Delicious pizza, awesome happy hr 3-5:30pm! We happened to arrive during happy hour and what a great experience! We got deep dish and thin crust personal pizzas, meatballs, bruschetta, rumble in the jungle and malnati mule cocktails all for$5 each! What a great meal for a great price!

I have no idea why the little girl on the phone told me that a small was big enough for 2 people. That small was a big as my hand. I'm 150 pounds and i could finish the whole thing. What a joke. Quite lying to people. Seriously so frustrating to wait 25 min when youre hungry just to get a tiny a$$ pizza. Pequod pizza all the way is better. The crust here at Lou's is disgustingly bland.

This was our 3rd time to a Lou Malnattis as it has become our go to when in chicago. The service was super friendly from the moment we walked in.The pizza was delicious and filling as always.

I ordered a personal pizza for take out and it was delicious!! I did the deep dish veggie with pepperoni. There were a ton of toppings on it and the tomato pieces were so juicy. It was cooked perfectly, I was debating requesting it to be cooked extra but I'm glad I didn't.

We travel to Chicago a few times a year. We recently started a search for the best deep dish pizza. We are still looking. Lou Malnati's Pizzeria is the second place we've tried. The first received two stars, so we're moving up. We had a 5 pm reservation on a Monday. The place was pretty empty. The indoor space had a bit of a cool vibe to it. Our waiter was helpful and generally available when needed. We were hungry. We don't always get appetizers, but mozzarella sticks were recommended so why not. The sauce was good, but the mozzarella sticks were nothing special. We ordered The Lou because it was pretty darn close to what we normally order when it comes to deep dish pizza - spinach and mushrooms. The pizza was tasty and I loved the sliced Roma tomatoes on top. The cheese had a nice pull and the flavor was pretty good. It wasn't outstanding. We compare all deep dish pizzas with Zachary's in the East Bay (we lived in Hayward, CA for seven years) and Lou Malnati's left us wanting more. We are heading back to Chicago in June and we'll continue our search for the best deep dish pizza Chicago has to offer.

I provided Malnatis with feedback on the deep dish pizza disappointment from a few weeks ago. They sent me a nice follow up email and indicated a second email would follow to thank me for my feedback. I never received that second email. Nonetheless, we decided to give them another shot tonight. Exact same experience with a ridiculously thick crust and almost no cheese. The crust was overcooked and dry. This pizza just does not qualifies as deep dish. Again, I'm throwing out half a pizza because nobody wants a second piece. To mitigate our risk, we also ordered a thin crust pizza tonight. Unfortunately, that pizza was also overcooked, and the crust was quite hard. At least the Malnati's salad was really good. They sent me an email tonight again asking for feedback on this latest order. I completed the entire form twice, providing detailed feedback and photos, only to have the app fail twice when I tried to submit it. So, Malnatis, after several decades of you being my favorite pizza place I'm sad to say we're done. I've attached a picture of the second deep dish pizza that we received tonight.

My first time in Chicago so of course i had to try some deep dish. I have had Unos at home but the real thing is 10 times better! The personal pan was just enough for me. They lay the sauce on the bottom and the toppings on the top of the cheese. I was so happy enjoying this, i took some to go and even brought it back home to DC to eat.

Went here for lunch with my sons. I had never had deep dish pizza and was worried I wouldn't like it - seemed like too much! What we liked: - very friendly server - The "Lou" was very tasty - not as heavy as I expected with a nice amount of spinach so at least you can convince yourself you're getting some of your veggies in - the butter crust is VERY nice - we also ordered a thin crust pizza with sausage and tomatoes - it was delicious What wasn't perfect: - the ravioli with sauce (maybe a bad idea to order pasta at a pizza place?) - it's a long wait for the deep dish (they do warn you, though)

    Perfect slice

We ordered ahead of time and had the best deep dish in Chicago! The staff was nice and answered our questions over the phone. We didn't eat in the restaurant but ordering online was easy.

Nice environment. The staff was friendly and on task. I just thought the pizza itself was not that great.

Loved how cute it was inside and that they had music but it wasn't loud. FYI the style here is self service; you'll order at the counter and take a number back to your table to wait for your food. They have a paper menu but note that there are some pizzas listed up at the counter that look to be seasonal/rotating. If you're ordering for pickup or ordering ahead, maybe consider calling ahead to make sure you know all of the options. LOVE how they have both single slice or whole pie options. We got truffle fries, the mushroom pizza, and the bbq chicken pizza. FYI the pizzas took ~30 minutes to come out while people ordering by the slice obviously got their food a lot sooner. Next time we'll probably come and just order by the slice. The pizza was DELICIOUS!! It came out hot and with a very CRISPY bottom! The mushroom was my favorite but honestly really liked both. Jimmy's was both generous with toppings while not over saucing the BBQ chicken (which made it both easier to eat and kept it from getting soggy). So glad we decided to try out a new place!! Jimmy's is now in my top 3 favorite pizza spots in Chicago and we'll definitely be back!

The food took about 10-15 minutes, and both items came out to about $45 after tip. The Vodka Chicken Parm Sandwich (8.7/10) was definitely the star. The sesame bread was perfect with a crispy crust, soft interior, and tons of sesame seeds. The creamy, cheesy vodka sauce was the best vodka sauce I've had so far. The chicken got a little soggy from the sauce, but that's expected. The meat-to-bread ratio was great, though I wouldn't complain about a little more chicken. It also wasn't spicy at all. They ran out of sandwiches within 10 minutes of opening (around 10 people ordered). The Pepperoni Pizza (8.5/10) reminded me of L'Industrie with its thin Neapolitan-style crust. The pepperoni and Mike's Hot Honey were the perfect combo. The pepperoni had a nice crisp, the hot honey added sweetness without much heat, and the crust was airy and crispy. The center got a little soggy after sitting for a while, but overall it was still delicious. Overall, it was definitely worth messing up my diet for. I wouldn't wait in a super long line, but if there's little to no wait, it's absolutely worth trying.

Then one day Limoni Belli was sitting outside Hop Butcher and I was super hungry, so I ordered the pepperoni. Holy cow was I impressed! First, the box is super cute and you can tear it apart to make a box lid apron. Second, the pizza comes out looking absolutely immaculate. Third, the taste is perfection! The crust is cooked perfectly and is firm for the style. The cupping pepperoni is a nice touch as well. Other favorites include the panzanella salad, mozzarella sticks, and cannolis. You need to check them out if you see the truck, or you can now order for delivery! They are super nice and are always so pleasant to talk to!

In our most recent visit, we arrived around 6:00 pm on a Tuesday, the patio appeared to be filled already. We were fortunate that the friendly hostess promptly led us to a spacious table. My daughter ordered her favorite drink, an Aperol Spritzer ($12), while I had my favorite refreshing drink, the Peach Tea ($6). We both wanted to order the Pistacchio pizza ($23), which has fior di latte, pistachio cream, sausage, and basil. We had enjoyed it on previous visits, and it had definitely become our favorite pizza at Spacca Napoli! We decided to order one to share. We also ordered the Polpo e fagioli ($20) to share. It features marinated and grilled octopus, white beans, fingerling potatoes, cherry tomatoes, black olives, red onion, chili flakes, and chives, garnished with celery. It also comes with several small pieces of bread with olive oil. The dish came out piping hot. The octopus was tender and flavorful, grilled to perfection with deliciously crispy, charred edges. All the other ingredients were fresh and delicious as well. As always, the service was friendly and efficient, and the relaxed patio ambiance made for another wonderful post-class dinner. We were not big eaters and still had leftovers to take home. We have enjoyed every visit here and are already looking forward to our next one! The service was great, I loved the arugula salad and the bathrooms were really spacious and clean. As for the food, it was good, but definitely not the best pizza I have had. We had the Margherita pizza and the pepperoni pizza. Very thin and light crust for the Margherita pizza and not a lot of cheese. The pepperoni pizza was decent and the pepperoni was a bit spicy. We also had the burrata appetizer and the walnut, pesto and blood orange accompaniment was an interesting twist. We also had the Quattro Formaggi Funghi pinsa, which is a flatbread special they have on Thursdays. It wasn't bad but also nothing stood out about it. We ended with the tiramisu and the chocolate mousse. I felt like they both tasted similar and they were both just fair as far as desserts go.
