My love for Superperros started with Los Perros many years back, and I have cautiously incorporated Los Verdes as my go-to spot for them. What makes Los Verdes stand out a bit from Los Perros is their service at the establishment. Servers are more attentive and it feels like more of a sit-down restaurant than a fast-casual one. Now when I say "fast food" I am referring to the category of food in which this type of food will fall on because if you come here expecting fast service, especially at night when it's crowded, you will be out of luck. I've been here twice since the reopening, and I've been disappointed each time. One other thing which bothers me, but probably will not bother everyone is the ever present religious messages. This place is fantastic. They have one of the best burgers I ever had. We had a beef burger which was gigantic and a Mazorca desgranada. The burger, fries and sauces are awesome. Patty has a grilled flavor and the fries were really good. Service is also very good and the place is nice and clean. The Mazorca was good but not as good as the one in Barranquilla. This is totally what I'm about. This type of restaurant has all the guilty pleasures. Somehow, don't ask me why, Los verdes has some type of sorcery happening there. First off, the hotdogs are loaded. I went with a traditional perro, they cover that thing in crisps, drizzle of some cilantro, tastes sweet with pineapple, and it's gonna also need a cachapa go along with that. So, if you're like me you may not know what a cachapa is, figure a giant sweet corn arepa, with gooey, melted, white cheese inside, sprinkled with more cheese and a drizzle of sauce. Totally dope, you can add steak if you're about that life. It's also great with just the cheese. Another thing I have tried in the past is the Maicito bowls. They're corn bowls, stuffed with all the goodness. This place certainly does well with the cheese. Portions are generous, and the price is very affordable. Been ordering from here for years, there quesadillas are among my favs. The service is a little slow in the wee hours , (12am -4am) but during normal business hours staff is amazing. I ordered the regular hot dog: bread was not cold and not warm, too many crushed potato chips, the bread is a bit oversized (too much) compared to the size of the hot dog. The hot dog is served with one whole quail egg on top, should be sliced and placed along the entire hot dog. We ordered cheese and beef empanadas: both were way too greasy, but the corn was sweet and the filling was good. My husband ordered the beef quesadilla: the meat was under seasoned and was just ok... I hate to write a negative review because i believe it affects business owners (sometimes they don't know what's going on) but this was just a little to much. Last night my wife and I decided to stop by and get something to eat (around 11:30PM). We were greeted at the door and and they sat us down Almost immediately, good so far. As we viewed the menu we were ready in 2-3 minutes to order our food and drinks, but 10 minutes passed by and nothing but the 2 employees behind the bar were horse playing grabbing each other in a headlock, yes really headlocks, 10 more minutes pass by and still nothing but one of the wrestlers was concentrating on one of the female employee and feeling up on her butt and telling her stuff in her ear, (in front of everyone) So we finally see the guy that sat us down thinking he is going to take our order and he sits down in one the table and starts shooting the shit with the customers (friends) that's when we decided that we had enough and got up and left. Not even a hold on a good bye or nothing. We where regulars here and the food was not always on point but since it's close to our house we will still go . Me and my boyfriend order food from here very often. I have made lots of business for this restaurant. Everytime we order delivery it usually takes 45 min to an hour. Sometimes even longer, but we never complain. Today we ordered some food and not only did they take more than an hour but they brought us the wrong order!! Once we called back to explain, the person who answered said the delivery guy had it in his car. They said he would be right back..... yeah ok, almost an hour later and calling about 3 times asking about my order....the delivery guy shows up and asks for the food back after the person on phone said we could keep it...so disorganized and so much miscommunication.
