Chicken taco, no seasoning, pico is 90% onion.

Horrible wait time,I waited 15 minutes for two "tacos". When i finally got the two tacos they were room temperature and practically ZERO seasoning. They also ask if you want "pico" which turns out to be 90% onion. They ask if you want spicy or mild sauce which are the same amount of spicy when you taste them. The meat they use is most likely from a wholesale chain like Costco and does not justify the price point. These tacos should be $1.00 AT MOST. The only positive thing I can say is that she is nice. If they want to improve they need to: increase the quality of their meat OR drastically lower the price, advise customers on the wait time for their order, and increase their productivity they push orders out far too slow. Worst spot in this area.

A local hot spot with a line at the counter and drive thru... Inside there is seating and alternating persons at the counter.. one speaks English ( very nice personality with awesome people skills) and the other is bilingual person whom I didn't meet. If you eat in, food is served in styrofoam to go boxes. As for me, we ordered the breakfast plates at 10..00 each...barbecoa and rancheros... well, the beans were runny and heavy in garlic ( like freeze dried and add water kind), the potatoes looked like yesterday's greasy french fries diced and re warmed... The salsa was a warm soup that wasn't much of a traditional salsa.. The eggs were good. The barbecoa as well. My best guess is that the cooks are from a different region of Mexico or possibly another country. Needless to say, I would give 2 stars only in my opinion... Again my opinion only as there are many folks coming in and out.. your call if you visit but I would not recommend for authentic Mexican or text Mex expectations. Fast 2.50 taco, well maybe.

When Barbi comes here in hot pants and leans over the counter to order, it becomes Moonrise Taquito, but I don't have the pictures of that one yet. First time, I thought the breakfast tacos were really good and cheap and filling, and as far as Tex-Mex food goes, it did the trick. But after awhile, I brought Bae with me. We weren't as enthused about Sunrise Taquitos as we used to be. They were bit bland and service wasn't great. I still like them though, and they're cheap and well located in an area that doesn't have that much great Mexican food, because all the good Mexican food is a few miles away in Spring Branch and what not. If you're literally next to Memorial Park and literally want some good Tex-Mex then this is pretty much some of the cheapest and it's not bad.

THE BEST BREAKFAST TACOS IN HOUSTON This spot may be a turn off seeing it's in a gas station and the appearance isn't anything special. But the tacos are huge, fresh, and worth every penny. Usually eat 3 anywhere else, but 2 will fill you up here. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Carne Guisada taco, Picadillo taco, side order of rice and beans

Craved tacos... Ordered two tacos, a side of rice, and a side of beans. Flour tortillas: Tastes store bought and put on the comal for a home cooked taste. OKAY. Picadillo taco: Ground meat, potatoes, tiny pieces of onion. Tastes good enough to satisfy. Didn't dazzle. NO Carne Guisada taco: Flavorful, with chunks of stew type meat. Would get again. YES Rice: Taste homemade, like what your abuela would make. Pieces of tomato are throughout, giving rice a typical orange-stained color. Tiny corn and onion pieces give texture. YES Beans: Refried with what tastes like a hint of bacon grease. YES Green salsa: Tastes like VERY spicy green water. Red salsa: Tastes like watery blended tomatoes. I'll be back.

At the end of the bike trail on Buffalo Bayou you have two choices: Subway, or Sunrise (adjacent to Shell station). I bought my 24 oz Coors Light for $2.50 and waited for my Quesadillas under the shady awnings while wondering how Houston has been unable to grasp the revenue potential of a "Bayou Walk," lined with restaurants!!?? Until they do, Sunrise May Be the best alternative. Anyway, cheap but cold, beer compensated for uninspired gas station lunch

Really delicious breakfast tacos - the migas are perfectly tender-crunchy and the flour tortillas are the bomb.

We visited around 5:00 PM on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately for a party of two without a reservation. The restaurant is huge, and despite being very busy, the service was efficient. We were seated in one of the back dining rooms and greeted with complimentary chips and salsa, both of which were delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic--packed with World Cup fans, with what felt like everyone wearing a soccer jersey. As fellow futebol fans, we loved the energy. Being from California, we're fortunate to have access to some excellent Mexican food, so we were a little hesitant about trying Tex-Mex. I ordered the chicken fajitas with flour tortillas and a passion fruit margarita. The chicken had a smoky flavor and a sauce that gave the dish a distinctly Texas-style twist. The flour tortillas were outstanding, and the refried beans and rice were just as enjoyable. The passion fruit margarita was also a standout and something I'd definitely order again. Overall, this was a great dining experience and a place I'd recommend for the atmosphere alone. The restaurant appears well-equipped to accommodate large groups, making it a great option for gatherings. Next time, I'd love to return with a bigger group and take advantage of one of their margarita pitchers!

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!
