The tamale was a perfectly spiced pork and chilis, the pastor was like nothing I have had before but can't wait to have it again - simply amazing. The lengua was tender and both cooked and seasoned well. I really enjoyed the rice and beans as well (especially the rice). I also had a a bit of a cheese enchilada and a beef enchilada. These are NOT the standard "load them with sauce and melted cheese" - queso fresco, just the right amount of sauce and simply terrific enchiladas. Now, the kicker. The ice cream! I have never had Goodrich before but the cookies and cream in the single serve cone was the best thing this side of Blue Bell and would be worth the trip itself. Overall, a great meal and an amazing price (seriously, that was cheap). read more

If I could give them 6 stars I would ! So polite and helpful to decide what we wanted. They even let us do half and half choices so we didn't have to pick. The prices were great for how generous they were with the meat portions and sauces! Food tasted GREAT! I loved the spice level compared to other restaurants with mostly bland food in my opinion. Best street tacos in Omaha fo sho. The al pastor are seriously full of flavor. Sweet from the pineapple and just the right amount of spice. Their salsa has a good kick! The best part is they are open til 2:30am on the weekend and til 11:00pm during the week! It really hits the spot after a night out or perfect for quick lunch. The interior is very basic and no frills. They also have many flavors of ice cream available. I always get my order to go, and they always make sure I get everything I need, including limes, salsa, silverware, and napkins. This place is so great!! My boyfriend has Mexican blood in him and it's been difficult to calm since we moved to Omaha. The homemade tortillas are delicious -- we bought 10 to take home. (Unfortunately, these are small tortillas, as they do not make their burrito sized tortillas in house, but whatever.) The red and green salsas are also delicious, and a rare spicy find in this small Midwestern city. I highly recommend the steak fajitas! They also sell ice cream and Mexican sodas here, which is a nice touch. Stop by when you have a chance and you won't regret it! I'll be returning many times, I'm sure. read more

Been coming here since 2013 it's usually my go to spot for tacos. The staff is great and the food is really good price.

Sadly one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. It was very busy which means you can expect service to be a little slower than normal. HOWEVER.....there was only 4 of us and we ordered tacos and quesadilla. About 45 mins after we ordered the waitress came and asked if we wanted corn or flour shells on the tacos? I said does this mean our order is not even in yet??? She said correct and walked away. THEY ARE TACOS!!!! We decided to get up and leave. Unfortunately I think the food would have been good but we didn't get a chance to find out. We went to a dive bar and had cheeseburgers at the table within 15 mins. If you go to this place don't go when busy.....they aren't prepared to handle that! read more

2 stars...barely. Family walked in about 1:30pm on Saturday, 12/23. 1:30, not exactly lunch rush (keep this in mind). The restaurant was about half full (ppl at about 6-7 tables). The wife and son ordered asada tortas: one w/o lettuce, onion, jalapeños; one w/o lettuce, tomatoes, cheese. Those orders were not precisely filled: the one that was supposed to have jalapeños did not. Neither of them had tomatoes, but one was supposed to. I had the asada burrito w/o lettuce, but with everything else; I got it w/o lettuce or sour cream. My request was "...no lettuce; no lechuga". Sour cream was never mentioned. So accuracy for all 3 items was a big bust. It took 30 minutes to get our food. Taste was mediocre overall; all the asada (steak) was tasty, but full of fat & gristle. One of the TVs was playing an extremely violent & bloody Mexican movie (people getting chopped up with an axe)...with plenty of kids in eyesight. The overly synthesized & auto-corrected Hispanic boot-in-the-dryer music was waaayyyyy too loud...hard to hear anything else. We wont come here again...much better places in Omaha's "Little Mexico". Lastly, I'm getting tired of cilantro-laden salsa in every restaurant I go to!!!!! Offer freaking salsas WITHOUT cilantro! Bring it out on the side for those who like it. It's not hard! read more

One of my favorite Mexican restraunt in town... I love the enchiladas, tacos and burritos.

The place I wanted to go to was closed, and luckily we found this hot spot late at night. I got a few tacos and a tamale. My friend had a quesadilla. The Tacos were a bit on the sloppy side of presentation but tasted great. The salsa's really set them over the top. The Tamale tasted good but was a bit hard. We didn't have the greatest service, our waters ran out and were never refilled. But we could have asked, it's not that big of deal. If you are in the area go, it's very good. read more

I don't know if it's authentic to have pineapples with al pastor, but I enjoyed the combo. Although I've had better corn tortillas elsewhere, the meat was tender and yummy.
