Beautiful store, beautiful products and the most tastefully decorated store front. In the days of cheapening things I believe Coach didn't jump on the bandwagon. I can think of countless brands that have gone downhill the past 10 or 20 years - the quality here seems to be consistent. Buy a fancy purse for your loved one - she will love it. Maybe a little keychain. I tend to come to places like this to buy smaller light weight gifts to ship right before Christmas. That is how I found myself here. I loved the store front. Beautiful and Martha Stweard would approve. Young generation is moving toward a love for good old Martha. She is cool like Snoop Dog. Love the store. The employees are so nice and friendly, they let you look around without following you like other stores. They don't have a huge selection and I wish they carried just a few more bags but the location is tiny! Wish there was a closer Coach to me but I'm happy with the service. A sales associate at Stuart Weitzman suggested that Coach has the best leather cleaner on the market. So to Coach I went.... Daisy warmly greeted me at the door and asked if I needed assistance. She guided me to the leather cleaner and moisturizer which I wanted to purchase. She was so nice and even gave me the "kit" that included a large soft cloth for use. The cleaner worked wonders on my Longchamp work bag that I have started using again as part of my post-COVID world of normality. (During the pandemic I have been using a Patagonia backpack with outside pockets for alcohol sanitizer and hands free carrying.) Unfortunately my sunblock left white patches all over my bag. I also used it to clean and condition a Vince lamb leather jacket. The end results speak for themselves. Thanks Daisy for being so helpful and nice. PS. Leather is an animal's skin. I took my bag in for repair as I had it for just under a year and the leather loop where the strap connects tore. I called ahead to ask how long the procedure would take as I was a bit pressed for time. I spoke to Rebekah and advised I had the date of purchase and receipt. She said that she would try to expedite and get me in and out of the store. Upon sending it out, it could take 4-6 weeks for repair. When I arrived, she started the process but within minutes came back with a new bag for a replacement! I was so delighted! Not only did she remedy the situation sooner than expected, but she did it quickly as well! She got me in and out of there as promised and all with a smile! There were three employees, including the manager, that could tell I was looking for a gift for someone and did not come over to help me at any time. When I finally asked for help from one of the girls about the color of a bag, she gave me extreme attitude for zero reason. She continued to be passive aggressive the whole time. As I was in the middle of a conversation with her to tell her I'm going to a different store, the bald Asian male sales associate rudely interrupted us. When we didn't respond (because, again, we were in the middle of a conversation), he rudely remarked "good conversation, thanks" and rolled his eyes and turned his back on us. I can't imagine being entitled enough to act in such a way when you interrupt a conversation and expect everyone to drop said conversation just to speak with you. I shopped at this location for over 10 years. My all time favorite sales associate has been long gone. These last few times I have gone into this location, they don't have the item in stock. They have had to place my order online for me. It has been fine in the past, but this last purchase has been extremely painful. I gave the lady my driver's license to enter my information & not only was my name spelled incorrect, but my address was listed as "2" (missing 3 digits) & no street address. And my phone # was incorrect by the last digit. The day I expected my delivery, it was no surprise that they could not deliver because of incorrect address nor could they call me since the number was wrong. I called the general number last night to get my address corrected but that was a failure too. I happen to call UPS this morning to double check the changes were made & of course, the answer was no. The 2 tips I have to share is work w/ Alec. I wish I wasn't in a hurry & could wait for him to return from lunch, but I never have trouble when he has had to order product for me. Check your receipt & confirm the information. I assumed that the information was hidden for customer protection, but it was just wrong. As soon as you get the email, track the package. If you have to call customer service, make sure you get an email or check the tracking number in 2 hours. If the change was made correctly, it doesn't take long for UPS to update. I thought I had to wait overnight for an update & UPS said it would be 2-3 days to update, but it only took a couple hours. read more

I went in today (1/5/16) to get a bag tag monogrammed because I went in the day before (1/4/16)to see if they charged to get it monogrammed. Luckily the the guy that was working there said it was free of charge. So when I brought in my bag which had a leather tag attached to it, they asked what I wanted embossed. I said "JLG", which are my initials. He said okay, with out even asking me to write it down just in case. So he tells another girl that works there to go do it. I patiently waited with my friend while it was being done. The guy in charge told me it would take around 10 minutes. At some point the girl he told to go do the monograming on my bag came up to me and asked me if it was "JLJ" that I was going to get embossed on my bag. I said no that it was "JLG". She looked very confused and I offered to write it down on a piece of paper and she said "no!" very quickly and walked away to the back of the store. Moments later the guy in charge tells me that they made the mistake of monograming my bag with the wrong initials. That he should have done it instead of sending the girl because "of her accent, she didn't understand correctly." At that point I got very annoyed because they ended up ruining my according to them "limited edition" bag. They offered to replaced the tag they ruined with a new tag of my choice. I chose a new one that was completely different from the one they ruined and they did it again, correctly. I never got an apology from the girl he sent to do the job the first time and when I asked to get another tag that actually matched the same color of my bag, he told me it was not possible because it was a limited edition bag. My friend at this point was annoyed with all the time we were waiting and backed me up and asked if there was anyway for them to get a hold of corporate to get another bag tag of the same color. The guy said that he would try contacting other stores to see if it was possible. To get another tag of the same color. He asked for my full name and phone number and said that he would follow up with me at some point this week. I really hope he does, because this really ruined my day. I know it isn't a big deal or whatever, but I didn't spend all that money on a bag so it can get accidentally ruined. I just find it really annoying and frustrating how they KNEW it was a LIMITED EDITION bag, yet they didn't really care or bother to be REALLY careful with it at all by asking me to WRITE DOWN my initials on a piece of paper, so there would be no mistakes or misunderstandings. Also the girl that made the mistake should have admitted her mistake and apologized instead of avoiding me after the guy came up to me and told me what had happened. I stopped by this Coach store to help my boyfriend find a present for his mom. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted immediately. When we started to look at the lotions and sprays, one of the sales lady came over and helped us out. We told her what we wanted to get, and she placed the order for us. She told us to wait a few minutes to get complimentary gift wrap, too! We only had to wait about 5 minutes. While we waited, we decided to go to the cashier to pay. The male cashier is really friendly and nice. We chatted with him until the item came out. It was wrapped really fancy in a brown box and a brown bow! Overall, the service here is really good. I have loved coach for a long time.....and here is why. The boy and I were wandering around Stanford shopping center after our massages at Baysix (look them up!!) and we grabbed some lunch and I wanted to go into Louis Vuitton to peak at a trunk they had in the window. Well, not only was I totally ignored but the whole place felt cold and yucky. Made me sad to be treated that way for no good reason. So I walked out and made my way towards coach. I walk in, immediately greeted with smiles and I start peaking around. I came across some earrings that I thought would be perfect for my mother and so It was no question. Snagged them! The sales woman was lovely, we talked about other things they had (my sunglasses that are prescription are also coach) and she showed me a few things but with no pressure. I bought the earrings and headed home. Yesterday, I got a card in the mail, hand written, saying she hoped my mom loved the earrings for her birthday! How sweet is that?!?! Now I know, its part of their job, but this to me, even if part of your job, is amazing service and why I will continue to buy coach products. read more

Okay but I didn't ask lady!!), and I'm sure my face showed her that I was rather annoyed at her boldness; she then continued to prod on about the hold policy and asked for my number (at the same time busting out this "HOLD" sticker). Needless to say, the whole experience was uncomfortable. I won't be going back to this Coach. Actually, I'll just wait for my items to go on sale at the Coach Outlets, and save the money I would have spent at the Coach store and put it towards my Louis Vuitton bag located a couple doors to the left of Coach (next to Armani Exchange I think, or is it Sephora?).. The customer service here is great, really. I bought my husband a wallet here, and had it monogrammed with his initials. The gentleman that assisted me was great, and walked me through all of their different men's products. About a week later, the stitching in the fold part of the wallet started coming undone. I had thrown my receipt away, so I was apprehensive about what their exchange policy was, especially because of the monogram. I called and explained the issue, and was told "No problem, bring it in and we'll exchange it for you." Even after I told them his initials were on the product. We had no issue exchanging it, and the staff was great. I ended up buying a leather handbag and wristlet for additional gifts because they were so nice to us. One year later, his wallet is still in excellent condition, leading me to believe that the first wallet I got him was just a fluke. read more

This is my first time purchasing an item from this Coach store and the experience is great! The sale rep., Paul is awesome! My eyes were on this 70th anniversary bag but wasn't so sure if I want to purchase it. Paul was nice to offer to put the item on hold and would give me a call few days later. I left my phone number and he did call me. I purchase the item through the phone and he even offered to ship the item to my house - that's a great customer service. I was able to pick up the item in the store and it was nicely pack with a gold ribbon as I expected. Last Christmas I fortunate to receive a COACH wallet as a gift. SOFT AS BUTTER! Pink, with Silver trim. LOVE IT! About a month ago, I noticed the stiching start to unravel. Not a good sign, because I know COACH is not cheap. When I left today on my shopping extravaganza, I decided I'd bring the wallet with me and show it to them at COACH. Not expecting anything to become of this, since I did not have a receipt. I showed the saleslady today my wallet. The sales clerks were very nice and told me that it absolutely should not fade like that so they were going to send it to the factory and waive the shipping fee. I like this location. It's bigger than the other locations. We weren't greeted immediately, which I prefer sometimes, and had some time to look for the thing I wanted... which was MENS shoes. This is the only location that carries the mens stuff. I don't know why they wouldn't offer it in San Francisco, but they don't. As soon as I found the pair of shoes I wanted a swift lady came to help me get the size, led me over to a chair, and had the size for me within a couple minutes. She was helping me and another guy trying the same pair, but did not jeopardize attention to either one of us. What a go-getter! I just thought about trying on the shoes and waiting a few days to see if I really wanted it, but her service really led me to walk out the store with a purchase. I would come back for the bags too. Sales people were not friendly nor approachable, they seem to not have the same philosophy of wanting to assist and please the customer through the lifetime of the relationship: I had monograms that were soppily made and not even, consistent or even centre of tag, and kindly requested a redo on a generic tag-- instead, I was responded as an inconvenience, and I got the feeling the sales team is only there to showcase products and make a sale for commission, not service the customer and represent the brand. I'd rate it 0 star if there's one available! Most people had good experience when they shop there, wait till you have to exchange or return something at this store, true customer service shows... I was there this past weekend to exchange a handbag that I bought less than a week ago, the inside of the shoulder strap was rough and it might scratch knit shirt or silk blouse. While I waited for them to bring out another one from the back, a young male staff in his early 20's started 'educate' me by saying "the inside of the strap leather is un-treated to prevent it slips off your shoulder, it won't damage your cloth..." I asked how much other styles bags don't have the same problem, he talked as if he knows leather or he's not just a sales-person but acted as the bag designer. I was a bit ticked-off, but decided not to make a scene to argue with a kid who obviously never been trained with Customer Service 101. When I mentioned that I have a "25% off Customer appreciation" coupon and wondering if I get a price adjustment or this, his attitude became even worse as if i was trying to 'rob' the store. "I'm just gonna tell you straight, we (coach) don't do price adjustments, it's company policy...but I can't tell you not to return the bag or if you choose to buy the same bag again." So much to Coach, a highly recognized brand for years...is that how you talk to customers who spend on average $250-$300 on a handbag? This has left a bad taste in me already, but it wasn't the worst... Later, I took the bag to their cashier and wanted to return it then have my sister to purchase it with the 25% coupon, mind you it was a $280 bag, it coupon would have saved me $70. Just as the girl started processing the transaction, a short guy who work there, wasn't sure he's the store manager but who certainly acted as if he was the person in charge. He came over without greeting and said " the coupon intended for Customer appreciation, wasn't for price adjustment, if you want we will take your name and note it in our system for future reference, so you won't be getting these coupons any more..." ANYONE HEARD OF THIS BEFORE? WAS THAT A THREAT THAT I'LL BE ADDED TO THE 'BLACKLIST' ? Is that what you called '"Customer Appreciation"? At that point, I was officially ticked-off and it was time to make a big scene at the store, I got my money back for the bag, and won't ever go back to this store. If this is how they talk to their customers, I don't care to be their customers at all. Coach makes quality fashion handbags, but their customer service needs a tune-up! Though I had good experience at their Valley Fair store, Stanford shopping center store was the first and worst customer service I ever experienced with any high-end designer stores. If you still like Coach bags, get them from the Valley Fair store or Dept stores... I have no problems with this store. I recently went after taking a trip to LA where I visited the Coach store on Rodeo I believe it was. Those were some pushy people! Trying to convince me to buy a $1200 purse... Maybe it's just me, but no purse is worth $1200 to me. I'd rather spend it on a fancy camera or towards a flat screen HDTV! I saw this super cute star earrings and necklace set for only $98 each. Still I don't like to impulse shop and said I'm going to walk away and see what else the other stores in the area had and if I can't stop thinking about them then it's a match made in heaven (get it, stars are in heaven.) Next day I couldn't stop thinking about the set. So I called the Gilroy Outlets... don't have it... Called Hillsdale... They only carry Gold jewelry (WTF.) So I almost gave up when I decided to drive to Standford for some cupcakes (he he he) when we went in and there they were... sitting so nicely and shining like a star, (get it, they're really star earrings) hehehe ok, ok I'M A DORK. Anyways, my daughter and I were quickly and warmly greeted. I told her what I was in here for and they went to the back to see if they had them in stock. At which point I saw the matching ring they didn't have in LA!!!!!!!!!!!!! Picture a bubble over head as at that very moment I'm saying @#$&^&. Luckily i was interrupted by the sales lady showing me the coach perfume... which BTW smells GREAT! As a matter of fact hold on... Ahhh yes i just sprayed some. I was offered 2 samples of it... I love this store. They always ask me about my dogs even though one of them headbutted a salesperson. The staff is friendly without being overbearing. I feel like I can browse without pressure. Even when you're buying a keyring they wrap it up and make you feel special. I like that I can order items at the store before they come out on the website. There isn't a shipping charge either.
