Everything was super tasty highly highly recommend the kimchi pancake. Flavor was spectacular and perfectly crispy/crunchy. The squid entree was very tasty too just a little too many peppers for me. Would get again if I didn't want to try other things. Value is really great for how much food I got. Yes we really over ordered (2 apps 2 entrees for 2 people) but still all the plates were big. Perhaps only downside is that the dining area is pretty small. I would expect them to outgrow their little storefront quickly. I'd come back next time I travel to El Paso. read more

Im in town for a concert and decided to try this Korean place. The place is extremely small. I know this is not their fault but at least when I was there it was packed and people were standing outside, I do think they could have a bigger space at least one with more than just 4 tables. It was a bit uncomfortable with how loud it was and sitting next to strangers not being able to have a comfortable conversation with the person in front of you. The food was really good! I enjoyed the tteokbokki so much and I feel like as simple as this dish is, a lot of places sometimes miss. Again I know it isn't their fault maybe the day I came in it was really busy and maybe it's not that busy usually but I would have liked to be in a bigger space. read more

I've never eaten inside the place cause it's pretty small, but I do pickup orders every so often. This place serves the BEST kimchi stew I've ever had. The stew contains generous portions of pork, kimchi, and tofu. The flavor is immaculate every time and it's very filling. They include rice and various side dishes (they change the side dishes as well, it keeps things from becoming stale). It can take a while for them to prepare it if they're busy, but truly it is worth the wait every single time. The staff is incredibly friendly and prices are comparable to other Korean restaurants I've been to in El Paso. read more

Honestly, I'm Korean and have lived here for 7 years. After initially moving here and being disappointed with all the local Korean places, we gave up. Happened to be in the area and decided to give this place a shot. Was honestly blown away with the food. It's not a super fancy kbbq place you find in a big city, but it was homey, authentic and comfortable. It's also very nice knowing the owners are trying to make healthier options without MSG. Table seating is limited to just know that but I expect this place to expand with the way they are running the business. Great to see this addition in ELP. read more

A very small (7 tables) restaurant. I loved the fact that there were no TVs or loud music. Services was slow but, being so new I overlooked that. My waiter was very friendly and trying his best to get everyone's orders, make sure tables were cleaned up and serving drinks. I truly appreciated his hard work. I ordered the veggie and mushroom stir fry. I arrived with 6 sides. It was amazing. There must have been at least 5 kinds of mushrooms, along with onions and peppers. Delightful! The sides were phenomenal. Kimchi, spicy cucumbers, bean sprouts and three other sides. I neglected to ask what the other sides were but they were all delicious. I wish Garlic 1% much success. For the time being give them an opportunity to get the hang of things and give them a little time to get your order. Once the order gets to the kitchen it comes out quickly. Great food, they have a good sized menu with a variety of options. I do plan on eventually trying everything at least once. The owner is very kind and brought us new sides to try and checked in on us. The atmosphere is great, I'll be taking some friends and family there very soon. My only critique is on the young waiter, I think with a little time and experience he'll do great. He is very personable and polite, Just needs to check on tables a bit faster and get menus, utensils and extra things out in one go to avoid patrons getting up to do that themselves. We'd seen the sign as we drove down George Dieter and we decided we need led to check this restaurant out. We previously had a good Korean restaurant but it closed and the owners moved away. We had the vegetable pancake, the beef and chicken bigogi (?) the food was prepared well and nicely presented. We will be back often to try different things on the menu. Coming from Hawaii finding food that reminds us of home has been difficult to say the least, that is until we went to Garlic 1%! The food was excellent and plentiful, fresh and clean eating. We started with freshly made dumpling (Mandu), which was the best I have ever eaten (we actually had 2 orders). Our main course we chose the family menu items, Beef Bulgogi (G3) and Chicken Teriyaki (G5)​ both of which were grilled at our table. Both portion were large family size and delicious! The assortment of side dishes complimented the meal. The kimchi is a keeper along with the various other sides. For our drink we had the barley tea which was an excellent choice. First time trying this place and let me tell you...I will be back! My cousin and I tried the chicken bulgogi, chicken teriyaki, veggie pancake, fried rice and egg rolls. All were very flavorful and had the right textures. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable, and was able to keep up with the growing lunch crowd. The restaurant is very small, so expect to share a table with strangers. Don't see this as a drawback though. Sharing a space while eating great food is the perfect recipe to making new friends! The wait for our food was longer than expected, but it was well worth it. I recommend you try this place soon! read more

Decided to check it due to all the hype and I was disappointed. Food was flavorful though. Server was not too thrilled to be there considering the lunch rush he mentioned earlier in the day. He disappeared out the back door well over 30 minutes. My husband and I waited and waited for our food, only to be delivered the beef bulgogi by the cook and he didn't bring the white rice. He was busy to even get his attention. About 10 minutes thereafter, I believe the owner showed up and I mentioned that we needed refills on our waters and our rice. He brought it out. As I got the almost the bottom of the rice bowl, to my disappointment, I found a coarse hair which seemed to belong to the cook. He was not wearing a beard guard. We got fresh rice, but by that point, I got a box bc I had somewhat lost my appetite. At some point, I looked at the cook and him and the other lady he was cooking with were chewing up a storm. Hope it was gum and not them tasting the food for all to see. The side dishes, banchan, were not as fresh as I had hoped. Hoping they read this and do better. read more
