I ordered pickup from Lotus Test Kitchen on GrubHub. It's pretty conveniently located downtown, not too far from my office, so big win. I don't have too much to say in terms of service, since I just grabbed my food to go, but I was pleased that it was ready on time. The interior seemed pretty clean, decent for a casual spot. In terms of food, I thought the Spicy Korean BBQ Beef Bowl and Bao Bao were both solid, but nothing out of this world. The bun itself was a bit denser than I'd prefer. Generally, I'm more so a fan of "authentic" than "fusion," but I can't fault them for that. The bowl felt pretty healthy, so I'd consider ordering it again.

This is the perfect spot for when you're craving both fast casual bowl food and Asian sauce flavors. I got the beef bulgogi bowl and it was a delicious filling portion perfect for a hearty lunch. I ordered delivery on a weekday before noon and my food was prepared quickly and on its way to me within ten minutes. This isn't really a dine-in place, but they've nailed their takeout flow.

The portions were HUGE! I would highly recommend and the servers are super nice. There aren't that many seats inside so be prepared to eat elsewhere, but the food was pretty solid. I love the concept of fast cooked Asian food and prices were affordable for Boston!

Food: 1 bowl is very filling. They make everything to order so you know what you're getting is really fresh. Service: fast. I came during lunch hours and there was a crowd inside. I walked out with my food within 10 minutes which is great. Ambiance: small hole in the wall place. You can eat inside, but i prefer to eat elsewhere. Overall: I'll definitely come back to try the other bowls.

Amazing pork belly bowl and lemongrass chicken bowl. Will certainly return quite often to try all of the dishes on the menu. What a great find in my neighborhood!

Ordered teriyaki tofu bowls and the tofu was rubbery, the noodles were fine, the juxtaposition of Kale with the hot noodles was a little odd. Given many of the prior good reviews this may have been an off night. I hope.

    Beef Bulgogi Bowl

The beef bulgogi bowl is actually very good. My only complaint is for $15.99 the meat to rice/veggie ratio is off. I have basically a whole bowl of veggies and rice left with no meat to go with it.

This was really good food! I honestly can't remember the name of what I ordered however the people working absolutely helped me order something that I'd like! Nice and hot food with a splash of spicy, so delicious! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They also serve boba drinks! 10/10 would recommend & would go again!

We grabbed these bowls before heading on our train back to NYC, and it was lowkey one of the (if not THE) best thing we ate during our trip? Service/ambiance: There were 2 other people in the store with us, so we only waited around 10 minutes for the food to be made after ordering. Considering it seems like they cooked and assembled it on the spot that was nice! It's a lowkey spot with some bar-style seating so I think it'd be great for a quick, casual bite. Food: The bowl with chicken definitely had more meat than the bulgogi bowl - so note that in case you're trying to get the most food! Loved the mix of veggies with rice and meat. It felt like a well balanced meal with a lot of flavor! The portion for the price was definitely good - it made me wish we had similar offerings in NYC (if you know of something similar let me know!!!)

    Plastic bits in my smoothie.

The good: 1) food was tasty and portions are generous with the bowl. Can't go wrong with any of the meats or sauces. The rice, noodles and salad were all great options too. 2) drinks were tasty! I tried the passion fruit, dragon berry, and watermelon smoothie (disclaimer with this one later) The bad: 1) Parking is near impossible around this area, so if you're picking up I would recommend walking or you could try double parking on one side of the street. 2) The Baos only had a few slivers of meat, not worth it - I would get the bowls instead. The buns were fluffy and warm, but not freshly made. 3) my watermelon smoothie had grinded plastic bits. I'm not sure how they got in there but initially I thought they were seeds, so I ate them. But after finishing 75% of my smoothie I spit out the hard pieces and they were in fact plastic. I called and was able to get a refund but plastic in my smoothie... really? They're carcinogenic. Despite the unfortunate things with my order, I will still give them a try. The bowls were good and are a great option for lunch

I like their extensive menu and choice to customize everything! The staff is friendly and the interior is clean and peaceful. They only have a few seats on the side for dine in but they're normally a to go/pick up restaurant. I came for the bao baos, but they were super disappointing. Beef Bulgogi Bowl - 10/10 This was surprisingly amazing! I got the noodles instead of the rice and the noodles is like soy sauce lo mein, super tasty. They cook all the meats on spot for the bowls, the bulgogi was hot and tender when I got it! The noodles were hot and fresh as well! I can taste that the beef was marinated well and it has a nice caramelization on it. Generous portion of meat to vegetables to noodle ratio. Pork Belly Bao Bao - 3/10 Very very bad. I was super underwhelmed! The porkbelly was dry and flavor less, seems like it was cooked beforehand because it wasn't as hot as my bulgogi beef. Super big bun, lots of Romain lettuce flying around and a small piece of pork belly. The sriracha aioli that came on the side was very peppery, not good. Lotus milk green tea - 8/10 Refreshing and a clear green tea taste. Not too sweet, doesn't taste sweet at all actually. The white pearls were perfectly cooked, nice and chewy and not to sweet as well. Standard boba drink, but I'd get boba somewhere else.

We walked into a space with an energetic atmosphere, an open kitchen, a lively dining room, and a contemporary design that makes the restaurant feel both casual and polished. The layout encourages ordering several dishes for the table, and the variety across the menu makes it easy to build a meal that feels different with each visit. The small plates are the biggest draw because they let you try a wide range of flavors without committing to a single entrée. The pork belly buns are one of the signature dishes, featuring tender pork inside soft steamed buns with a balance of sweet and savory flavors. The dan dan noodles are another standout with their rich, spicy sauce, while the Brussels sprouts have developed a strong following thanks to their crispy texture and bold seasoning. We also appreciated that many dishes are available as half portions, making it easier to sample more of the menu without ordering too much food. The menu offers a good balance between familiar favorites and more creative dishes, with each plate feeling thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavor. There are also plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, making it easy for groups with different dietary preferences to find something they enjoy. The service matched the pace of the restaurant during our visit. The staff were attentive, dishes came out steadily as they were ready, and the servers were helpful with recommendations for building a meal around multiple small plates. The restaurant stays busy throughout the evening, so making a reservation is a good idea, especially for dinner or larger groups. Myers+Chang is one of the better places in Boston for creative Asian-inspired small plates. The combination of bold flavors, shareable portions, lively atmosphere, and consistently strong service makes it a restaurant that is easy to return to, especially if you enjoy trying a variety of dishes instead of ordering a traditional entrée.

Will definitely find a reason to come back here soon. ------ FOOD: 1. [MUST TRY] STIR-FRIED CABBAGE W/ PORK BELLY (5/5) Presentation was phenomenal (in a clay pot with its own burner underneath to keep it hot). The portion was much larger than expected, and most importantly, it tasted incredible. Generous amounts of pork in this, and the sauce was authentic and addicting. 2. SCALLION CHICKEN (5/5) Another great choice. This was a huge portion with lots of tender chicken, and the scallion was present without being overpowering. 3. CRISPY BEEF WITH FRIED DOUGH STICKS (5/5) I was expecting Chinese you tiao but these were actually the small, ultra crispy manhua twists! Paired with the beef, this was a large and unique dish that I loved. The crispiness of the mahua made this a textural delight to eat. 4. MANGO SAGO DESSERT (5/5) Big portion, wonderful assortment of toppings including grapefruit, mango, sago, and popping balls over a creamy dessert soup base. 5. PEKING DUCK (4/5) I think I'm a tough critic since I just came back from Beijing and had so much Peking duck there. We ordered the half portion here and it had a generous amount of meat for not being the full portion. There were an assortment of accompaniments, including pineapple (new to me) and sugar (like the Beijing style) which were welcome additions. The wrappers were steamed well and didn't curl up on the edges. Overall this was a solid Peking duck, but the meat wasn't as standout as I was hoping. 6. STEAMED PORK SOUP DUMPLING (4/5) Solid soup dumplings. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely hit the spot. 7. SAUTEED PEA SPROUTS (4/5) Another solid classic. 8. PORK MEATBALL IN CRAB MEAT SAUCE (4/5) This was the most unique thing we ordered. I've never had a shi zi tou meatball with crab meat sauce before. The meatball itself was large (maybe size of a tennis ball), tender, and fatty, as it should be. It was then drowned in a generous lake of traditional crab meat sauce. If you're not a fan of crab meat then this might be a bit too fishy for you, but honestly it all combined surprisingly well and I grew to like this dish more and more with each bite. I wasn't the biggest fan to start, but by the end I wouldn't have minded getting another one! ------ AMBIANCE / ENVIRONMENT: * The interior has the classic Asian style of decor, but you can tell it was recently built / renovated because everything felt new and fresh. * The ambiance also felt more new-school luxurious vs. the typical Asian establishments that are more no-frills with as many tables packed in as possible * You're still somewhat close to the tables around you, but it's not overwhelming during lunch time and we still felt like we had enough space regardless * There's a bar area at the front of the restaurant and then a large, spacious dining room in the back * This is a great place for a date or a meaningful family gathering * Right outside is Boston Common, making this restaurant very well-located for lunch before or after a nice day in the park. While there's lots of parking around the park, a spot itself can be hard to come by, so your best bet might be to use the nearby parking garage instead ------ SERVICE: * Overall the service was great and quick. They did forget our tea, but when we asked for it later they apologized profusely and were quick to bring it out for us * This place fills up quickly so be sure to come early if you don't have a reservation or if you're a big enough group, make a reservation for your desired dining time

It's a dark restaurant so it was hard to read the menu, but otherwise, it's a very cool vibe here and feels very lounge-y. Our server was awesome, he was friendly and explained the restaurant style to us - it's like tapas, you order a few items to share and recommended 2 - 3 items per person would be sufficient. It was only 2 of us and we shared 3 items total, and that was more than enough. We apparently arrived so late that our server informed us that we only had a short time before the kitchen was closing for the night. But the flavor was really good. My favorite was the Brussels sprouts. I loved the char on them and the ginger black honey on it was so good. My only complaint is the little size for the samosa size. For our mains we got the short rib and the white butter chicken. The butter chicken could've used a bit more chicken for the price and was frankly a bit tough. The sauce was great. The short rib was flavorful and packed the perfect punch. Dipping the garlic naan in both sauces was my fav part!! Overall an ok experience. I want to give the restaurant grace because it was very packed but service was poor.
