Can always count on the classic Lou malnati pizza to just hit the spot when you are craving pizza. We often order for delivery, and it does take some time but we've never had an issue where the pizza doesn't come piping hot. Our go to is always the Malnati classic, and we get it uncut and cut it ourselves because the flavors and crust just taste so much better! Can't go wrong with the Malnati salad and wings either. Ok, let's run it back. It's been a while and things have been much better here. Lou Malnati's, or Lous to those of us who swear by these pies, is for my money the best Chicago deep dish pizza. It's the standard to be met. It's the bar. When I was younger, me and my friend would each order our own large and see who could stomach the most. It was a test of manhood. The nostalgia runs deep for this pizza. On that note, I'm glad to say that this take out only location has been very consistent lately. Perfect pie every time. And they are BUSY most of the time. Staff are always very friendly and my orders have mostly been ready on time, with no more than a 5 minute wait over. I want it hot and fresh anyway so no complaints here. I like The Lou, the extra tomatoes and the spinach garlic mix is so good. Get your pizza Uncut and cut it yourself! Do this and you pie will make it home in one, delicious piece. Absolute worst business ever. We placed an order around 6pm for pizza through their website. Got a call from them about 25 minutes later saying they are cancelling our order due to being out of ingredients. Odd but okay. We place an order elsewhere. Wish this was the end of it but about 30 minutes later I get a message from door dash saying the driver is there to pick up my order . The driver then confirms that my order is canceled (which we knew but felt bad the driver didn't) and I need to contact DoorDash for a refund which is weird bc I didn't order through DoorDash. Tried to call Lou's but after 20 minutes on hold to even get a person I gave up. My order still shows active in my lous account but I assumed they would eventually cancel it and give me a refund. Fast for almost 3 hours later I get another text from another door dash driver saying they are waiting for my order and Lou's is telling them to take it and deliver it. umm absolutely not, they told me they cancelled my order hours ago. .tried to call multiple times and on hold for over an hour. My order still shows active and I still haven't gotten a refund or anyone to answer the phone to get this fixed. I have never dealt with such horrible management. Never will order from them again. Still haven't gotten my money back or anyone to answer the phone. read more

Since March of 1971 with the opening in Lincolnwood, Illinois USA...Lou Malnati's is the only pizza that we eat...that's over 50 years...HOWEVER...what a disappointment with this order for a "Chicago Classic"...this pizza did not pass muster...apparently undercooked as the cheese was not completely melted and so the undercooked butter crust separated from the rest of the pie...also...the top of the pizza was wet...this brings a future consideration of Malnati's Pizza into question...perhaps corporate is not the way to go when quality, rather than profit, is the goal... read more

So so disappointed with Lou's tonight. Been going here for years. We were so excited to enjoy Lou's pizza but they let us down. Placed our pick up order over the phone, was told an hour and 25 minutes. Longer than usual when we've placed orders in the past but we like our Lou's pizza. We got there and were told it would be another 30minutes. Really a medium deep dish takes 2 hours. We cancelled right there and left without a pizza. read more

Visiting from the DC Metro area for my daughter's wedding this weekend. Big pizza lover, have always wanted to try Lou Malnati's as well as a few other big well known places, was excited this was an option this weekend! Ordered delivery online, very easy website to navigate. Just the boyfriend and I staying at our hotel, so just one pizza to order, decided on a large deep dish, regular cook, with jalapenos all over, sausage on one half, pepperoni on the other. Took a little over an hour on a weekend evening, I thought that was very fair considering I make Chicago style deep dish at home and it takes at least 45 minutes to bake in a non commerical oven. Pizza arrived piping hot, uncut per their recommendation, perfectly cooked. Pepperoni is my true love when it comes to pizza toppings, especially when paired with jalapenos, but man, that sausage was the bomb! If we lived here this would *absolutely* be a minimum once a month order. I look forward to my next visit here (alas, probably not for another year) to try them again! read more

Orderd at 6pm on Valentines day, they were overwhelmed completely. Door dash delivery drivers must have been on strike!! If they just told us they were short on drivers we would have picked up our order our selves. Our delivery time went from 8pm to 845 to 910 we cancelled and 20 minutes later a driver shows up after we cancelled!! Lou needs to cancell there agreement with door dash as they don't have enough drivers, fo back to hiring there own drivers were they can control deliveries!! We're regulars and absolutely love this location. Can't beat their customer service, gotta say the manager really goes above and beyond even during madness hours on weekends (Thank you Rob). Ended up trying their new Margherita Pesto deep dish because of their promo price, and we didn't expect it, but it basically turned out to be one of our family's new favorite take-out pizza. Lou Malnati's Pizza has been my favorite pizza since I was a kid living in Chicago when it was a neighborhood pizzeria on Lincoln ave so when I'm in IL and a Lou's is around I stop by. The frozen take and bakes are just not the same and don't have the butter crust so I grab a par baked pizza to take home. This store is what I call one of the outpost stores because there is no dining area and it's take out, delivery or catering, see the menu. The Chicago classic deep dish is one tasty pizza with a butter crust, a thin butter crust with a wall to hold in all the goodness, this is not a thick crust pizza. If you have never had a Chicago classic let me break it down for you, it's an upside down pizza, kind of. You start with the butter crust, add cheese, add sheet of sausage and top it with a tomato purée kind of thing because it's not like a traditional pizza sauce. This combination is the perfect tasty pizza for my tastes and why it's been my favorite. Consistency is spot on from about the 7 locations that I have been to over the years. If you have never had one I would say to try one at least once and you might get hooked like me. Of all the restaurants that started in Chicago back in the day and came to the Milwaukee area as franchises, Lou's is the one I wish would but it never happened. read more

We live in Wisconsin but this location is only 15 miles away! We have always dined at Lous and missed it when we first moved here. A great carry out location that we always have fantastic service and food from. Our last order was ready three minutes after they opened at 4pm! How can you beat that service. The guy who took my order got the soda order wrong...I ordered a 2 litter and we got a single 20oz bottle...#2. The large mushroom/ sausage pizza was overdone/burnt..I didn't mention anything when I opened it but my husband commented about it. #3. I LOVE fresh mushrooms on a pizza and these you couldn't even taste...odd! #4. I am heartbroken!! Lou's has been a staple favorite of our family for years, going back to high school when Lou opened his first place. This location has been slowly sliding into a VERY mixed bag in recent years and I am very sad to say Father's Day 2022 will likely be the last time we order from this location. We ordered ahead for curbside pickup and arrived at our requested time. There were about 4-5 employees standing around the cashier station and refrigerator cases. Many looked out and uncharacteristically did nothing. After about 5 mins, I called and "Sam" answered the phone and then asked me to spell my name and describe our vehicle as all at the desk looked outside. We were the ONLY vehicle in the entire lot! I did describe the vehicle and saw the eruption of laughter inside the building. By the time someone finally brought out our order we were just wanting to be out of there. We made the mistake of not checking our order. This order included one thin crust pizza that was cut tavern style but was cold, made us wonder if it was an order not picked up from the night before. The other pizzas were draining out of the boxes like I've never seen before now, as we ordered our pizza well done and cut. To our shock NONE of the pizzas was cut and STILL there was a pool of a mess to clean in our car. Very disappointed. Our side orders were okay, though the bruschetta was quite coarse with clumps of torn basil pieces on top with stems still attached, which sounds picky but this is decidedly NOT the Lou's we've loved for decades. If you're wondering if we called in a complaint, we did not. Why? Because of the last 5 times we've ordered from this location, I've had to call FOUR times. I have a stack of vouchers for items that were missing or not made as ordered. We had a call in last year when one of our guests had a slice of pizza with two chunks of wood in the crust!! The response? "Oh, sorry. Did you want a voucher or something?" Really??? I am devastated for the Malnati family that this is what has become of their father's legacy since being managed by an investment firm. I can't even recommend Lou's any longer after this last visit. An additional note: If you can order online from the website, do so. The app is really finicky and loses your order if you dare leave it idle too long (1 min). Food from this location is really a mixed bag - stick to the pizza and you should be fine, but the lemon pepper boneless wings were SERIOUSLY disappointing . The "large" order of lemon pepper boneless wings ($17!!) was a meager amount of food (pictured) and was sitting in a puddle of grease. I have ordered this from other locations and it never looked like this. The Caesar salad no longer seems to include croutons - so you get lettuce and grated Parm Romano for $8.
