A great place to get some above average pho and spring rolls! I got the chicken pho and my son the beef pho. Both very good with very tasty broth in each. The spring rolls were huge! 2 per order so 4 was plenty for the 3 of us. My son drank all his strawberry boba milk so I guess it was good. I can't have dairy so no say there. My wife said her drunken noodles were very good as well. Prices are very affordable and the staff are very kind. Suka the owner was kind enough to speak with us a bit about the family ownership of this place for 10 years and going. I can see why with food this good. We went again after some other plans fell through. It was a very hot day and i was looking forward to tom yum. The soup was good! A little sour, some tomato, shrimp, and quail eggs. But it definitely wasn't any tom yum i've ever had or made at home. Husband had the pad thai because it was so good last time i had it. This time it tasted very strongly of bouillon chicken powder, no fish sauce, no sour. Not pad thai. I think people are comfortable with what passes for Thai food here and her authentic flavors got squashed. Under new owners, we were very disappointed. The food wasn't terrible, but the change is not for the better. I had Udon noodles and they were alright; there is some spice in the sauce that I can't identify and I did not find pleasant. Almost a sweet, bullion-type taste. Hubby got the Hawaiian fried rice because they did away with our favorite Pineapple Express (they have chicken, Pineapple, green onion, and soy sauce; I have no idea why they wouldn't just make it for him). His dish was not good. The rice was over cooked, it was way too sweet, and tasted of that unidentified spice. He didn't finish his food which is rare for him. They refused to make us our favorite dish and don't have Coke - there's really no reason for us to go back. Sad. read more

For San Angelo, this place is pretty good. Otherwise, it would really get three stars. To be extremely honest, Donutopia's dishes are better prepared and more flavorful. Although, I am extremely appreciative that Lotus Cafe is nearby as an alternative option when I'm craving noodle soup, noodle salad, and/or tapioca/boba/pearl drinks after Donutopia is closed. I like how San Angelo....SAN ANGELO. Has gone from "What is Pho?" To "Pho...Pho everywhere". I love how they make it when you order it, How fresh the ingredients were, and how clean it was. The eggrolls......oh man! Most times the egg rolls are bulk,frozen, premade and ehhh. These are fresh and awesome. We got the pineapple express, Beef Pho, and of course, the eggrolls. Found this cute little restaurant while at lunch. They weren't very busy on a Thursday afternoon but was surprised just how good their food was. I had the spring rolls and the panang curry and it was sooooo good. It was perfectly spiced. I only wish their spring rolls came with the peanut sauce. Great place for Thai food in San Angelo. I had the drunken noodles, egg rolls, and mango shake with boba. They cook your food in a wok behind the counter. The drunken noodles were so good. Among the best I've had. The egg rolls were super good too. The shake was good. The service was great as well. I was surprised that Thai food was even an option while in San Angelo, let alone a GOOD Thai place lol. While this isn't the only place in town, it is the cheapest option. I've been stuck in San Angelo for a few months and I'm finally getting out but while I've been trapped here Lotus has been one of my favorite places to go to for basic Vietnamese food. Some of the food they have is microwave, egg rolls, but the food they do make in house is pretty good. Pho is average and cheap, what you'd hope for but not super special and the spring rolls are hand rolled and filled with so much. Not the best Asian you'll find but from what I've had in San Angelo it's one of the few worth stopping in. read more

This is the first time I have had the food from here. I chose the chicken avocado salad. The salad was fresh, chicken was cooked just right, and the dressing was really good. I also ordered egg rolls. They were soooo good. My daughter ordered the Pineapple Express and I tried a little of that. It was unexpectedly good. I'm not really a "pineapple in my food" person. I was impressed with the food. The portions I also thought were rather large. No one at our table could eat all of the food that came with our entree order. Our server offered to make hot jasmine tea, when there was none on the menu.
