The place didn't look like much but it was handy. I was hungry so I went inside in the place was very nice as far as it was clean tidy and loved the look. The food is decently priced and excellent in taste and quality. The waitresses were fantastic! They were friendly just what you want in a waitress. I've been driving with the family since 3am. Stopped in Littleton for Sunday Mass (where we prayed we wouldn't have to eat at Denny's again) and then Yelped this place as the five kids thought they were about to die of hunger. Louis' was the answer to our prayer. It was exactly what we needed. Freshly prepared food, greasy of course, but not too heavy. Good portions; my figure won't suffer. The Louis' Skillet is highly recommended by both me and the spouse. A touch of hot pepper. Yum. My only complaint was the coffee seemed a little weak (but then I had just come from my mother-in-law's, where you eat the coffee with a spoon. Breakfast value that is hard to beat! Great food, great coffee, very friendly staff, & amazing prices. This is, for lack of better words, a "dive" type eatery. Be aware. I pulled up this local diner on Yelp and saw some bad reviews from 2012 and 2013. Mainly things complaining about the service and lack of English speaking servers. We didn't have a single problem with any of the known issues listed. Immediately greeted by a friendly waitress and seated at a table of our choice, I was already happy. This looked like it was going to be my new neighborhood food joint. The menu is pretty large and the waitress was eager with suggestions. I know it was breakfast time, but the fajitas were calling my name. Brian went with the pregnant burrito. That is basically a bean burrito stuffed with chile rellanos. Both were fantastic. The owner/chef is from Mexico and knows how to make some great Mexican food. I already have a list of things that are on my must try list. Not impressed. I ordered 2 over easy eggs, bacon, hash browns and rye toast. The eggs were very over cooked- the yolks were like hard boiled eggs. I was given dry white toast without butter instead of the rye toast i ordered. I've since returned to try this spot again. Moving up from 2 to 4 stars. Great dive type place. Torn booth upholstery, outdated decor, and everything out in the open. Great omelets, AMAZING green chili! I love these places for the laid back atmosphere. Exactly what I needed on this frigid morning! I'd driven by this spot a million times, and decided to stop in today while killing some time before a 9:00am appointment on Main Street. Heading into the restaurant I was hoping for classic diner food, and Louis' didn't disappoint. The inside of the diner was pretty standard, tables in the middle with booths along the perimeter. The only thing they didn't have (that I was hoping for) is counter seating. I picked a booth near the entrance. The place wasn't too busy but was almost full by the time I left. The menu was fairly extensive with a range of selections from standard American breakfast plates to Mexican specialties. I ordered a simple egg & meat platter - but next time I will definitely try out the Mexican fare. If I had listened a little closer I would have recognized the chatter of a Hispanic kitchen crew - and ordered accordingly. The plate of food was fast, well cooked, and just the kind of fare you want from a diner. They even cooked my over-easy eggs correctly (which I have not often found yet here in Denver). Coffee was hot and delicious, and the plate included 5 or 6 slices of bacon (unlike other breakfast spots trying to be fancy). My meal total with tax was just over $7. Definitely worth stopping in if you're in the mood for a classic diner meal. I will be back - and can't wait to try the tamales that another reviewer mentioned!! read more

Exactly what you expect from a diner: cozy environment, friendly and fast service, reasonable prices and great food! I had the Toro Pot, which is basically just a beef and potato burrito smothered in Green Chili. Everything tasted fresh and there was just a little bite to the chili; tasty Spanish rice and refried beans on the side all for under $6! Breakfast is served all day which made my boy happy. I can't eat spicy so I enjoy this little place. It is between 3 and 4 stars for me. The first time I ate there I ordered a steak and the waitress didn't speak english very and got me order wrong. I sent it back and didn't go back for a while but it's close. Different staff not and I love blt's. You get a lot of food for a very low price. The staff is always friendly and helpful to me. Chanced another steak and for $10 it was a good meal. I try to go on off hours when it's not busy. read more

The husband and I decided we wanted to try something new & this place is close to home for us. We read previous reviews on our way there to get a feel for what we may walk into. Let me tell you that we were immediately greeted by welcoming staff and the place was packed! (Which I feel says a good deal). The menu is huge with lots of options; we ordered our food and it came out super quick, and was exactly what we wanted and how we wanted it (I got the tamale breakfast and the husband go the corned-beef hash). The amount of food you get for the price is insane (because it's so cheap). All in all we were there maybe 30 minutes. This place is to the point; great food, great service! To note: If you have a large group of people you will probably have to wait, but they can definitely accommodate it. After driving by for years I finally dropped in. As a longtime resident I always remember this location as a drive up liquor store. But like allot of littleton the old is giving way to the new. Yes it's an older building. I felt it was as clean as any other diner I frequent having reached middle age I have been in ALLOT of them across the country. I had the Mexican skillet and it was very well done. I'm pretty picky about green chili being a local and my wife reins from New Mexico. This green is above average and fresh tasting. The eggs we're cooked perfectly. Everything was really good! I can't wait to try a few of their other Mexican dishes. I have a few friends that have been in many times and always can't wait to come back. Great prices and fresh well made food. Always busy unless you come in between breakfast and lunch. Louis Diner is a great place to grab a hearty breakfast. They are not trying to compete with the snooze's of the world and nothing on the menu is trendy. If you are looking for a large meal that will fill you up and not kill your wallet this is the absolute best place to go. The skillet's, omelet's, and burrito are all very similar as to what ingredients go inside I recommend the omelets as they come with a good portion of chopped potatoes. The green chili isn't hot and I suggest getting any meal here smothered. They make sure to fill your coffee up on time and make a connection with their guest. Go try out louis but don't be expecting Snooze or you will not enjoy yourself, great diner food! read more

My wife and I decided to stop by a few weeks ago for breakfast, not quite sure what to expect, and we were very happy by the outcome! At first glance, the menu offers a nice variety of classic breakfast dishes as well as a few mexican oriented dishes. I decided to go with the breakfast burrito which arrived in a timely fashion served with homemade hasbrowns. The the burrito tasted great, smothered by homemade green chile (you can buy different sizes to bring home!). Between the attentive/friendly staff, really good food, and really great prices, this is easily on of the top breafkast restaurants in Littleton. +1 for locally owned restaurant, good ingredients, great tasting food! read more

My parents go here all the time for a breakfast date, and they've let me tag along a few times when I haven't slept in. The decor's a bit plain and what you'd expect from a local diner, but they often display local artist's paintings, which is a nice touch. The food itself is hearty and taste home-cooked. Louis' has some awesome Mexican food and delicious breakfast food as well. It may look a bit disheveled on the inside but some of the best diners do. It can also get really busy during peak diner hours (weekends in the A.M.) but I have never had them not find us a place to sit. If you are looking for a trendy, hip place to go - look elsewhere.
