I had an appointment at this practice and arrived on time with all of my paperwork completed and ready. Before I could be seen, I was told that I had to agree to keep my credit card information on file in the practice's system. I was uncomfortable with this requirement and initially declined. The staff then agreed to store a virtual card number instead. I was also asked to sign a financial responsibility form that appeared to authorize charges for any services provided by the practice. I added a note stating that I would not be responsible for services not covered by my insurance without my prior approval. The practice refused to accept the form with that modification. I found it unusual that an in-network medical provider would require patients to store payment information and sign such a broad financial authorization before receiving care. Since we could not reach an agreement, I chose not to sign the form and left without being seen. This policy may not be an issue for everyone, but prospective patients should be aware of these requirements before their appointment. read more

I was referred by Inova Loudoun - not through a personal recommendation. The front desk staff is terrible. Even if he was an amazing doctor, I would still not go there again because of them. Completely useless and rude. My visit was 5 minutes. I waited for an hour. I would feel very uncomfortable with him doing a procedure on my eye. Dr Elbash's staff really needs to learn empathy. I guess it's hard to teach someone in their late teens and twenties empathy because they haven't had much adversity in their lives. That's my guess of the age of his office staff. Leesburg needs another choice in ophthalmologist because although Dr. Elbash is really kind and competent, his staff are not. read more

I went to visit the clinic today with my 81 years old mother who is on wheelchair. I scheduled an appointment for her, and it was confirmed, The receptionist refused to verify if they accept her insurance or not. After I arrived today 15 minutes before time, she took the insurance card and said let me verify and came back with BIG no!! Saying you pay cash $150 or $175 if you pay with credit card, I felt walking into grocery store. She didn't even apologize not having second thought for the woman on wheelchair. Unprofessional, rude office to deal with. I wish no stars to select, they don't deserve a one start rating. read more

I am extremely disappointed in the level of customer service. Extremely long wait and rushed visit with Dr Elbash. The front desk staff is un professional. They had an old HSA card on file for me. Instead of sending me bill for services they used the card that was expired so it was declined. No curtesy phone call to me..instead they send me final letter stating my account is going to collections. read more

Dr. Elbash is one of those professionals who clearly loves what he does and those whom he serves. From the moment I walked into the room he was friendly and engaging and thoughtful with his questions. I felt like he truly listened to me and was empathetic, and yet at the same time his enthusiasm and humor helped me keep things in perspective. I highly recommend him! read more

I am so glad that I didn't listen to the other reviews before I saw Dr. Elbash. He is incredible, very efficient and really knows what he's doing. I find the front staff to be extremely helpful. They answer all my calls immediately and always pass messages on to the doctor promptly. I usually get a call back within 30 min. I would highly recommend this practice. read more

My daughter was referred to this doctor by Inova Loudoun as a result of an eye injury. I will NEVER go again. There is a single Dr. practicing, the waiting room at 4pm on a Friday afternoon was absolute chaos! Far too many patients booked at the same time. We waited well over an hour to be seen. Worst yet was the bill I received after, I was charged $450 for a "comprehensive new patient eye exam," this Dr. spent 5 mins with my daughter, there was no comprehensive exam completed! He looked at her eyes and told her she could put contacts in again after 24 hours. When calling to discuss this $450 charge I was told that I need to pay it or the bill would go to collections! I give Dr. Elbash 4/5 stars - his care is excellent and he's a conservative doctor, which is a good thing. The billing practices (and the office staff), however, are abysmal. Late insurance submital and billing (a whole YEAR later), payments not deposited for a month after sending the check (and even then not recorded against our account, so we get a call that our account is about to go to collections!!). Final straw was a conversation today with the office when the woman would literally talk over me and refuse to admit that the missing payment meant they made any sort of mistake. Our family of 5 has seen Dr. Elbash for years and put up with these types of practices (questionable billing attempts, etc) because we liked him well enough - I think at this point, we're going to a different provider. Too bad, because my wife used to refer patients here. Wish we could let the doctor know directly why we're leaving. If he was any less nice I'd make this one star. read more

I had a tear in my cornea so was referred here by the ER. At the first visit I was seen by the dr for a total of 10 minutes, I told him my vision had gotten blurred and it was hard to see, especially drive. He told me I'd just have to wait and come back in 6 weeks and to use eye drops! 2 weeks later, my vision is still blurry and I'm starting to see double, so I called to make an appt to come in sooner. The person on the phone confirmed I had an appt. I walked in for my appt and the person behind the desk said I was not on the schedule and I "try" to make an appt for later, no apology,no explanation!! Very rude customer service!! read more

Avoid this practice at all costs. They have incredibly dishonest (possibly fraudulent) billing practices and will lie to their patients and insurance companies for a few dollars. Their office manager, Cesar, is argumentative and dishonest. After being challenged regarding a suspicious bill, he changed his story regarding the reason 3 times only to fall back on a diagnosis that was never made, claiming their fees were based on the diagnosis instead of for the service provided. Complete nonsense. I will never go back, and hope anybody considering utilizing this practice will reconsider after reading this and the other reviews. read more

Rude and unhelpful staff. Customer service? I don't think they ever heard about it. Came into the office for my daughter's appointment. Was asked for my drivers license so that they could make a copy of it for their file. I expressed my concern that I do not want them to make a copy since drivers license includes sensitive information which is not needed for the treatment. One of the receptionist rudely told me that my daughter is not going to be seen because that was the office's policy. Cesar (I believe), who as it turned to out to be the manager, confirmed that and when I asked that if I do not have the driver's license the doctor could not see my daughter - he said yes (twice!). What a nonsense! Since when you need to have a drivers' license to have medical treatment??? I asked to see the owner of the business (which was the doctor) and I was told that I will need to speak with him after his next patient. guess what? it didn't happen after the next patient or two patients after. Doctor was not even notified!!! I was sitting in the office with my daughter for good 50 minutes to finally realize that my request was COMPLETELY ignored, they didn't even have an intention to inform doctor that there was an issue in the office. When I finally got to the doctor he was so useless in handling the problem. The whole experience was humiliating, shameful and terrible... This is not the way I want to be treated. Not coming back to this office, will NOT recommend to anyone and am looking for another doctor. read more

Terrible office, rude staff. Cesar and Carla should get new jobs because they don't understand the concept of customer service. The doctor did not seem knowledgable at all. He diagnosed an issue with my eye completely wrong, and after seeing another doctor who did know the issue, I received a collection notice. I never even received an invoice. This office, as with most in the area are just out to make easy money. I would definitely choose a different office if you're looking for quality care. read more

I would like to thank Dr. Elbash and his staff for taking me on a same day appointment. His staff were kindly able to help me with my insurance and copay. Dr. Elbash was able to thoroughly explain to me what glaucoma is and what I need to do for it. I will be following up for testing that is needed. I came in because my daughter had something in her eye. The doctor was referred to me by a physician. He was excellent with my daughter and thorough. I decided to bring in my other daughter and he was great with her too-very patient and good with kids. I felt he was very honest and professional. Had a TERRIBLE WORST experience with this doctor Elbash. Does not even deserve any star. ZERO STAR. But since it is required to give a star I am compelled to give 1 star. Scheduled an yearly routine eye exam here, they checked the insurance and confirmed to me that there is no copay and that the insurance covers it completely. So I was all set for an apt. Now when I go on the scheduled apt day, they asked me to pay the copay. I reminded them that it was all checked by your staff prior to the apt that the routine eye exam is completely covered and that there is no copay but they were adamant on collecting the copay. I even discussed with the doc but he said I have to pay the copay. Finally, I had to give in and pay. Then the doc said that I need to schedule a follow up apt as there is something in the eye that he is not sure about. He can only give prescription at the follow up apt. So now I had to leave without eye glasses prescription. After returning I called the insurance and found out that the doc as indeed coded to the insurance as the routine eye exam which is completely covered without any copay and I should have to not pay any copay. I complained to the insurance about this doc and will be working on getting this highly escalated. Very very unpleasant experience and completely disappointed. read more
