Over the last couple years. The service has gone downhill here. They are constantly getting new groomers and you don't have a consistent experience. At the time you get somebody who doesn't know what they're doing and the other half of the time it looks great but it's just not consistent. Now I went and visited with the owner there and got up charged for silly things that I've never been charged before before despite going there every month for probably five years. Myself and many other customers are looking for a new place to go. You probably should too.

On this occasion, I was told the delay was due to flooding and traffic, but it was only light rain--and it quickly became clear these were just excuses. When a groomer finally arrived at 8:00 AM, I asked if they were scheduled for 7 or 8, and they told me they always start at 8. So why was I booked for 7 AM? To make matters worse, when I asked if my dog would be taken next, the manager initially said yes, but after a conversation between the groomers, she changed her story and claimed they had 8 AM appointments ahead of mine--even though my appointment was at 7 AM. It was frustrating and confusing. I had to request to the customer directly if it was ok if my 7am appointment could go first. There was also a dog in a crate in the back crying for over an hour--yet another example of poor care and lack of consideration. As I waited I saw 4 more dogs get dropped off all for appointments that already had multiple dogs waiting for the two groomers. Honesty and communication are essential in any business, but especially one where people are trusting you with their pets. The manager not only gave misleading information but also consistently fails to respond to messages or communicate clearly--except when it comes to offering excuses that aren't true. I picked him up and he had been de-shedded, nails AND his paws were trimmed!!! Some customers might be happy about getting a service they didn't pay for. If the de-shedding, nail and paw trim was what my dog needed AND it was a job well done, I might feel differently. But that is NOT the case! De-shedding issue: My Golden does NOT have the long, flowing "typical" Golden fur. His is fur is fine and short, it just doesn't grow much and does NOT to be de-shedded!! It finally had just gotten long enough this past year that it layed down. Now, it's sticking up every where, gets tiny tangles, is a shaggy mess! Nail trim and Trimmed paw issue: When I say, they trimmed his paws, you can see where they just snipped the "grinch fur" sticking up on the top of his paws, not that they did a nice trim job and blended the fur etc. Some Golden owners might not like the "grinch feet" but I am not one of them! The nails didn't even need a trim, now they have jagged edges!! The paw trim was not a job well done and was NOT a service I asked for!! My biggest issue though, is getting a service I DID NOT ask for or want!! WHY were grooming tools even near my dog when I ONLY ordered a basic bath?? I have sent an email asking a manager or owner to call me to discuss this. I have also called multiple times asking to speak to someone in charge or call me and nothing!! It's been a week now, No response to my email and no call back. So this is my first negative review EVER! So at this point, all I can say is, DO NOT GO HERE if you want any level of professional customer service or if you want any service that is what you asked for and looks good!

We have 2 large dogs and Rita's does not have a large dog or weight restriction. They take all dogs! Walk ins are available for nail trimmings. Usually takes a good 10 minutes, very quick service! Front desk lady is very nice and knowledgeable about double coated dogs. She always gives us tips and we know we can trust them to take good care of our dogs. For longer appointments, such as baths, deshedding, etc.. they do require you to schedule an appointment. Our husky mix always smell so good whenever she gets a bath here. Her fur gets super soft and she comes home wearing a nice bandana. Also, prices here are very affordable. We definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a good grooming place for their fur babies!!
