The yelp listing was incorrect. This coffee shop is on the second floor on Union Street in downtown Concord and I highly recommend it. There is plenty of room to work and move around and just outside the coffee shop on the second floor, there is an open "common area" with even more space with chairs and couches. On the back wall, there is a large collection of vintage vinyl LP's that are for sale. Since this is part of a recently renovated historic building with 14 varied retail spaces, you should definitely check this place out. read more

This was a cute and quick pop-in coffee stop for me. Crane Coffee is located inside of the District Exchange in Concord. I came here for a quick pick me up before an event and had a great convo with the staffer behind the counter, he was a nice guy! It was quiet in there and seemed like a great place to work or read or meet friends. I ordered a vanilla lavender latte with oat milk, of course. I walked here because I wanted to grab a quick latte after getting my nails done nearby, and I've been wanting to get try this place out! As far as parking, I was already parked in the Whole Foods lot, I'm assuming if you plan to just run in you can pull in front. Service was great! It was two guys working and they were soo helpful! I ended up changing my mind and I got the cold brew with brown sugar syrup and little bit of oat milk. To me the cold brew tasted watered down, and I wish I would've just gotten the latte as originally planned. They syrup flavor was good though and the service was great! read more

This place is extremely underrated. It's tucked away with little signage so it's easy to miss. I've lived in the area for a year and just realized it's across the street from me. I usually go to Starbucks but now I don't have to!! This is some of the best coffee I've ever had. I don't know the ins and outs of coffee or what makes it good but this coffee is noticeably better than every other place I've tried. I love the lavender iced latte and the everything bagel danish. More importantly- the baristas are totally amazing. I love coming in and chatting and feeling like I'm not just a customer but a friend. They know their stuff and make a perfect coffee but I really love the conversation and catching up and the feeling of a truly local place. read more

Coming from LA, I've been struggling to find good coffee but I'm glad I found Crane Coffee Co. This place is a bit hidden so you definitely need to look around for it. Interior is very minimal and cute and they also have outside seating if you want to enjoy the nice weather in Charlotte. Menu is a bit small but what I like is that you can easily customize any drink to the way you like it. I got a Thai iced coffee and I loved it so much! If you've ever had Philz Coffee (very popular in LA) then you know exactly what I'm talking about. I also got a pumpkin muffin and it was delicious. Excellent coffee shop in the old NASCAR building. They only make pour overs, so coffee takes a bit longer; but the quality is excellent. Good amount of food is available. My family recently visited Charlotte and made the delightful discovery of Crane Coffee Company where we enjoyed classic as well as fresh new flavors. (My favorite is the lavender honeycomb latte with heavy cream.) Joe and Claire could not have been more friendly and helpful, sort of felt like visiting with old friends. Crane coffee company recently took over the spot in the Nascar Plaza that was previously inhabited by Coffee Priest. Crane definitely sets themselves apart from other coffee stands with their unique drink menu, featuring items such as Gingerbread Man (704 house coffee blend with cinnamon sugar, clove and nutmeg) and Sparkling Lavender Float (San Pellegrino, homemade lavender simple syrup, Buzz City iced coffee, dollop of cream); however, their drinks, even the "house" coffee come at a steep price. I understand and greatly appreciate their dedication to local sustainability and using high quality ingredients, but charging $3.75 for a small coffee will be a deterrent to many, myself included. Unfortunately, Starbucks and Einstein's (yes, both chains) offer coffee at a cheaper price and allow employees working in the Nascar building to use their "Delish card" for a discount. If you are hungry, their homemade breads do look amazing! read more

Great place to visit! The cafe is walking distance from most hotels in the downtown area. Beautiful cafe and has seating if you want to work or sit for a bit. The lavender honeycomb latte iced was delicious! And the pastry's were tasty, I had a lemon poppyseed muffin. The manager in the cafe that day was awesome and very helpful in selecting my drink and picking beans. I learned the coffee brewed was from a local roaster. Deliciousness!!! We were staying at an Uptown BnB in Charlotte and found this wonderful mom and pop coffee shop inside the Convention Center. Mandy and Chris not only serve great coffee, but Chris' Greek mom, a pastry chef, makes two kinds of homemade puffs filled with either bacon, egg, and gouda or spinach and feta (hello spanakopita). The food couldn't be better and the couple couldn't be nicer. We were there on a Friday and when we told them we wanted to come back the next day, they told us they weren't open on weekends. So we bought a couple of puffs to go and Mandy gave us directions on how to warm them up at home. And oh yes, Crane Coffee is dog friendly with outdoor seating. read more

The San Pellegrino might turn you off because you think of watered down coffee but it gave it a refreshing taste. Man, this spot makes me wish I lived in Charlotte. We visited twice on a recent trip to Charlotte and were blown away both times. The Thai iced coffee was like nothing I've ever had before...full of unexpected spices--completely unique. My husband got the iced coffee with mint the first trip and the lavender coffee the second trip. Both were equally unique, amazing, and totally surprising. I'd never experienced pour over coffee before, and it does take longer than your standard cup, but it's so worth it. These coffees may have been the highlight of our entire trip!
