It was all bumpy from the first time she tried fixing it by painting over and over it but that didn't fix it you could see the visible bumps. That nail broke within a week and color started peeling off. It's not even 2 weeks yet and my nails are already chipping and color is massively peeling off. I'm used to shellac lasting me 3-4 weeks. This is the least they've ever lasted for me. You could have thought they were just regular manicure no shellac. No attention to detail or professionalism. Didn't like Mimi. Pedicures were great! I wanna sound tough...but if you have an ingrown toe nail...It can be as painful as having your hand nailed accidentally to a fence (don't ask how I know this...long story) and needs some attention before infection sets in. One in my house suffers from the same affliction. Deciding not to pay a Mercedes payment to the foot doctor, the wife highly recommended Nina (YAY NINA) to get the blasted thing removed. I do not know what she put on my feet to numb them. But she had a solid..."chunk" of the nail out before I knew what was happening. No wonder the pain was so daggum unbearable. Anywho...pain relief was virtually instantaneous. I thanked Nina for her services and about to get up to leave and was promptly yet politely told to park my keister meester. She told me "You pay for pedicure...you get pedicure". Probably one of the most diabolical tortures of my 40+ years of callus building on my feet. She might as well have taken a belt sander to them. Nina was happy and talkative and fun. I like that. And I am ticklish on my feet. See previous reviews of mine for my "Don't you dare judge me" clause of my reviews. Having finished grinding (and I literally mean grinding) my feet...I was out of pain...Nina was happy...and you cannot help but smile when Nina does. I personally had to do that twice she only had to do it once. The two girls that were helping us were very sweet girls and it's not their fault that they were not properly trained . Mine even got soap in my eyes TWICE. The massage chair that we were laying in was way too intense and they didn't know how to work it to make it go lower, so I had to turn mine completely off because they couldn't figure it out! My best friend's massage chair would not go above her butt; hers was broken as well. She thinks she's going to have bruises on her butt tomorrow because it was so intense and just in that one spot. We were supposed to have steam on our faces. The lady that was doing my face not only had the steam at too high of a temperature, but it was facing the wrong direction it was actually on my "hair" instead of my face. I only noticed when my head started burning and then when I put my hand up there to feel my hair and it burnt my hand! Thats how bad she was steaming my hair. It was extremely noisy. Every time they would get a small tool, they would clank the sink real hard or they would dig in a basket for things.....every time you thought you were going to relax for just a few minutes you would hear a noise and it would wake you up. Then, when they finally grabbed the tool, they would then work it in the same spot on three different sections of your head no conditioner they're just rubbing on bare scalp. The little combs they had in their hand were not gliding across my scalp. Not to mention the fact that I thought for sure she was gonna get my hair knot it up into that tool. Even right now while typing this, my head feels bruised.. I think Gossip Nail Spa should stick with nails. The head spa treatment is something they honestly should not be offering as a service until they have trained their staff properly. They asked us on the way out how everything was and I told them it was terrible. The manager came over and asked me for details of what we weren't happy with. I went down the entire list. She said she was sorry for the trouble and that she would "take care of it". Well to most people when a manager tells you they'll "take care of it" that usually means that you're either going to get it for free or they're going to give you a nice discount. Neither of those happened in my situation. The manager (who honestly I believe is one of the owners from what I've been told ) was behind the desk talking to the girls and at first they said that I got a 10% discount and then she started talking to them and they changed it to 15% discount. I still gave the two girls a $15 tip each (which had it been better circumstances I would've gladly paid more). I paid a total of $230. At this point I don't even think I will go back there for my nails again.

When I called to express my concern, the girl at the front desk (who unfortunately never seems friendly or welcoming) told me the extra charge was because I chose two powders. My issue isn't the additional charge itself--it's the complete lack of communication. Customers should always be told about extra costs before the service is performed, not surprised when they go to pay. If you're planning to visit this salon, be very careful. Even if you choose a service from their menu, ask if every option the technician suggests will cost extra. Otherwise, you may end up paying much more than you expected. Good customer service starts with honesty and clear communication. Unfortunately, I didn't receive either, and I won't be returning. Sad they have lost a great tipping customer.

Yet when I came back about my pedicure, the rude lady at the front suddenly acted like my number "wasn't in the system" and like she couldn't recall my original visit for the pedicure and dip set I had literally gotten less than 24 hours before. The pedicure itself was horrible. The polish looked bad on every toe, and I came back just hoping they could at least fix the big toes. I was told the wait would be 30-45 minutes and ended up waiting over 2 HOURS just for the tech to attempt painting over the messed up polish instead of actually fixing it. When I questioned it, the tech said the front desk employee instructed her to do it that way. The entire experience was unprofessional and dismissive. And before they try to blame regular polish, I let my toes dry for 30 minutes at the salon and wore flip flops for over an hour afterward. From the pictures, it's obvious this was a bad paint job/layering issue, not something that got messed up after I left. There is no way you'd be able to tell this is a fresh pedicure. Basic customer service and a decent paint job shouldn't be too much to ask for.
