Went in while passing thru town for work. The food's not bad. I had the Arroz con Pollo, not sure about the more complex dishes. The rice was cooked properly, the chicken was fine. Queso sauce wasn't bad, not the best, either. House salsa was a little bland and cumin/oregano-heavy, in my opinion. Salsa picosa was good. I'd give them a solid 3 stars. A pretty middle-of-the road place. Maybe "middle of the 3 roads." The biggest drawback was the absolutely OBNOXIOUS music they had playing-some kind of Mexican Polka-meets-Techno assault on the eardrums. Had a great dinner here on a road trip 6 months ago and loved it, and now, driving the same route, I made SURE to stop by again! (We couldn't remember the name so we stopped at two different places along the way trying to find it THAT'S how worthwhile the food is.) Very unassuming place--looks like they might be doing some renovations--but an adorable patio for nice days and absolutely delicious. Driving through, reasonably priced, salsa was nice and tasty a little Smokey I got a chicken burrito with beans and rice, pretty average and tasty... my wife got the Torta which she enjoyed, it was slot of mayo which was on both sides instead of refried beans on one side but the french fries were not so tasty, the oil they were cooked in seemed to taste a bit old ... over all pretty good. read more

Wow, I didn't expect a great little Mexican spot right off the highway in southern Illinois, but this place is great! Loved it. I got the pollo ixtapa, chicken grilled with onions and peppers with a creamy sauce (served with tortillas and rice, which I didn't need since the dish itself was plentiful), Mary got the carnitas molcajete, a big hot stone-bowl filled with meats, grilled onions, nopal (cactus) in a sauce, with cheese: both are highly recommended-- yummy. Decor is Mexican, not kitschy but not fancy, well lit, with contemporary Latino music playing-- but the five stars are for the food, not the decor. Definitely worth a stop. read more

Are you walking to the restaurant you know for a fact that it's going to be good everything looks like you're in Mexico I wasn't surprised at all when I taste my taco and guac It was so delicious. Not only that but we had pico de Gallo that actually made my heart happy! My son on the other hand he had a steak burrito (no cheese sauce) which was so big that he couldn't even pick it up to eat it but the inside of it was absolutely phenomenal!!!!! For a roadside stop it's pretty good. I had the enchiladas supremas- the cheese one was especially good.

This place is the absolute best. From amazing food to the wonderful staff. We luckily stopped here on our way through town and left So satisfied. Cold beer and Perfect margarita. The chips and salsa were fresh and still warm. We enjoyed a burrito with pineapple topping and enchiladas Camino. Both were big yummy portions. The menu was great and we wish we could have stayed to try more selections!! We ended with delicious fried ice cream! The service was professional, timely and super friendly. Convenient location right off the highway and good service makes this a good choice for travelers looking for some quick Mexican cuisine. We enjoyed our chips and salsa and both agreed the food was good, but fairly average with very little of the "Mexican heat" you might expect. I give them high marks on the tamale masa dough; so many are either mushy, overdone or mealy. Theirs had a good flavor and perfect consistency, although it was wrapped around only a tablespoon or so of meat. They offer a very large menu selection (in a format that was a bit challenging to read) and offer the usual Mexican dessert selections of flan, sopapillas, banana burritos, churros and fried ice cream. There is a small selection of menu items for kids, but it does include the critical chicken fingers, burgers and cheese fingers that most kids demand. They do offer a deck with outdoor seating, plus they have draft, American and Mexican beer as well as the usual Margaritas, wine and other alcoholic beverages including Tequila shots. read more

Los Tres Caminos is in a strip mall and could be overlooked, but they are always busy because I'm pretty sure most people go there more than once. Food is tasty, and service is fast. Most of the staff speak Spanish as their first language so don't expect a lengthy explanation if you ask "what is this?" about an item on the menu. Chips and salsa are fresh, atmosphere is friendly and upbeat. It is not a place where people hang out for long periods of time. The staff is efficient and gets people in and out pretty quickly. They can accomodate a party of 10-15, but overall it is a small place and they depend on couples and smaller families to come in, eat, and leave. It was worth the drive from Casey to eat here. Love the waitstaff and the timely service. The jumbo margarita was very impressive for the price. I ordered rice, cheese and chicken with tortillas.. nothing spectacular about that. My boyfriend got the tres Caminos fajitas and they were to die for! The flank steak was perfectly cooked, huge shrimp and tender strips of chicken with crunchy veggies. His plate came stacked with plenty of rice, beans, lettuce and all the goodies. The portions are very large so we were able to eat leftovers for lunch. We always order our kids the tacos because they are very well price. 3 for 4.25 I think? I am giving 5 star because considering the middle of nowhere the food was surprisingly decent and waiter was very polite.

Tried to eat dinner here. Someone seated us and 15 minutes later still no one offered us anything to drink or offer chips. We left. Very disappointed after I saw it was rated so highly. I'm actually a very good tipper. Next time I come through here I'll go to Arby's instead. read more

They open promptly at 11:00 am. We were greeted with smiles and were seated quickly. The chips and salsa were very good. Our food was served very warm and the grilled vegetables were seasoned just right. They serve good portions and we left there well fed. I would recommend them very highly. read more
