Great food and service at reasonable prices. Just don't bring anyone that wears hearing aids unless they turn them off. It is noisy!

Only complaint is waiting over an hour to get a seat but I do have to say it was worth it. Food was amazing especially the home fries. Homemade corned beef hash was the best ive had at any diner, ever. Staff was personable and helpful. They worked at a very fast pace but we didn't feel rushed at all. Definitely recommend this diner for breakfast as long as you don't mind waiting. read more

This is the best diner I've ever been to in Massachusetts. The servers are very nice, the parking is convenient, and the food is delicious. The food comes in a large portion, and I wasn't even able to finish my food. Girlfriend and I came down from Boston to grab some breakfast before a Woo Sox game, and Lou Roc's lived up to the hype. Chocolate chip pancakes were solid. Great little.....and I mean little greasy spoon. And I say that with love. My son was in the mood for diner food, so here we be. He had an omelette the size of a throw rug and home fries that were so overflowing I am surprised our waitress did hurt her back lifting that enormous plate of food. I opted for one of the specials, a soup and sandwich. The clam chowder was good. The sandwich was a roast beef melt that was awesome. All in all a great value for our day and glad we went. read more

This was an amazingly delicious breakfast. Stopped here on way to NH. Family didn't want McDonalds or Dunkin. Glad we made this choice. This is one of those hometown diners that everyone loves and people are willing to wait for. I tend to go there with my wife every now and then. When we do go, we always tend to get the same things... Jeffs hash, and my wife gets either stuffed French toast or crepes. These are dishes that are delivered with excellence. The portions are enormous and the prices are good. This is only a cash establishment but they do have an ATM at the entrance for those who never bring money with them. My big tip for this place... First it's totally worth the wait. The service is great, the girls are quick, they have rules like your entire party must be there to be seated, which makes sense.....we were brought here by a friend while visiting the area on vacation but I had already done my research and knew we were in for a treat. First time coming here last week, while there was a line on a Thursday morning for brunch it was worth the 15 minute wait. We sat at the bar area, and it was not too crowded at all. I got a Pastrami Sandwich , the portion was huge so I only ate half of it, it was even better the next day! The service was fantastic, fast, and very friendly. This is def a solid 2.5 star place. I had so much love for Lou rocs back in the day. I really can't imagine why now after going back a few times to catch the nostalgia again I am super disappointed. The quality of the food first off has completely nose dived. As well as whomever is preparing it. The wait is always forever ... even on a freaking Monday morning- like what the hell do these people do with themselves ? I've def seen some rude people get into it with one another more than once waiting for 45 mins trying to cut in line. .. - and it's cash only. The seating arrangement is crowded even with a haphazardly thrown on addition from years ago that afforded them oh just about a half dozen more tables. Mainly breakfast is what we stuck to and after a dismal omelette a couple of times I opened for a turkey club the last time and I have to say of all I tried it was the best- but not memorable, as is most of the food. I really kinda want it to bounce back. I enjoyed coming here very much as a youngster and young adult but even the coffee is meh and THAT my friends is a diner MUST for at least half way decent quality. The nails in the coffin for me: Home fries were greasy and not really cooked all the way through , hash was from a can and I could almost swear it was precooked bacon but can't prove it. read more
