We decided to have dinner on a Friday night at Los Tres before going to the movies. We arrived around 7:30 and it was pretty busy, but we were able to be seated right away in a booth. Los Tres is pretty spacious with lots of seating and a very festive atmosphere. Abraham was our awesome server. He brought us water, chips & salsa while we looked over the menu. Walked in and was instantly greeted by a very friendly man. He let me pick where I wanted to sit. I wanted a certain type of meal and He gave me a few options that were similar. I was instantly brought chips and salsa while choosing which item I was going to have. The menu has a lot of options. I was ready and the server to my order. We altered a few things and he was helpful with that. I got the Camarones con crema. I subbed the lettuce and tomato salad instead of the beans. I got to practice mi espanol, which was nice. The food did not take long to make. I got to doom scroll on my phone for a bit and then it was immediately ready. The perfect amount of time before my brain would have started rotting from looking at online junk. Anyhow, the plate was huge! I knew I was going to need a to go box. I have half of it there and brought the rest home. The rice and shrimp was good along with the lettuce and tonato being fresh. I've been here twice now and enjoyed my meal both times. Tons of parking and a huge restaurant so you're unlikely to have to wait. They serve you salsa and chips as soon as you sit down, and our waiter came quickly. We all ordered and our food came out quick. I got the Tacos Camarones - two tacos + rice. The tacos were delicious! Large and the shrimp, slaw, spicy sauce combo was amazing. While I wish mine had also come with refried beans (the steak tacos do), I was satisfied with my meal. $14.99 + tax - a little pricey for only two tacos but overall I'm very happy with the food and experience. First time here at this restaurant in Brier Creek, or any other LTM's in the Raleigh area. It was a good experience. The ambiance was welcoming and despite being early Saturday evening it was beginning to get busy. Our server, Juan P, looked a little overwhelmed at first, but quickly recovered and was extremely attentive throughout the meal. My wife had the chicken tacos Supreme, that were excellent, and I had the quesadilla texacana, a good portion, but the sauce was a little too salty for my taste, not enough though to stop me from eating it! Nevermind, the fried ice cream for dessert took care of that, always a great way to share at the end of a very nice dinner. We will return. read more

DANG when they say covered in cheese sauce they mean covered in cheese sauce. Think of this as the perfect cheat meal. The rice alone was flavorful. My sister ordered the Flautas de Pollo and she also complimented how yummy the food was. We came on a Sunday around 7pm and the restaurant was quite busy for a Sunday. I think our server was trying their best but it took quite a while for us to get drink refills, our food and we had also ordered an appetizer of queso that never came. It was still left on the bill but was later rectified once pointed out. Interior is decent sized for Raleigh. It felt very festive and I loved the amount of booths they have for seating. Found this little gem on Yelp. We were in the neighborhood and very very hungry so we hit up Yelp for a search . Boom ! This place was right around the corner. I chose the T bone steak with beans & rice and the hubs chose the special - fish tacos with rice He said they were fantastic fish tacos ! As a matter of fact he said they were the best he can remember . My steak with grilled onions & tomatoes was simply delicious. Everything was delicious. Pretty good food. There are a lot of options to choose from and they have a large selection for vegans. We went around 3:30ish, it was quiet and they had everything set-up within COVID19 protocol. They didn't have a lot of people, so service was pretty speedy. They did get one part of our order wrong, but quickly fixed it. As a long time Texan, it wouldn't be fair to be too hard on a North Carolina Mexican restaurant. But guys, there's even a Chuy's now in the area, so I know there's some tasty Mexican options here. The place is bustling on an early Friday night, so it's clearly popular. Parking is a bit of a pain, but not impossible. Decor is classic tex mex. Our wait person actually seemed angry to be there. He spent as little time at our table as possible, had no interest in drink refills, just completely off putting. Is it a horrible place to work? Don't know what his problem was, but it rubbed off on everyone he waited on. The menu screams for a Robert Irvine makeover. There are literally 200 items on the dinner menu (I counted), and no I'm not including drinks, kids meals or lunch specials. Granted, that's actually 200 combinations of maybe 8 ingredients, but it does make decisions challenging. The enchilada combo I chose was 4 enchiladas each filled with a different ingredient, swimming in a pool of bland soupy sauce. No flavor and entirely forgettable. read more

This is conveniently around the corner from my apartment, which is great for when I want to grab something nearby that's better than fast food. The service can be slow, at times, and it can be hard to get attention of a waitress or waiter after being there for a certain amount of time. That margaritas can be strong or average, depending on the night and the amount of people. Bar service can be very slow. The steak ala carte tacos with a crunchy shell is one of my favorite items on the menu, and for under $10. It comes with avocado, cheese, and pico. The ACP is good and so is the queso. Me and my family have been coming here for years- it's consistent, tasty, and has very quick service. Today I got the combo #4, the chili con queso, 2 hard beef tacos, and a cheese enchilada. I enjoyed the enchilada the most, I'd say the tacos were my least favorite, the shells were a little stale. Our service was super sweet and joked around with us, overall a great time. Popped into Los Tres Magueyes one night for a light dinner and took a seat at the bar as I often do when eating alone. While the main dining room looked pleasant, the bar was the most depressing I've seen in a long time. The back bar looked like someone's junior high shop project, with dowels keeping the 1.75 liter bottles of liquor in their places (do they REALLY go through that much Jack Daniels Honey?) and curtains in the paint indicating a sloppy, amateur paint job. The rest of the bar was no better: harsh fluorescent lighting fighting with a neon beer sign, a Coca-Cola cooler, a flat-screen TV with figurines of snowy owls as well as pirate owls underneath it, and a model windmill next to it. I'm guess there was an identity crisis somewhere along the way because windmills are Dutch, not Mexican. When the bartender finally noticed me and came over, I asked if I could get a classic Margarita of lime juice, triple sec and tequila. He motioned to two "slushie" machines with their greenish concoctions and said, "It's a mix." Beer, then. For the dinner, the appetizer sampler looked pretty appealing: quesadillas, cheese sticks (deep fried, I presumed) and chicken wings with sides of pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. Before my app could arrive, another server brought me fresh chips (still warm) and salsa. Very tasty nibbles as I waited for the main event. After it arrived, I noticed a lot of wings (a dozen, in fact) and two small slices of quesadilla, but no cheese sticks. Hmmm. I dipped some of my remaining chips in the guacamole and detected almost no spice. More like pureed avocado, which isn't bad but isn't guacamole. The pico de gallo had almost no spice, either. The wings, though, were decently spicy and the star of that one-plate show. When the bartender finally made it back to ask how things were, I pointed out that there were no cheese sticks on the plate. He said, "Yes, but there were more wings." Fine, but that's not what I ordered. if I'd wanted a dozen wings, I'd have gone down the street to Hooters, where at least the scenery would have been better. Couple the so-so Mexican food with sub-par service and a downright depressing atmosphere and I don't think I could recommend this place in good conscience. And as for the bar itself, I think I need to head over to the bar at Ruth's Chris for a glass of wine and a touch of class to shake off the bad vibe. read more

The food is sooo great here. I love how they have so many vegetarian options and they are so flexible to substitute pretty much anything they have in their kitchen. The music is always on point, makes you feel like you want to dance. I got the veggie quesadilla with bell peppers jalepanos and onions, they stuffed the quesadilla with a side of salad and beans. My friend got their poblano pepper which are stuffed with potato, if you never had these, these are a must, just magical. They come with rice and beans. If you're a vegetarian it's a great dish! Love the vibe, love the service which is super fast, food was out by 10 minutes even when the entire restaurant was busy! I'd def recommend since is has something for everyone! read more

He is literally the best and I want him every time I come to town. My sister has come with me and she lives here and comes all the time!!! The cheese dip, guacamole, and salsa were in very small containers, (the size salad dressing would come in). They charged me $3.50 for the cheese dip. $3.90 for the guacamole. They gave me only 1 container of salsa, and 1 bag of chips - for 4 meals... Think about it - how much does a bag of chips and a container of salsa for each meal really cost the restaurant????? Worth loosing customers. I have eaten in and had a wonderful experience, this was my first time ordering online, To Go. I will NEVER make this mistake again. And I will NEVER go back.
