TLDR: Cafe vibes that are good for if you are planning on hanging out in the cafe, bad if you are trying to get your food and go. The atmosphere was nice, it has the "work on your laptop or catch up with friends" cafe vibe. Somewhere you can hang for several hours and sip and coffee as you work/talk. I don't think I was the target demographic for this cafe sadly. I ordered a BE&C on a bagel. I originally had planned to go to a more "bagel-focused" shop, but they were closed. That's where I feel I was not the target demographic; I was looking to just order a bagel on my morning commute. I should have noticed the atmosphere/vibe of the cafe and realized that this was not going to be fast. It ended up taking over 30 minutes from the time I paid to the time I got my food (genuinely, I looked at the time my credit card was swiped and compared it to the time it was when I got my food). Now, I will say, if I had ordered coffee and brought a book, the wait probably wouldn't have been too much of a bother. The staff was really friendly, and the bathrooms were also very clean! The bagel was not my favorite bagel, but it was on par for a non-bagel-focused coffee shop. It wasn't bad by any means, but I would not order it if you were wanting "real" bagel. Such a cute spot in Uptown. Truly a gorgeous space. The large windows give it so much light. A perfect place for breakfast and teleworking. They have a short breakfast menu but it feels like they cover all the bases. I got the SEC bagel, which was good. I would've loved some kind of seasoning in the sausage though. There was a sauce on the side that paired really well and added some flavor. The raspberry latte was your standard, meaning delicious. They got my coffee and food out relatively quickly. This is a nice quaint coffee shop in the center formerly known as EpiCenter of Charlotte. It's on the first level and is very close to the street next to the valet drop off area. It has lots of beverage options and a limited menu of small meals and pastries. The food was good. My sandwich came out piping hot. That was very welcoming. This is a close knit family run business and this happens to be their second location. The other location was in Kannapolis. In addition to breakfast sandwiches, they have beverages and other items for purchase. They sell "Charlotte" themed merchandise such as sweatshirts, hats and bags. Parking is still tough. You'll likely have to park in the deck. So be careful and pay attention. I saw a homeless man laying on a bench a few shops down and a few sketchy looking people as I got on/off the elevator. Went there today for the first time, they looked unhappy, said the kitchen is closed when it was 3:26, even though they work till 4. they took my order and didn't want to take order from my sister and they saw that we were together. i got *beautiful latte in a dirty cup, and we got avocado toast- just bread and avocado with oil on it (no salt, no spices). I recently got to visit this super cute cafe located in the old Epicentre, now known as Queen City Quarter. I've had my eye on this place for a couple weeks and was super excited work picked it as an afternoon coffee break. The interior is absolutely adorable - cozy and welcoming with plenty of seating. Perfect spot to hang out or work remotely. They even have a retail corner filled with Charlotte branded items. Friendly service and the menu was through a bar code. They didn't just have coffee, but there was tea, hot food, pastries, etc. I went with an oat milk cappuccino with a pump of lavender. It was delicious! This was on my friends list to try so we decided to go for brunch. We didn't realize how busy it would be but I guess it's really popular. When we got there, and it was time to order, I asked for an iced matcha and they said they were out -_- that was disappointing. They were also out of the purr latte so I decided to get an iced latte. The good thing is they have a lot of syrup options especially sugar free and milk options that catered to my keto lifestyle. I got the latte with heavy cream and sf hazelnut syrup. It was a little over $5 but I think it was worth it cuz the "small" was more like a grande size in Starbucks talk lol. I also got the egg bites with a side of turkey sausage and it was so good. The egg bites kind of reminded me of how Starbucks tastes but the sauce they had was amazing and added so much flavor a hint of spice. The turkey sausage was a good added protein as well. Everything together was a perfect little breakfast. I really hope the next time we visit they have the matcha for me to try because it is ceremonial grade according to them and I'd love to try it. There was a waitress/barista named Amarhia and she was so sweet! She brought my friends food and drink and she was so helpful whenever we needed anything. Yes I know the property is called Queen City Quarters now but to me it will always be the Epicenter. Taking a prominent spot facing college street in a spot formerly occupied by Vida Cantina is a charming little cafe called Lottie's. I came in here with a coworker looking for an afternoon pick me up and upon entry we were immediately greeted by the charming and friendly baristas. They asked if it was our first time in and if we work Uptown and when we confirmed that it was and we do, they excitedly provided us with punch cards we can use on subsequent visits to earn free drinks. They were very enthused to answer any questions about the menu and recommend some of their specialty lattes. Feeling some Panthers pride for the first time in a while following the return of Andy Dalton, I decided on the Purr Late, an intriguing blue beverage with delicious vanilla flavors! Even on a Tuesday afternoon there were a decent amount of people in there, a mix of office workers in line to grab a cup, and people hanging out on lap tops.
