I've been here twice and I loved the fast lunch. It comes with a soup, tacos or flautas and a small dessert and drink. The waitress was the same as last time and shes feisty but sweet. I've been going to Los Tres Gallegos for years with my family. It's one of our favorites and since I moved away from El Paso 14 years ago, so every time I come to visit, we make it a point to come here together. This review will be based off my most recent visit. We came in on a Tuesday morning, around 8:30A, it wasn't busy at all and we were seated promptly. Our server approached us quickly and throughout the entire meal checked in on us regularly, gave us refills, and was overall very hospitable. The restaurant itself is super spacious and clean. They played great music throughout our time there and had a tv going with some news in the background. I come to Gallegos for my favorite meal--the barbacoa plate with flour tortillas. The barbacoa here is sooooo good--tender, moist with a little bit of grease as it should be. It comes with a side of Mexican rice and refried beans with cheese. Visiting from Austin you can't beat the quality and price found at home--it's always my favorite part coming back. Until next time!!! read more

Slow day at lunch and it was just me so very quick service. I ordered and 5 minutes later my caldo de res appeared. The caldo was average, could be fresher , but perfectly edible. I actually liked their refried beans which was surprising as I'm very picky on beans . I liked that they give you both red and green salsas but the salsas were average in flavor. Overall not a bad place and I needed somewhere to eat while I got my car worked on across the street but I wouldn't be back except out of convenience. read more

Ordered cjhilaquiles verdes with eggs, chilaquiles were average but eggs were over done and crunchy/ burned around the edges. My son had chorizo and eggs "it was food" his assessment. I've never been to El Paso, but I definitely wanted to try some awesome food while I was there. My girlfriend's mom suggested this place because of their buffet. I'm not really one for buffets, but I'm also not one for getting on a significant other's mother's bad side, so there we went. We went early, so it wasn't lunch time yet. It'd be more of a brunch time, but they only serve breakfast or lunch. We got up to look at the buffet. It was the breakfast buffet, not the lunch buffet, since it was a little early. I didn't see one thing on the buffet that looked appetizing to me, so I decided I'd just order something off the menu. Our service was pretty slow. Took the woman who was serving a while to get us simple things like napkins and waters. I wanted to get burritos, but then I opted to go ahead and branch out. I went with the Huevos Rancheros Omelet. When I ordered it, the waitress gave me a look and sounded surprised that I had ordered it. I know that it sounded like an odd dish, but I wanted to see what it was all about. I should have known from her reaction that it wouldn't be any good. When the food did arrive, I looked at it like "what have I gotten myself into?" I guess I didn't actually realize it would be just that... an omelet with huevos rancheros sauce on it. Not mixed in, but actually on it. It did not taste very appetizing, but I still ate a portion of it. It wasn't the worst thing I have had in the world, but it wasn't very good. The ham was cut in big chunks. It just tasted off. The beans and rice were decent enough, so I ate as much of them as I could. The tortillas she brought to our table were pretty good. Soft and fluffy. I put some of my lunch in them, and that seemed to help. Overall, I wouldn't go back there again. I don't know when I'll be in El Paso next, but I'll do my best to pass on this place. read more

Visited this Restaurant for the first time on a Saturday morning. We did not get acknowledged right way but we were okay with it because the staff seemed busy. We had the option of ordering from a menu or getting the buffet. We decided to go for the buffet but I was very disappointed: they have a very limited selection, the scrambled eggs and chilaquiles were dry. Also, it was infested with flys near the buffet area. My Father and I ate there for the very first time and we're VERY content from the moment we walked in and throughout our visit. You are greeted and welcomed which is greatly appreciated especially when my Father uses a walker for assistance. We were seated right away, our order was taken within 5minutes. The waitress was people friendly and ran the show at a busy time. Our Food (Huevo Rancheros ) was ready within 15minutes. Great Specials! The Food was Authentic and at a good temperature. Horrible customer service from Connie!!! On the other hand, waitress Irasema was great and tried very hard to make up for our previous waitress (Connie).. Story: I arrived to eat breakfast with my friends. I asked for Enchiladas Verdes Montadas. I didn't want beans, Connie was unable to replace the beans for another side. Did not offer a side for an up-charge. Did not offer any options other than salad which the plate came with... I had the enchilada plate anyway without onion as I'm severely allergic.. plate comes back, food taste great, however, Huge pieces of onion!! My friend called the waitress over and she took the plate. Did not apologize but was quick to blame the cook. She takes the plate, after 10 minutes of waiting, we ask her if the salsa comes with the onion, she said yes. I asked what she was bringing?... She said "I don't know, do you want pancakes?" Wtf was she gonna bring me before I asked? We talked to the manager. He offers Chile relleno without salsa. I didn't want that so I asked for oatmeal and toast. Another 10 minutes later, Connie brings the oatmeal. I ask what size it is? She says "I don't know, that's what the guy told me to bring you" and walks away.. I have been to this resturant twice for lunch. Both times I enjoyed it the first time I got the tortilla soup with chicken added the broth was so good the only suggestion would be make the tortilla strips a little smaller. The soup had delicious flavor. The second time I went I got Comida Corrida Tacos Al Pastor with a small tortilla soup and fruit cocktail. The tacos were greasy but still had good flavor my ony complaint would be the fruit cocktail it was obviously out of a jar, can etc. No thought put into it. I mean if I'm paying for it you could at least make it. Over all I would return to this resturant the overall flavors of the food was good. Service wasn't bad either. read more

We randomly tried this place about a month ago and have since been back 4 times. The breakfast special during the weak is unbeatable - pancakes, bacon and eggs for $2.99. I always add a side of hash browns for the table because on these days it feels like I'm ballin. The pancakes taste like cake. I didn't love the buffet but I was full when I was finished. We love to go to this restaurant. Our all time favorite is their delicious tortilla soup. It is always spicy and hits the spot. Their tacos are also great!! The servers are friendly and quick. I am very disappointed. The service wasn't great, there was very little to choose from. The buffet was very very small. The buffet area is the size of a table. In the pictures they made it seem like it's large, but in reality it is not. The food tasted not so great. I was excited to try this place after reading several reviews saying how great it was. The Green Chili' (salsa) really Good & to hot, just right just like mama, a little bowl of Tortilla soup good (ok) it came with the meal like chips and salsa, I'm the only white dude in here, everyone seems to be locals, and all over this gem... Young and old... The Carnitas was good., beans & rice where good. Yes beans & rice are important. You can't go wrong here I normally don't write about service, but for this place, its on point, super duper friendly, and all over it. Their daily lunch is a real bargain, you get a choice of three soups, a choice of one of three entres, and a small dessert (it varies from day to day as to what it is.) Los Tres does everything right. Food made fresh. None of that canned stuff. Best tacos I've ever had, anywhere. They make their own corn tortillas and they are still hot when they arrive at your table. You also get a cup of free soup when you dine in, and it's very tasty. They also make some of the best homemade guacamole I've tasted. In addition to the free soup, you also get a free basket of chips and salsa. I get the tacos everytime I go, but I imagine that their other food is just as good. There is always a good sized crowd eating whenever I go. I can't help but to go here a couple times a week, usually carry out since I have to work but it's so worth it. read more

1star- they were open. 2 stars- the service was good. The food- not so much. The chicken in the enchiladas had no flavor, no spices, no sauce, no onions, no chile. Best in El Paso! On two consecutivve weekends, my wife and I enjoyed splendid and well cooked meals, with the entire bill, including tax, coming to less than $20.00. The food and atmosphere are unparalleled. You bring your own beer or wine in a cooler, and you save big time. Live mariachi music by the Galleros is performed between 7 and 8 every Friday (as of this writing), and nothing could be more romantic or exciting. The service and courtesy of the wait staff is unequaled. I don't know of any place in El Paso that is better. I've been in El Paso since 1987, and I've never encountered any better restaurant. I didn't know whether to give three or two stars on this review because I have been to this place for many years, even when they were located on Lee Trevino. The food has always been great and up until today the service has also. We sat down at a corner table in the far room and we were greeted by a young lady who took our drink order and brought us our drinks. We were there for the buffet today so we helped ourselves and got started with our meal. The young lady that brought us our drinks never returned to take plates or refill drinks. I had to go find her to get a refill on my tea and when I told her I needed a refill and more napkins, her response was "I'm not your waitress". She went on to deny initially that she even brought us our drinks to begin with. I told her that we weren't blind and that we know that she brought us our drinks , but she insisted that she wasn't our waitress and that someone else was. I told her that nobody had been by the table to check on us the entire time that we had been there. She said she would bring my refill and the napkins and tell the person who was supposed to be our waitress so that she could stop by our table. The person who was supposed to be our waitress never did stop by our table once during our visit. On our way out we told the gentleman at the checkout counter of our experience and while we were there , the girl that brought us our drinks saw that we were talking with the gentleman and came to the counter also with her bad attitude ready for a fight. Continuing to claim that she was not our waitress I simply told the gentleman that oversights happen I understand but her response should not have been what it was but should have been more like what she can do to fix the situation. The gentleman was polite and offered an apology but offered no discount or other compensation for the poor service that they provided, or the bad attitude shown by the young lady. So they get 2 or 3 stars based on this they only deserve 2 but I gave 3 because the food has always been good but I don't believe that I'll be going back anytime soon. read more
