Super good! We went with a large group and we all ordered of the senior menu. It's one of the best senior menus of any chain restaurant I know of. There's nothing on it more than $20 on the senior menu and most items are in the $15 range. Here's the huge bonus, it includes the price of the drink...and there are free refills! The portions are perfect and rolls are too! I had the grilled catfish. Loved it. Everyone loved our food and the service was fantastic! Huge shoutout to our server, Shellie. She was terrific and really went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. There aren't as many Black-eyed Pea restaurants around anymore. I don't know why, because they sure do have great food and great service!

I just found this lingering in my drafts from Thanksgiving. I typically fly home for Thanksgiving but this year, I decided to stay in Denver. While searching for a place that serves a Thanksgiving meal, I found a really great deal at Black-eyed Peas. The meal was delicious and included all you can eat rolls, plus a delicious glazed ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, cranberry jelly and dessert. I could've also had turkey but I'm more of a ham eater. I was so surprised at how delicious the meal was. Everything from the service to the food was perfection! This is my new go to spot if I'm ever in Denver for Thanksgiving.

Chicken Fried Steak, mashed potatoes and brown gravy and broccoli rice casserole. Everything tasted good but didn't knock my socks off

The Black Eyed Pea is like a comfortable old friend, not too exciting but typically reliable. I first ate at a Black Eyed Pea over 35 years ago in Tulsa, OK. Fell in love with the Chicken Fried Steak. And while I rarely go here anymore I always order the same thing. I went at lunchtime and the restaurant was semi full. Lots of elderly folks, and while I'm in my 50's, not exactly a spring chicken myself LOL, I was probably the youngest patron there. My server was a nice, friendly younger woman and while sweet, I asked about the wine choices and she obviously didn't have a clue and had to go and ask someone what wine options were available. Kinda baffling as I feel servers should be trained to be able to answer all questions regarding the menu. Started with rolls and cornbread. I grew up down South and we ate cornbread with almost every meal, this wasn't good. Dry and crumbly. Needed to be sweeter too, we always added a little sugar to our cornbread and if done correctly it's almost like cake. This was just wrong. I got my standard Chicken Fried Steak with brown gravy (not a huge fan of cream gravy as if not done right it's too floury), mashed potatoes with brown gravy and broccoli rice casserole. The steak was kinda greasy and the sides were kinda bland. Nothing other than the cornbread was bad, it was just okay. I know that down the road I will return if for no other reason for nostalgia, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Black-eyed Pea is really the top when you think about home cooking and comfort food. I came in wanting the chicken tenders that are fried, super tender, crispy on the outside but fork tender on the inside. I asked our server what she recommended because I didn't want to miss anything.....but she recommended the tenders! So I knew what I was getting. I chose mashed potatoes and green beans. The choices of gravy are kind of fun. I chose a regular turkey gravy and my husband chose the jalapeño white gravy on his chicken fried chicken. He loved the unique gravy. I ordered a fat tire because I am off of work for a week, and a beer in the middle of the day seemed awesome. The beer was on tap, perfectly chilled, and hit the spot with my comfort food. Our server was excellent, and our food cooked perfectly. Black-eyed Pea is the standard to which I hold all comfort food in other places! If they can do it as well as the Pea, they're going to get five stars!

It's just what you would expect - diner style food with huge portions at a great price. Don't go in expecting too much and you won't be disappointed. We've eaten here several times because it was right across the street from our apartment and we've never hated anything we've ordered. I actually enjoy their chicken fried chicken meal and my husband gets along fine with their steak. *Gasp!* Steak at a restaurant like this? No, its no the best you've ever had but it's also not the worst. The menu is extensive and you can surely find something! Service is good and has never been an issue. The restaurant itself needs some updates and a better cleaning staff.

All around the food was enjoyable and the bartender, Lily, was fun to joke with. Prices were about the going average.

The food was delicious!! I did take out so I can't really comment on the restaurant itself. Everyone I dealt with was extremely nice.

We made a reservation and were seated promptly at a large outdoor table offering both sunny and shaded spots. The setting is lovely, a nicely restored historic building with a Victorian vibe in downtown Littleton. We ordered: * Roasted Brussels Sprouts ($10) - sopressata, shaved parmesan, oregano-infused white balsamic * Chicken Salad Sandwich ($17) - toasted whole wheat, grilled chicken, dried cranberries, tomato, apple, walnut * Short Rib Grilled Cheese ($20) - beef short rib, white cheddar, tomato, horseradish sauce, arugula, caramelized onion, sourdough * (2) Black Forbidden Rice Salmon Bowls ($25) - cabbage slaw, cilantro, avocado, pickled red onion, cilantro vinaigrette Plus three cocktails: two Bees Knees and one Manhattan. Service was excellent and the food was very well executed. The shared Brussels sprouts were a hit. The salmon bowls were flavorful and nicely prepared, as was the chicken salad sandwich. The fries were hot, crispy, and tasty. However, the standout was the Short Rib Grilled Cheese. Absolutely fantastic, and definitely what I'll be ordering next time. Tip: Restaurant parking is available in back of the restaurant.

I ordered the lamb and my wife had the short rib. Both were cooked well, served hot, but the risotto and the lamb were a total salt lick. WOW! Just.. WOW!…read more Okay, I know you need a little more to go on than just that. My wife and I happened upon this place after driving around looking for a restaurant and remembering seeing this place whenever we go to Bowles Cafe. It was a pleasant surprise walking in and seeing a nicer interior than the metal building might suggest. I had anticipated a bar, with hamburgers and ribs and a seat-yourself at picnic tables kind of atmosphere. But we were seated by a hostess and picked a hightop in the main seating area. Looking at the menu, there was a great variety in choices. Comfort food, burgers, ribs and Italian. I opted for the chicken parmesan and my wife took a chance on the ribs. After the first bite we could tell it wasn't going to be bar food. My chicken breast was as big as a large hand with fingers spread. The meal portions are generous. I finished a third of my meal and took the rest to go. My wife's ribs were a half-slab that looked like a full-slab. Now, my wife is picky when it comes to food because she's a great cook and knows the potential food has for tasting good. She started raving about the ribs at the table and continued to sing their praises on our drive home. I've never heard such a reaction from her after visiting a restaurant. After we finished what we wanted and boxed the rest, we ordered the carrot cake. It was bakery fresh and heavenly! My first impression of this place is it has an identiy crisis. From the outside it looks like a beer and rib joint, Inside it feels like a welcoming, casual brewery but with a fully stocked bar. It has covered and open outside seating from the front and along the side. (There's a cozy area at the end of that outside seating that I eyed for next time we visit.) And when you start enjoying the food it seems like you've landed in a fine dining establishment. Whatever you are looking for in a restaraunt, other than white table cloths and stuffiness, you'll find it at Bruno's. And if you leave hungry, it's your own darn fault.

They had $15/hr for unlimited play as of this writing and our party of four certainly got our money's worth. It wasn't crowded at all on a Monday at 1pm (unsurprisingly) and we kind of took over the place. An older gentleman was working the whole place, and he made some surprisingly good cocktails for what is basically an arcade. It's not huge, but a decent size, with two floors. A few machines on the first floor was off limits for unlimited play, but everything else was fair game. Our favorites were the South Park (natch) and Iron Maiden machines, along with an oddball non-pinball machine called Ice Cold Beer which was simple but quite challenging. A great place for flippin' and sippin', as their sign says.
