I've only ever gotten tacos from here but I decided to try a bowl. Ahh I was pleasantly surprised. One it was a lot of food two the presentation was not what I expected pleasantly so! Their bowl doesn't come in the setup that we've grown accustomed to at the usual tex mex bowl places. But any rate. I ordered a shrimp bowl with pinto beans. Omg it was so good and refreshing! While the restaurant is well kept and employees are friendly, either taco I had nor the guacamole was anything more than fast food or frozen and quickly made type of taste - very disappointed. The chicken fajita taco (Liberty Chicken) meat was tough - like it either was cooked too long and/or sat waiting to be used and bland. The barbacoa one was was just as bland which really surprised me. Unfortunately the guac was just smashed avocado - not guac. The chips were thick and hearty - possibly homemade? They weren't bad - but just weren't anything special. I was really hoping this was going to be as great as the reviews, but for this one, at least this first visit for me, it's a not recommended from me. Work had Liberty Taco catered for breakfast. There were egg, bacon, chorizo, and potato options available with a salsa verde and a yellow salsa. Salsa verde is usually the spicier one and everyone thought the yellow was a creamy one but it was very hot and kicked us in the mouth. This person jumped into action as I sat down, first bringing me my chips and queso, and then my tacos. It was something about the manner of attention to detail and speed that made it feel like I was well taken care of. I also watched ad this one worker took more orders and stewarded the entire space. I even saw them take an order out to a car The menu has something for everyone. Signature tacos, classic tacos, quesadillas, seafood options, veggie options, chicken, steak, etc The ambiance was fine. Again, plenty of seating, a spacious dining area. There were songs playing in the radio. The decor is quirky, but not overwhelming or distasteful The food was delicious. I didn't expect to enjoy the queso as much as I did. Sometimes a restaurant gives too many chips or too few, and somehow this felt like just the right amount. I was given a variety of sauces/salsas that were delicious. Warning: The deep orange one has quite a flavorful kick (spicy). I originally intended to just get a couple breakfast tacos but their menu has too many great sounding tacos. Staff were very friendly and helped me narrow down my decisions. We placed an order for the workplace and I called the store to ensure I got an itemized receipt. The employee who answered the phone was amazing...shot my receipt right to my phone and confirmed my order. What a pleasure it is doing business with places that go the extra mile for the customer. I personally order from Liberty often but this is the 1st time we've done a group order...my co-workers were impressed. Food was perfect, delivery was quick and driver friendly. 10/10 experience. Finally decided to try Liberty Taco after the many highly rated Yelp reviews in addition to me loving Tacos! I decided to go on a Monday morning and when I got there I was in fact worried because there wasn't a single soul in line. Variety is the spice of life, so I decided to pig out this morning! I order 1 barbacoa taco, 2 egg bacon and cheese taco, chips & queso, as well as 1 chicken taco. All the meat on each on of my tacos was well seasoned, eggs were great and (real). For some odd reason, the Queso stole the show! The only drawback for me was that the tortilla did not seem like it was freshly made and instead store bought, but nonetheless all still great. The tacos here are pretty good and definitely hot and warm . These hit the most when it's so cold outside. With that being said this place struggles with the concept of when to turn on the AC and when to turn on the heat . Also a few TVs for the place won't hurt em to get . The staff here is eh .... I have to say that these are by far some of the best breakfast tacos I have ever eaten. They are huge. I easily make one taco into two because they double up the tortilla and since they pack them so full you really get two tacos for the price of one. My favorite thing about this place is their homemade salsa. The red is mild, the green is medium, and the orange one is spicy. You can choose which salsa you want to accompany your taco. I always get all three and I end up eating the leftover salsa with a spoon. I love that this place offers their salsa in bulk. You can get a mason jar of their salsa for a great price. You also have the option of getting your breakfast taco and a bowl and getting the tortilla of your choice on the side. If you're looking for a great breakfast taco give this place a try. We have eaten at the Richmond and OST locations. Both are good. I have been working through the menu and all is very good so far. The Baja Fish, the Tejano Beef and Thai Basil are excellent. My wife has settled on the Liberty Steak and Liberty Chicken as her go to tacos. The prices are also reasonable. read more

Liberty Taco was pretty close to our hotel after a late night concert at NRG so we decided to give it a try. Chips & Queso were good. Very similar to Torchy's but without the heat. Two thumbs up I ordered 3 tacos: Bacon, Egg & Cheese - Barbacoa - Chorizo, Egg & Cheese. The Barbacoa was fantastic. Very flavorful & delicious. 8/10. The Bacon, Egg & Cheese was pretty delicious as well. It's thick cut bacon that was cooked spot on. 7.5/10 The Chorizo, Egg & Cheese was my least favorite of the 3. The eggs were overcooked a bit & the taco was a little dry. 6/10. Overall, I enjoyed our food & would stop back in when we are in the area. read more

Found this taco restaurant near the mail and it was a good place for reasonably priced tacos. This was my fist visit and the staff were helpful with food suggestions. The tequila lime shrimp taco was phenomenal!! Thai basil was also amazing. If the future I will pass on the chicken tinga taco, it consisted of shredded chicken abdwas just okay. Fantastic breakfast tacos, I come here about once a month when I don't have to run straight to work. I'll be honest in that I have only had their breakfast tacos, but they are amazing. The tacos are always made fresh and they are very filling so you will walk away full. DANG! This place is is good. I'm talkin, really good! I love fusion restaurants and they will already hold a special place in my stomach! We had the Liberty steak taco, Kogi taco, Fajita Quesadilla, and the chips and queso. I have zero things to say besides "everything was super tasty and left me NOT WANTING MORE". Usually I hate that I have to purchase more food or I'm thinking about getting snacks afterwards. All I want to do is lay down and rest after eating here. We're out of towners trying to find good Mexican breakfast. We found this place and overall a pretty good place. The service was excellent. Staff was friendly and attentive. Good vibes and clean. The tacos were plentiful and good tasting. My setbacks were there were not enough options and the the options are unlike your typical Mexican restaurants. Breakfast tacos all have cheese! The Caribbean chicken quesadilla, breakfast tacos, and wide assortment of fusion tacos are all really delicious. My go to is the Caribbean chicken quesadilla and bacon and egg tacos. Flavors are pretty good, comes with extra sauces on the side, and consistency is solid after several times. My review here is for delivery service, and food comes within a reasonable time frame, still warm and delicious to eat. Food is packaged pretty well and tortillas are still firm and haven't torn. I know people like to compare this place to Torchy's Tacos, and I think Torchy's may have the lead on over the top saucy tacos, but Liberty Taco does hold its own, and would say delivery quality is slightly better (b/c its less saucy). read more

These are some white people tacos! I feel the overall rating of four stars is totally fair as the service in and of itself is five star worthy while the food hits at three stars. I stopped by Liberty Taco on my way to the airport last work trip. I was immediately greeted by a friendly employee at the counter who helped me in making my decision and modifications to my order. I started with their chips & queso (no cilantro) and this was my fav item that I tried/ordered during my visit. I also went for the southwest bean and rice taco and a potato, egg, and cheese taco; all on flour tortillas. The server let me know what other salsas and items had salsa and was able to give me suggestions to avoid it and maximize my enjoyment of my meal. I grabbed my table number, got my drink, and selected my seat of choice. The chips and queso came out so quickly and was not only fresh, hot, and delicious, but had my order modification correct to boot and few minutes later my tacos arrived. The flour tortillas were fine, nothing special and tasted kind of generic. I started with the southwest bean and rice taco which came with a mango salsa on it. I enjoyed the taco moreso than my other item, my potato/egg/cheese taco. I am a HUGE breakfast taco fan (as anyone who's read many of my reviews will come to learn) and this taco wasn't bad...but it wasn't a standout at all, mostly kind of bland. Tho a few dunks in their awesome queso gave the breakfast taco a big flavor improvement. The fast, friendly service and the chips and queso are the major draw here for me and left a lasting impression. Yup, Liberty Taco is my fave taco spot (not street-style, for those who are extremely picky/knowledgeable about their tacos) so far in Houston. I have only ever called in to pick up my order here since COVID started. But I knew this was a spot I needed to check out after seeing the high ratings and plethora of reviews for this spot. Their phone service is superb. They have never gotten my order wrong, and they also read out the menu especially because I don't eat meat as a pesca. My go to's are their veggie breakfast tacos (potato, egg, cheese) and (bean, egg and cheese). OMG they get it RIGHT every single time. Moving from Austin, I thought I was going to be at a sore loss for my solid breakfast tacos...but Liberty Tacos makes up for what I miss from back there. Their seafood is also DIVINE. I've had their shrimp quesadillas as well as their shrimp tacos and grilled fish tacos. I gotta say EVERYTHING is done right. Their tacos are definitely my favorite items to order, but their quesadilla is filling too (and comes with a solid side of guac). I love this spot. Everybody there is nice and their wifi is free and STRONG. Their parking lot isn't too large, but I've never had trouble finding parking. Call to order and pick up. Trust me. Give me liberty or give me tacos! Well I can have both. This popped up on my YELP after my Tuesday jog so of course I rolled up here for taco Tuesday. Ordered two breakfast (brisket & jalapeño sausage), Liberty steak, Cajun fish, and the Cali club. All were packed with filling which is what I expect living in Texas. I don't have a favorite as all of them were delicious, filling, and flavor filled. This place has been hit by the pandemic sadly but they seem to still have good business with take out orders. My take out was packed securely and still was presentable when driving back the 15 minutes. While I thought about eating in the car, the comforts of your home with tacos in front of you is much more enjoyable than eating while driving. This will likely be in my taco Tuesday rotation.
