This spot has such cute vibes! I was a huge fan of the decor inside, it reminds so much of Silverlake Ramen in california, with its pristine design and modern look. The space is calming and rejuvenating as you sit down to a warming bowl of noodles. Not to mention the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment you enter. As for the food, their menu offers an impressive variety of noodle dishes, soups, appetizers, drinks, and desserts that all come together to form a cohesive dining experience. My personal recommendations are their beef rib noodles and lamb skewers, these were the most tender and complex in my opinion, but everything is packed with incredible flavor! Although for the beauty of the dishes themselves I expected a little bit more refinement and elevation of technique, this spot is still very reliable and craveworthy! Nice new location in seaport! The space is clean and well lit and decor was appealing. They have bar counter seats, booth backed tables, and chair tables. Tables aren't huge, you can sort of seat 3 to a table on the booth back style ones. Servers were nice. Food came out fairly quickly. They did take quite a minute to take away our empty dishes but eventually did. The gentlemen who dropped off the entrees, did so and looked at the empty dishes and left them. beef rib chili oil noodles (x2 orders) - I chose this overall i enjoyed it, has a spice note that builds as you eat, but not overpowering. The beef itself was texturally a bit tougher than I expected, but maybe that was my bowl. It was still enjoyable. And the noodle texture was nice. Had a bouncy chew. My bowl of noodles did have the noodles clump up in blocks though. -lamb shank noodle soup- the broth just tasted like salty hot pot broth base, a bit too salty for us. -soup dumplings (x2 orders) the wrap held the soup inside well and didn't rip. The presentation is pretty. I think the typical steamer box with the dumplings inside would suffice, the individual containers for each dumpling wasn't needed just for ease of grabbing them out i mean. Finally got to try Lanner Noodles! Booked a reservation for 3 through Resy & we were able to get a table 20 min early with no issue before our reservation time. We each got our own noodles to try & shared some apps. Here's what we ordered: -beef rib chili oil noodles (x2 orders) -lamb shank noodle soup -soup dumplings (x2 orders) -golden chicken nuggets Drinks: -yuzu sparkling juice -white peach sparkling juice -plum juice -osmanthus fermented rice milk tea My favorite was the beef rib chili oil noodles! Much shorter wait than the one in Cambridge (essentially no wait actually on a Friday night), more spacious, and nice and new. Food came out super quickly but was prepared well. Our waitress was very pleasant as well. Menu is on the smaller side but has a good selection, which I prefer. Decent enough for a lunch as someone who works in seaport but would not go out of my way to dine at this location. They have a decent sized dining room for Seaport but if you don't go right at opening on weekdays expect to wait a good amount since this location is close to so many offices. A lot of the dishes here are dry noodles and the two times I've visited I've received lukewarm food. The noodles are bouncy and have a good texture but that's about all I can say. Nothing stood out. The only thing I've eaten here that I've told others about is their cumin lamb skewer. My husband and I visited Lanner Noodles for lunch. The restaurant is located inside a building complex that is shared with a cafe and other buddy. The entrance is very confusing. You have to enter the main building to enter the restaurant although the restaurant has doors that customers can walk into from the street. Even when we were seated, we would watch multiple customers try to gain access through this door and had to be signed language that it was not an entrance but to come around to the next set of doors. For appetizers, we ordered the lamb skewers and the soup dumplings. The lamb skewers were a bit chewy while the soup dumplings tasted like what we paid for, a little soup and a chewy filling. It didn't come with the ginger vinegar dipping sauce that I am used to, however, there is black vinegar on the table that you can add to the soup. Overall, both appetizers were very underwhelming. For the price, I didn't have high expectations. I ordered the lamb shank noodle soup while my husband ordered the braised beef noodle soup. The hand pulled noodles were delicious as were the soup broth. We can watch the noodles being made fresh. The noodles is not thick and chunky as with most hand pulled noodles restaurants that we have tried. It was thinner. Sadly, the lamb shank meat for my soup was also very tough. I took one bite and gave up and did not touch the meat again. I did however finished the noodles and broth. My husband's meat was a bit more tender. There is hot chili oil on the table so that you can add to make your noodles spicier. My highlight during this visit however was the original roasted milk tea. This was served in a teapot. I would come back to try their other teas and noodles. Service was attentive but felt not experienced. We were not giving plates for the shared appetizers. When I asked for small plates, we were provided bowls which felt silly. Overall, it was a good 3.5 stars experience. This location has potential, but needs work. I've been to the original Cambridge location, but this one is rather diminished. I went for the braised beef noodle soup, and they get a decent grade for 2 out of the 3 elements. The soup and noodles were fine, though the soup was quite spicy. The noodles were bouncy and had pretty good texture. The beef was atrocious. Both the beef from this noodle soup and from the Lanzhou beef noodle soup were dry and cooked to crap. It took a while to chew some of that horrendous offering. I notified the waiter at the end of the meal and she appreciated my feedback. Prior to that, I overheard a couple of waiters talk about other patrons complaining about the beef, so it wasn't me. Service was friendly but in need of refinement. They forgot a few requests my dining partner had made. The space is a bit small, with that combination of modern sleekness with "traditional" Chinese looks. It's fine but expect a wait if you have a large group. The restaurant, which is in the Amazon building, has a bathroom just outside the restaurant, though it was in surprisingly bad shape. It's nice to have some affordable dining options in the Seaport, so I hope this one casts off better in the future. Right now, it's behind Yume Ga Arukara by a country mile. Meh, honestly, which is my usual assessment for restaurants in Seaport. Expectations fell short for this place in particular. Food: 2/5. I went with the tomato egg noodles, as that was one of my favorite childhood dishes. For being the namesake ingredient, the fresh hand-pulled noodles were a disappointment - all clumpy and gummy, a sign of maybe overcrowding in the pot. The dishes do come out crazy fast: not two minutes after the table next to us put in their order, the dishes came out already. I thought wistfully of the Xi'an Famous Foods noodles that I used to eat with abandon. The tomato egg sauce was good but needed some more seasoning. The crispy mushroom bites could have used a longer blot to soak up some of the excess oil. Service: 1/5. The troubles started when my friend got there before I did and they wouldn't seat her until I arrived nor did they take her number down to add to the waitlist (which I've never heard before). Then when I got there, they sat us at a table RIGHT next to someone else even though quite a few other tables for two people were still empty. The finishing touch was when a waitress dropped off the check without a word as she was still eating, with lots of food visibly left in her bowl. No one came by to see how we liked our noodles or if we needed anything else. The vibes were very much "get-in/get-out so we can seat as many tables as possible for the night" but then they shove the option of an 18% gratuity in your face when you sign for the bill. Please, please put up a sign for people to enter through the building lobby rather than tug fruitlessly at the locked doors facing the sidewalk. It's really jarring to be eating your food and look up to find some disgruntled faces wondering why they can't get in. I want to give Lanner the benefit of the doubt because I know they just opened this location and are probably finding their feet but this was one of the most mediocre dining experiences I've had in Boston. The jaded part of me says that this is a trendy spot resting on a spurt in interest from being featured in a bunch of TikTok/IG reels from food influencers but there's very little substance under the hype.
