Called last night because my college teenager and her friend got stuck 5 hours away from home in MO after a hockey game. Her truck was acting up and they said bring it by first thing this morning. Hello... Anyone there? Call their number and press 3 for the parts department. Go ahead and try. You too can sit in queue for 6 minutes and then get sent back to the main phone tree. Press three again... around and round. No one will answer. It's fun! I let my call keep going for nearly 30 minutes while I was on a Zoom meeting. All I got was a chance to listen to their terrible repeating 90s jingle ("Lou Fusz, we are St Louis!"), how important my call is, and that they've "served" St Louis for xx years. This wasn't just once. I called on Friday afternoon at 4pm an hour before parts department closes. I called on the following Monday at 10:30am. Same experience. Don't bother. read more

Ford has issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for 2017-2019 Ford Escape vehicles with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine that were built before April 8, 2019. The bulletin, dated June 9, 2022, covers coolant intrusion into the cylinder bores and offers a one-time, no-cost repair for the 1.5L short block. Reason for providing service states "In some of the affected vehicles the 1.5L EcoBoost engine may exhibit a low coolant level, white exhaust smoke" We paid Lou Fusz ford $195 for a diagnostic test (on 7/12/2024) for this issue as antifreeze is being lost and white smoke is coming out the exhaust pipe at startup. Additionally, 1 year ago we brought the car to Clement ford to test same issue as antifreeze leaked onto driveway. Outside mechanic (Christian Brothers Automotive) ran diagnostics and claimed the car had the recall issue. Clement Ford said nothing wrong with the car and gave us a tune up. This time, Lou Fusz Ford is claiming that all coolant tests passed and no IDs found relevant to recall issue. Lou Fusz is claiming the antifreeze is leaking through the weep hole in the water pump as cause for antifreeze leaking. However, smoke from exhaust at startup says additional diagnosis required. So Lou Fusz ford did not even complete the diagnosis that we paid for. And we have now paid Ford dealerships $390 for diagnostic fees and the car has not even been diagnosed. Additionally, I have spoken with a previous Ford Mechanic (of 20 years) who is saying there has to be an issue with cracked block or head gasket for white smoke to come out exhaust. The mechanic that I spoke with had mentioned he was fixing several of these engines a week due to this issue and it is very common. It seems to us that Ford is trying to get out of fixing an engine that is covered under recall. We will no longer be customer with Ford given the circumstances and service provided. read more

Spent approximately $100K at Lou Fusz a few months ago, buying my wife and one of my kids, new Broncos. Had a positive experience in closing those transactions. As a result, I had my wife take my 2020 F250 Turbo Diesel into the dealership's service shop while I was traveling on business to attend to continuing electrical faults that really should be warranty covered. In any event, the Ford after-market Warranty is sub-standard, but most are and I knew that. Sending the truck to this dealership was horrendous decision as the Service Dept is unethical and absolutely took advantage of my wife and did a classic bait-switch and stacked BS diagnostic charges on top of what was an approved $450 repair, resulting in an approximate $1100 invoice. I explained in detail to Brandon that this was unethical and not explained in detail and authorized - for my trouble, the intentionally inflated bill was knocked down to $900, with one of the diagnostic charges concerning the clock and temp fault remaining faulty in the vehicle after I left. I would strongly recommend no one do any business with this dealership which is unfortunate. Service Depts make more than Sales in most dealerships. They do it at Lou Fusz by manipulating and stacking undisclosed and unauthorized charges. Regardless, I don't want anyone else to go through this ringer - if they employ someone that will engage in this behavior, then the organization should not be trusted with your business in any capacity. I did not expect discounted service, even though I just spent $100k. I went in for my first oil change on 10/27 and everything went smoothly despite the appallingly bad reviews. I had a 9am appointment. I arrived at 8:57 and I was leaving at 10:15. I tried to purchase the truck in the image (attached) Lou Fusz had advertised for $61,923 as displayed on Autotrader. I knew enough about the truck and market to know the truck was what I wanted and the price was fair. I offered the Lou Fusz Salesperson, Abigail, exactly what they were asking and said I will take the truck for the advertised price. Abigail was professional and helpful and said she would have to run it by the manager to see if I 'qualified' for the price. You guessed it! I did not 'qualify' for the advertised price and my price would end up being about $2,000 higher than advertised after the manager at Lou Fusz played their games. I should have walked then, but tried to find some middle ground between what they promoted the vehicle for sale at and what they offered. Management would not budge so I ultimately walked after wasting a couple of hours. Lou Fusz operates like an old-school car dealer with tricks and games and bait and switch pricing. This is not uncommon, but is unfortunate. I purchase many vehicles and have found dealers that sell vehicles for what they promise and advertise with no games. They make it easy and pleasurable! When you find such a dealer, do business with them. Brands like Tesla with incredibly simple on-line purchase processes will end up driving the old style, game playing dealers like Lou Fusz mostly out of the system and hopefully Ford will find better people to represent their brand because Ford is doing some great vehicles these days! Lou Fusz Ford has been a %#*% show from the start. Traded in my Toyota van for an Explorer in 2017 middle of the week. Apparently someone took the van I traded to Florida with my plates still on it. Dealer swore they had the plates inside, had removed immediately and van had not left the lot. State of Florida sent me pictures and toll fines of my traded in van with MY license plates running though two tolls in Destin, FL...was definitely not me. Service department had my Explorer for most of the day Saturday for an oil change and an electrical problem. Within five minutes of picking up vehicle I knew problem wasn't fixed. Returned and left car again...called less than ten minutes after dropping off and service advisor said he might have to order me a new SYNC system. Really? New diagnosis in ten minutes when it didn't show all day? Hard to believe. Voice mail said they tried disconnecting my battery. New part ordered, maybe...I'll have to follow up. I want honesty in a dealership. I am positive my trades vehicle took a trip to Florida with my plates. My plates is just plain wrong. Why couldn't they just say, "an employee took it?" Service has been horrible to contact in the past but wasn't on this visit. Hopefully that's fixed. Still service issues. If looking for a dealership, this is definitely not an honest one to choose. Update...went with daughter to buy a used car. The one she was going to look at supposedly sold an hour before she got here. She saw another car here she wanted and Brandon the salesman was knowledgeable and the sale went well. Later we realized she had 2/4 floor mats and they were not even both from her kind of car...and here is where a good experience went bad. I have bought about 20 new cars in my life, but the blatantly deceptive sales practices used by Lou Fusz Ford Chesterfield rank at the top. I have used Consumer Reports car buying service for quite a few cars and it always works pretty well. We called ahead and spoke with "the new guy" and he had the car waiting for us. We were ready to just buy the car at the Consumer Reports price (and the same price advertised on the Lou Fusz website), similar to True Car pricing. I had a pre-approved loan from Bank of America for 2.69% in hand. So, he goes to the finance manager then comes back to break the news to us that we have to use their financing if we want the $5500 rebate from Ford. I had researched this ahead of time and knew this was not the case. See picture below highlighting their exorbitant interest rate chart.. they are charging 8.45% for 60 months, we have a 848 credit score and 2.69% guaranteed loan from Bank of America!!! Why would we accept a 8.45% interest rate, which would be $8000 in interest as opposed to $2000 interest for the 2.69% loan. In addition, the salesman adds on $698 Fusz Guard Protection without our consent on the form and says " you have to get this". Please look at forms below to back up my claims in this review. We walked out and didn't argue because the way we were treated was so dishonest. I called another dealer to confirm that the rebate was not tied to any loan. Ethnicity?. During my purchase, I was not helped at all from the higher up. Wouldn't even replace cheap and simple plastic pieces and won't even replace the broken key. Who in the world sells someone a vehicle with a broken key... kind of a hazard in a way... the only reason why I went forward with my purchase is because of the good deal that I've been waiting for months on. I responded to a add on Facebook for a truck. I set up an appointment to look at it first thing the next morning. I showed up as a I promised and when I got there they said a person just walked in is looking at the truck and that I can wait or look at something else. This is either a lost leader tactic or this car dealership franchise has no integrity in the their sales tactics. I would not give this company business. If they treat you this way at the beginning then there is no chance you will be treated with respect and integrity throughout the process. Not a great way to do business. This is tue second time I had a bad experience with this company (Lou Fusz network) There are so many choices out there so don't spend your hard earned money and time on this one. Just look up their ratings on yelp. It's not a good sign when there are way more negative ratings than positive. This tells you they do all these shams on purpose as a a sales tactic and do not care what people think. Keep that in mind. Like I mentioned there are way more other dealers out there. You don't have to be treated like a sales number. I have been in sales my whole career and always kept integrity and mentored my teams that way. This review is zero stars. We had a lovely experience with Luke Hardin in sales. He had the car ready to show us, took us for a test drive and then agreed to all of the terms we were asking for. The sales GM, Corey, came over and sat down in Luke's chair and told us is was "his" building and "his prices" and he would not be lowering any prices for us. He also said he could not find an interest rate competitive to others in the area because our 22 year old was a "risk" as a first time buyer, even though we were co signing with her. He said that the bank already assumes she will default, which is an interesting assumption with a cosigner. He said as parents we were irresponsible to not pay the extra 3% to build her credit. Corey also told me I don't know how interest rates work and they are not what I see on the current interest rate charts and that the banks are lying. He told me if we didn't like his terms we could "get out of his building", so we did. That night I sent Luke an email and said as long as Corey worked in the building they will not be getting our business. The next morning Corey found an interest rate for our 22 year year old without a cosigner for the 3% less that we asked for and he also lowered the car on the online listing by the amount we had asked. I have spoken with Nick, the dealership GM, and although apologetic, he took no responsibility for the abuse we encountered from Corey and the terrible experience we had at Lou Fusz Ford. The dealership made no acknowledgment of the way Corey's was allowed to treat us. Corey has no business being in a public-facing role. Please do not let them lie to you and abuse you. There are too many cars out there at dealerships that legitimately deserve to sell a car. read more

Let me say how good God is, so I went to this place because one of the sales reps where able to help my brother get his new 2020 vehicle. So my car's engine was on its last leg and I really needed a new car, I had been to several other places but ended up here. I was skeptical because of the other reviews but decided to give it a try, I was able to find the car I wanted and at the price I was comfortable with, set up my insurance and signed off on everything but when it was time to talk to finance BRYAN ANDERSON caused some confusions. The "wrong" vin number was submitted then the cost kept changing, they kept wanting me to get a car I DID NOT WANT! UNPROFESSIONAL! I used Kelly Blue book to see what the value of my car was and I started receiving daily calls/texts/emails/videos from Collin. I asked politely for him to stop calling and if I wanted to sell it, I would call them. He continually texted and emailed. When I called to let him know he has crossed the line I felt he was harassing me he was confrontational. When I called and spoke to the sales manager, Jeff he also felt what Collin was doing was "just following up". (Updated review further down) Went into to sell my 2019 black mustang gt for 37k, possibly do a trade in. Ended up looking at cars and was going to trade it in for 37k. The salesman, William, went off to get the paper work finalized and when he came back, almost freaking out that it was a buyback car from Ford. Convinced me that it wouldn't sell worth anything and I should get out of that car as soon as possible. So I found something and got pushed to buy it. Selling the mustang for way cheaper than I intended. Caved in and did it. Looking on their site now and I see the same mustang that was "horrible, a lemon car, practically worthless" being sold for almost 40k. The previous place I bought it sold it to me for 33k. So someone is going to get ripped off by this messed up and corrupt business. Not caring about their customers, just the money they see coming in and will do what ever they can to get it. I didn't even want the car they sold me but their honeyed words got to me, sadly. (This is an updated review from the last one I posted about Lou Fusz Ford.) After posting the first review, Lou Fusz Ford replied saying "We appreciate you taking the time to bring this issue to our attention, Eric. We will be passing your message along to management, and we are sorry to hear about your negative experience in our store. We hope to resolve this issue." So since they wanted to try and resolve the issue, I submitted something into their site, giving them my email so they can contact me about the issue. The salesman that I interacted with st the dealership ended up texting my cell phone, asking what exactly the issue was. So I told him straight out what it was, then the General manager, Jason Catlin, apparently took the salesmans cellphone and proceeded to send messages in response to mine. Sending a hefty amount as well. Note, I gave them my email to message. I never wanted them to send me messages to my cell phone. But within the the messages the General manager was sending me, he treated me as if I was an absolute idiot, gaslighted me, put words into my mouth that I never said, insulted one of my friends which is a retired cars salesman, Denied things that were said during my time at the dealership, fought about how there was no reason for me to be upset, and that there was nothing to talk about. I requested multiple times to move these conversations to the email I requested them to message in the first place, but he continued to argue about how there was nothing more to talk about. By the time he agreed to emailing, he gave me his and continued to shut me down within the same message. I was completely dumbfounded on how unprofessional he handled the situation and on top of that, doing it all over one of his salesman cell phone. I've come to the conclusion that Lou Fusz Ford is just a completely dishonest, manipulative, money hungry dealership. With the General Manager acting like this especially during buisness hours, that's a horrible face for the dealership to have. They never wanted to "resolve the issue". Imagine your dealership actively working against you when you select them to buy a vehicle from. I had bought 2 vehicles under the Lou Fusz umbrella and had +12 years worth of service performed on those vehicles (KIA). My experience with their Kia dealership was outstanding, but their Ford Dealership represents the worst a Dealership can be. Not only did the Sales Manager threaten to cancel my Ford Bronco Reservation 11-months into the process, but after waiting 634 Days to take Delivery on a vehicle I reserved in July of 2020, he tried to get me to cancel my Delivery, because in his words, he could mark it up $10K and sell it on the lot and needed to make his money. The Sales Manager, Corey Laneman, actively worked against me, so he could personally benefit on the loan forcibly applied to the vehicle. I was pre-approved with financing to the tune of 2.49%, but he and his sales staff willfully ignored the bank and my communication 3-weeks prior to Delivery so he could threaten a take-it-or-leave-it tactic to force 6.84% Fimancing! That's not even the same Ballpark! When asked, he boasted how everyone buying a vehicle, new or used, from them must do this, regardless is they had a check, cashier's check, cash, or money on-hand to pay for the purchase in that setting. This was "how he made his money," off of commission from the interest (according to him, 1.0% of the interest) and I absolutely could not walk away with my reserved vehicle any other way. I also couldn't apply a Down-payment towards the total. I HAD to finance the whole 53,440 with 6.84% late. Not included in that review is the condescending nature with which he treated me, his intentions to not provide information like a Buyers Order, $2K worth of rebates as described on the Ford Website for Bronco Reservation Holders who ordered prior to March 19th, 2021, and not reaching out almost a full week after delivery to even provide a demonstration of the vehicle's features. Frankly, they couldn't care less about you, your future business, your money, nor their reputation. They only care about how they are getting their money in that moment. read more

I took my Ford F-150 in for a repair estimate as the moon roof wouldn't close. We made an appointment and dropped off the truck. Called the next day and it still wasn't looked at. When we did get the quote they wanted $4,500 to fix the moonroof. I did some research online, bought new tracks for $150 and fixed it myself in under an hour. Price was fair and process was fairly straight forward, they were busy that day, during the summer sales event? (Bought it 6/17/17) Jerry Paul my sales person was awesome, helped walk me through all my discounts and what I was eligible for and get through the initial paperwork. The best part that really wasn't of the sale, was Jerry was kind enough to take time out of his work day, to help me out. After I purchased my car Jerry was kind enough to teach me how to drive my first manual transmission car, a Mustang GT right?! I was lucky enough to catch on in a quick thirty minute lesson and drive it home. He even texted me to make sure I made it home safe. Two stars because they can't follow directions. Please bear with me as I obsess about the service of a mere Ford Focus. My 2003 SVT Focus takes 5W30. I brought it in to Lou Fusz (where it had been purchased) for an oil change, and specifically noted in my instructions that 5W30 full synthetic should be used. When I picked it up, the window sticker showed "5W20 conventional," the correct oil for any other Focus. Now, maybe it wouldn't have made a difference, but there's a reason that the owner's manual bothers to specify a different oil weight. The oil change was free, as it was included in my first year of ownership, so I got them to fix the mistake, and went on my way. Tried again for the next oil change...and the same thing happened. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. It should be noted that dealers were allowed to sell the SVT Focus as a trial program, to see if they could provide the higher level of service that full SVT dealers were supposed to provide. I did not buy my Mache from Lou Fusz but when I needed a charge they were most helpful in showing me basics of hook up and went through many different applications on Ford Pass to increase my usage of this app. Everyone was friendly. Especially Abby who sat in my car with me helping me to set up completion of my Ford app. Please consider them when searching for a new car. Definitely I will in the future. read more
