Ordered a garden salad and they told me to help myself to the salad bar!

I was staying a a hotel and wanted to eat at one of the local places. Super nice and helpful staff. They appeared to be having a good time while working so that's always a good sign in my book. The pizza was good, sort of the Chicago tavern style. Bottom had some char which is how I like it. I ordered a garden salad and they told me to use the salad bar. Look at my photo, it's was great, everything was fresh. The ambience was that of an old pizza place, which is fine with me. The prices are extremely fair (Low) for the quality of the food making this one of the value plays of the century! 4 star food plus 1 star for the prices! Will stop by whenever I am on a California to Illinois trip.

Called at around 4:30 to have our order ready for 7:30. We were staying at the hot springs park and it soak time was 5-7pm, so I thought I wouldn't be able to place it in a timely matter before they closed at 8pm. The guy in the phone was so nice and helpful. Upon arriving 10 mins early, our pizzas hadn't been started, but that was ok because we were looking forward to hot ones and that's exactly what we got. This place doesn't look like much, but it was very clean. I even saw the two guys working, cleaning all the equipment from top to bottom. Chairs were also already put up and floors were swept. When we got back to our bus lodging (yes... a bus. Check out mystic hot springs), we opened up our pizzas and chowed down. The crust and bottoms were crispy and the flavors were on point. I keep being surprised by these little establishments that, I think, are going to be hole in the walls. The pizza was great and the service and cleanliness was even more spectacular. There was too much pizza for the 4 of us (we were docked on toppings), so we have plenty for breakfast and I'm actually looking forward to seeing how their pizza tastes cold.

Pros: food has good flavor. Cons: crunchy spaghetti and crappy service. We placed our order at 7:15pm, 2 medium pizzas & 2 spaghetti with meatballs. They mentioned they closed at 8pm. No big deal. We are quick eaters. Finally, at 7:59pm they come out with our food in to-go boxes instead of on plates and ask us to leave. What??? We were like seriously? We have nowhere to go (traveling.) They finally gave in letting us eat there inside after suggesting we eat outside (it was still 90 degrees out). Maybe we are just used to southern hospitality, but they need to get it together. On top of all that, random pieces of spaghetti was crunchy like it had been burnt. Pizza was good. Wasn't impressed.

Just as I remembered 10 years ago when eating in Salina, UT. Richfield location is the same. Very tasty everything! I wish I had a bigger stomach. Also wish the closest to me is 60 miles away :'(. But worth the trip! Pizza, cheese stix, & salad bar oh so very yummy .

That is not cheese you're seeing. It's raw dough. Disgusting!!!

The Pizza dough was raw. We ordered over the phone. When my husband went in to get it they were busy; so it took twenty minutes to get the pizza. Inordinately by the time we got back to the hotel we realized it was cooked. One bite and all I tasted was raw dough.

You really cannot go wrong the ice cream tastes fresh & creamy. This spot is the perfect spot to stop if you're on a road trip. There's ample parking, nice/clean bathrooms and tons of outdoor seating. There's even corn hole & grassy area for dogs. We arrived right before closing and the service was quick and efficient getting us our ice cream. Super helpful knowing the flavors all while still being friendly. 10/10 will definitely be back. Just make sure you check the store hours. They close early during the week.

Retail Ridiculous pricing. *PRICE GOUGHING* They offer a fairly large retail gift area of products ranging from bar soap, purses, toys and plush toys and more!. I looked closely at 6-8 itens. I've concluded Mgm't operates the gift shop under a greater fool theory. I say that bc the average retail item was 50-60% higher than online pricing. We thought of grabbing a couple of traditional childrens' b-day gifts but soon discovered they were priced between $35 and $36. higher. I respect a business makes a profit, but when pricing that product to absurdly high %'s they've LOST my trust & respect entirely. Price products with a healthy profit and move more product. I told her it was a first date and I was aiming to make it count. She didn't hide behind policy; she leaned in and helped me anyway. She went the extra mile and noted a table near the fireplace. That kind of touch means something. It's rare to find someone who helps set the stage for your evening before you even walk through the door. Laynee, you made a cowboy believe in smooth first dates again. If the steaks and service inside match the care you showed on that call, Steve's is doing things right... and I just might have a shot at that second date. Thank you.

The steak was not good. It was way too salty. We tried both the steak ends and the strip (I think…read morethey called it the Cowboy steak) and both too salty. The adult plate for the steak ends turned out to be as small as the kid's serving. We ordered "seasoned vegetables" as a side and it turns out that's just heated green beans probably from a can. The fruit side for the kids was also just canned mandarin wedges. The kicker is the entitlement to a 20% tip and the false claim that it was somehow a new mandated minimum, almost alluding or implying that it was a law or regulation. I tipped the 20% because I felt pressured to do so, which I regret. I usually tip 20% if service is good since I had friends and family in the restaurant service industry. But not being given an option and the entitlement mindset is off putting. Building is nice though...
