On our first visit, Farida walked her through the procedure and answered all her questions. She was upfront about cost and even checked our insurance to determine what our final cost would be. We met Dr Nasrullah during our initial visit. He was very nice and took his time answering our questions. He explained the procedure and what would happen afterwards. We were glad we got to meet him that day because we felt much better about the procedure and decided to move forward. On the day of the procedure, we met Dr Nasrullah at the Reston Surgical Center. He reviewed the process and procedure again and answered our questions. They collected payment the day of the procedure. Cash or Credit Cards only- no checks accepted. The process was as quick as Dr Nasrullah described. The process itself took about 20 minutes, but with the preparation and post care we were at the center for about 2 hrs. Before the procedure, my aunt's vision was -6 due to the cataract. Now her vision is 20/20! Very happy with the results!

I…read moreneeded an appointment like yesterday .I had been to an eye doctor six weeks ago (very proactive in my care) but something just wasn't right. It turned out that my eyes are in the danger zone for dryness and my plugs in my tear ducts had fallen out after two weeks!! The young lady scheduled me for the next day !! The most professional, warm and kind receptionist . This is the type that you would like to see reception manned. Dr. Simon was great! He understood exactly what I was going through. We have a plan. The medication I needed was way above my Senior Social Security and he was able to get it down to where I can manage. Pretty sad when you have to trade your eyesight for something else!! love this practice have now joined them officially from my previous practice of 30 years. Five star review!

Extremely poor quality service. They required 2 appointments for complete vision testing;…read moreophthalmologist providing peripheral testing was not willing/able to also provide an eyeglass correction Rx at the same visit, so a second appt at a different location was required the following day. They charged an extra $55 fee to complete a 1-page DMV form documenting the examination results. Which DMV initially rejected for being incomplete. When returning to have the form updated, and before leaving their office, we saw the form was again incomplete and in error, so we waited longer for them to fix it. They also charged an additional $$ fee to obtain the eyeglass Rx, even tho we have VSP insurance. Then when their paper eyeglass Rx was taken to Costco to buy glasses, the Costco optician said the paper Rx from Dulles Eye Associates was incomplete. We called to request the complete Rx, but the person answering the phone had to transfer us and we left a voicemail that said they would respond within "48 hours". Then a complete Rx was emailed as requested, but when speaking on the phone with their staff member, they refused to even acknowledge their errors, no apology offered for our inconvenience. When an explanation was solicited, their only explanation given was "Things happen". While the doctor himself seemed nice, appointments were readily available, and they had lots (3+) support staff behind the desk, BUT their attention to detail and office organization (agree with 'chaotic' characterization by other reviewer) was poor. Most importantly, the quality of service provided to us was unsatisfactory.

I've been going to Ashburn Vision Source for several years, and while the doctors themselves are…read morecompetent, thorough, and genuinely good at what they do, the front-of-house experience is consistently disappointing. The front-of-house (front desk and the folks that fit your glasses) are often very young, unprofessional, and not well-informed about eyewear or basic customer service. They struggle to answer questions clearly, offer poor or incorrect advice, and overall seem unsure of how to communicate with patients. For anyone getting glasses for the first time or navigating more complex vision needs, this can quickly become a frustrating and stressful experience. You truly need to do your own research ahead of time and know exactly what you're looking for before you walk in--otherwise you may end up in a nightmare scenario. Scheduling appointments is another challenge. Every phone call feels like an inconvenience to them; the tone is unhelpful, rushed, and sometimes even dismissive. There's often audible sighing or irritation when trying to find an appointment time that works. It's clear they don't want to be there, and unfortunately it shows in the service. The only reason I continue to return is because this is the closest location covered by my insurance. If proximity or insurance coverage isn't an issue for you, I would strongly recommend choosing a different provider. The doctors are excellent, but the overall experience is significantly downgraded by the front desk staff.
