I was so looking forward to trying this restaurant. I ordered my own personal sushi roll due to food allergies and was the only one that ate it. Within a couple hours once I got home I was violently ill with food poisoning. We called the restaurant the next day and asked to speak to a manager, just to let them know to be mindful and what happened. We were instantly snapped at and told that food poisoning doesn't begin for 48 hours. Anyone that has google or has had food poisoning before, knows it is instant. The fact the manager is so ignorant and not even apologetic is disgraceful. We will never go back and neither will our family and we will defiantly be spreading the word as to how rude this establishment is. read more

Ordered Pork Soba noodles for takeout. Got a pretty standard ramen takeout container that was only about half full. Barely any pork or broth. For the price expect to at least fill the container with broth. Asked the host and a waitress on the way out and they didn't seem to care much. Said it was standard size. Barely filled a tiny bowl. Would recommend Karma Sushi or Sosaba for noodles that are roughly the same price and much more food. First time I went there for dinner (dine in) was a pretty good experience. It's a Bar - yippee If you want a quiet meal, this is not the place for you. From the moment you walk in the door, it is obvious the bar is the central focus of this place... literally. There is nothing inherently wrong with that, especially since we were doing takeaway. When it's all said and done, the quality of the food is the most important part of the experience. Sadly, the food gets low marks. We tried the ramen, which may or not have had a flavor of its own. The food is amazing. I have been repeatedly surprised at the quality of the selections I have had the opportunity to try. The atmosphere and ambience is great, it's a beautiful restaurant overall. This was an excellent start to our short vacation. The gyoza was and a lightness to it, but would be my only improvement point. They could have used a bit more stuffing. The special, surf and turf roll, was outstanding the Kobe beef was tender and the entire toll was amazingly light for the flavor explosion it was. I am a pilot and a foodie, and eat all over the country, and this was the best example of Ramen I have ever had. The ramen was firm, but not crunchy, the broth was dark and time had obviously been taken to produce it. We will Eat here every time we are in town. read more

Pretty good! We had the shrimp tempura which was excellent. We got shrimp fried rice, spicy tuna roll and the beef ramen. Everythingiiwas excellent. Went on Wednesday evening of the overland expo and Happy that it wasn't packed like many other places around because it hasn't been open too long. Awesome atmosphere and great sushi! Staying at the hotel Monte vista connected. Great hotel bar. One of the best. I work at a hotel connected bar in Austin and this place is boss, the ladies are boss. We found this place walking around the area so we decided to check it out. First impression of walking in was that it smelt good and it seemed like a fun place to hang out. We were seated immediately, our server was very friendly as well. We ordered some food and sushi. The Nigiri we received was OK, but the tuna texture was mushy and the wasabi was dry and would not dissolve in the soy sauce. I think the management needs to take a look at their staffing specifically the 2 men in the sushi bar. Despite doing their best, could not keep with the volume of sushi being ordered for such a large restaurant. Would add 2 more stars if the food quality were to match the service and the ambience, Server was awesome and apologetic. read more

For starters, I love the atmosphere! So cute and modern, love the second level seating too! Very attentive and friendly service. A little pricy but I would say worth it. Only thing that didn't give this place a 5 is that my salmon nigiri wasn't the best I've had.. rice was falling apart and salmon was hard to chew threw which worries me because it's not suppose to be chewy. I love this place. The ambience is cool and the food is delicious. My go-tos are the seaweed salad, the crispy brussel sprouts (which are in a really wonderful miso sauce), and the lotus roll. Honestly one of the worst experiences of my life. We get there. No one greeted us. When we arrived there was no hostess. While waiting for about 5 min someone came from the bar and let us know that the wait would be about 10-15 min while there was over 8 tables available. She came back after about 10 min and let us know the wait would actually be about 30-40 min. She left again. A family of about 5 walked in and they were immediately seated.
