I stopped by this burger joint yesterday for the first time. It was a busy Saturday night for them. I waited in line about 10 minutes only. Meanwhile I was looking at their menu. Their menu is really legible you won't get lost in it. I ordered a regular Cheese Burger and some Chilli Cheese Fries. The burger was good. Soft bun and it doesn't feel just warmed up. It was pretty fresh. Now the downer are the fries. Simple plain fries not even seasoned. You can just taste the oil in them. Make sure y'all grab some salt and pepper for them. The Chilli Cheese Fries were OK. Nothing out of this world. People just hype them up. I've had better Chilli. The dining area was nice and clean even though it was a busy Saturday night. Had to request a fresh order. 2) My burgers meat has to be well done, maybe a lil Extra cooked. 3)Always ordered my burgers extra well done and the burgers would always have some pink. I can not have pink in my meat if I asked for extra well done. No matter how nicely I would ask I would always get it back the same. I gave up on their burgers. Louis Burgers has been my go-to for almost 20 years. I used to drop by weekly with college friends. I now go there bimonthly for my lunch break. My typical orders include chili cheese fries (delicious), zucchini, 1/4 lb hamburger, avocado burger, and their chicken breast salad. The chicken breast salad is absolutely delicious, huge serving, and well worth the price. The carne asada tacos are also delicious but by default they come with all the extras. If you don't like spicy food, let them know ahead of time. The breakfast is also delicious but it's over at 11 am. Drive thru line takes a while but they let you know with a sign, "quality food takes time." They keep the restaurant clean. read more

The pastrami chili's fries are hands down the best and affordable at $9. Mr friends all got burgers and a quesodillia looked good. Anyway, as soon as I found out where I would be working, I yelped what was around me and Louis Burgers came up. It had solid reviews and the chili cheese fries looked to die for. I called up my mom and my little brother telling them that I wanted to show them where I work and also take them out to lunch because I knew they wouldn't come down to the CPT unless sustenance would be provided. I ordered the junior cheeseburger and my mom and I split the chili cheese fries. My brother ordered a cheeseburger and regular fries. It was easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. Perfectly cooked thin patty. My mom and my brother liked theirs too. The chili cheese fries were MASSIVE and really good. Not the best but definitely up there. What I love about this place is that you can customize/alter your burger and ask for ingredients to be added or removed. For example, there's the regular size burger and then there's the junior burger. You can add cheese, avocado, bacon etc. to any burger. My favorite burgers are the bacon cheeseburger and the colossal (SP). The colossal burger has pastrami and a bunch of other things that make it filled with calories ( I don't even want to know how many) but it's sooo good! A great option is to order the colossal as a junior burger. They're totally cool with it here which I love. They use shredded lettuce on their burgers which is different but it's still lettuce. Their thousand island spread stands out when compared to thousand island from other mom and pop burger places. Their burgers are charbroiled. Their chili cheese fries are to die for. If you want cheesy, warm make you feel fuzzy inside and bring a smile to your face fries, this is the place to visit. Their regular fries are great too, I love to have them with their thousand island dressing (learned this from my friend). FYI They charge a quarter or fifty cents (I forget) for each thousand island dressing, but trust me, you will want to try the fries with the dressing. They have orange bangs here which are a the perfect drink for whatever you order here, it compliments the food. I really like their chef salad too. Besides burgers, fries and salads, they have other options too even a breakfast menu. The drive thru... I hardly use the drive thru for a few reasons. 1) Sometimes it's crowded 2) I don't like waiting Sometimes there's only one car in line so if I don't feel like getting out of the car I'll use the drive thru. It's pretty common sense. The card/ATM use... Just bring cash. Enough said. The area... It's in Compton, which is not necessarily bad (I grew up here, so call me bias) but if you're not familiar with the "hood" or freak out easily, I'd say visit this place during the day, order your food and take it home. I've been at Louis at all hours of the day and eaten here and for the most part, I'd say the experience there was good 90% of the time (when I say experience I mean dealing with other diners or people hanging out). I will say, every now and then you'll get a homeless person hanging out by the entrance asking for money or sometimes one standing close to the drive thru window. I add bacon when im in the mood, its good quailty too. Great Chili Cheese Fries. Its the really meaty homemade type of chili, not that bean-pasty type that other Burger stops use. Make sure you order a side of Yellow peppers, go great with the burger. This place has been a family favorite of ours ever since I was a child. It's located across the street from my moms house so we have this delicious gem at a very close distance. You haven't tried chili cheese fries until you've had Louis Burgers chili cheese fries! They are made to perfection. Warm chili and a generous amount of deliciously melted cheese over a generous portion of crispy fries. Mouth watering! You must also try their strawberry milkshake it's amazing. Their drive thru line is almost guaranteed to be long. I usually eat inside or order to go. In my past experiences I've been attended with a welcome and a smile but today I was attended by woman who seemed like she didn't want to be there. That's a huge no-no! But in all the years that I've been here this is the first time I've ever had an experience such was this one so hopefully this will be the first and last time. It's a must visit place.
