We were in Palm Desert on a mini vacay, and when searching for a local brunch spot, Yelp brought us to Louise's Pantry located in La Quinta. We visited 4/25 around 11am, and it was still quite busy for a Monday. Like other reviewers mentioned- staff here were friendly and made you feel very welcome. We split the Country Eggs Benedict and the Corned Beef Hash Eggs Benedict. While the flavors of both were good, I was disappointed that the eggs were cooked almost well done. Eggs Benedict is usually prepared, so you get the runny yolk, so I was a bit disappointed with this. Also, there really lacked much corned beef in my dish, which was disappointing too. Finally, i had the country potatoes, which came with chopped bell pepper and onions. However, it was very greasy. Service is 5/5 Food 3.5/5 I will add Louise's to my list of restaurants I may consider when in the area again. read more

Four stars only because it felt like the place was short staffed. The food was delicious. I order the French toast regular because one of the locals recommended it (there is also special stuffed French toast). I am so glad that I did. My partner order the ultimate four eye omelette that too was yummy. The place was very busy, probably because it was Valentine's Day plus the holiday weekend. The photos of old Hollywood add much charm to the place. I would highly recommend if you are in the area to try this place for breakfast. The wait seems long but it goes by very fast. read more

Food was great, I got the country breakfast with a cup of coffee. The coffee was really good, I was impressed. The country breakfast was good too, the biscuits were moist in the middle and crispy on top. The potatoes had a nice crunch to it too. Love the food, the service, the vibes! This is a MUST stop for us anytime we're in town!

Not an easy place to get a seat peak season or any time but finally made the time, it was a fun experience. We sat at counter which was fine. Location: Excellent retail center with lots of parking options yet on busy days, it is packed so you may end up walking a bit. Menu: why so many options and how do they know, you know like how to cook everything? Tons of breakfast and lunch options. Really is an excellent menu. Food Prep: Very nicely done for the kitchen setup they have. Cramped kitchen with a lot happening at all times. You cannot be a rookie to work here. We sat at the counter and it was great entertainment. Food Quality: As good as it gets for a place like this. Nothing fancy, just fair and great quality tastes in everything we enjoyed. Waitstaff: Very nice, but busy. Took a while to get our food but understandable considering how busy they were. This is not fast food. Overall Value: Ok, nothing was inexpensive and some items seemed really expensive, but it was all worth the visit for us. Size of some dishes a large enough to share no doubt. TIP: Choose an early time or tweeter time but don't go 8:00am on a Saturday or be prepared to wait outside for a table of counter space. read more

Quality and service have gone down, but prices have gone up. They have a new menu and along with it every item has increased by at least 50%. I don't know how or why people are agreeing to pay these inflated prices. We're locals and we've stopped going to Louise's because the quality of food doesn't justify the absurd costs. read more

Not to discredit its quality of food but the menu items are what you would typically find in a diner food. Food: Southwest Benedict - the picture does not do it justice - this is a huge servicing. The eggs were beautifully poached and the hollandaise sauce was uniquely delicious. Unlike typical Benedict's, this has a papusa base, which was different. Our second visit here!! Very efficient staff, generous portions and um...free mimosa. Yes, please! We met friends here for a Sunday morning breakfast. There was a wait at 9:00am but it didn't take long. Service was super quick. All staff involved in bringing drinks, table ware, etc. Once we ordered, our food came pretty quickly. I ordered a spinach omelette. Good portions, standard omelette, with option on cheeses. Served with country potatoes or hash browns and your choice of bread. We found this bakery restaurant online. It was described as having a "country atmosphere". It was quite busy and appears to be a local favorite. The menu has lots of interesting choices...a full selection of Benedict's, waffles & chicken, omelets, breakfast burritos and more. I went with the Lox Benedict, which was delicious! A toasted English muffin with smoked salmon topped with Hollandaise sauce and capers. The hash browns were crisp, just the way I like them. My friend had the Chicken and Waffle with spicy maple syrup, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The coffee is ok...not great. Service was slow, but in fairness, it was very busy. My friends and I were staying near by for our iron man race in laquinta. Decided to swing by after seeing great reviews!! Came on a Saturday afternoon (1 hour before they closed), no line and we were seated right away. I ordered the make your own omelet. Made with four eggs and 5 topping of your choice with toast and hash browns!! They did not skimp on the toppings inside of omelet. I wish they seasoned the egg and toppings a little more but that could always be adjusted yourself with some hot sauce/salt/pepper. The hash browns had some nice crispy edges. The jam that came on the side with the toast was great too. Not sure if they make it out get it from else where? (It'd be funny if it was just some regular jam lol). But anyways all my friends enjoyed they're food as well. All the servers greeted us immediately as we walked in and throughout our time there they checked in how we were doing which was awesome. At 11:30 a.m., we waited 15 mins for a waitress to take our order, who later chatted with another employee while my eggs benedict got cold waiting at pickup. She put the food down on our table, grabbed a salsa for us, and we never saw her again. Earlier, my partner sat with an empty cup of coffee for 10 minutes before I had to ask a busboy for more. First, this is how people should run a diner, in a strip type mall, easy to locate. The woman that greeted us was super sweet like all the reviews stated. We sat outside & was tended on promptly. This place has not seen an update since it opened in 2005. We stopped for breakfast & were shocked at the lack of cleanliness plus the food prices are ridiculous. A waffle with nothing else $14. Came in on a Saturday morning for Coachella weekend last week and there wasn't a very long wait (10 min wait for a party of 2). The service was fantastic. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. We ordered sandwiches to go and it only took 15 min wait. The place was full of patrons enjoying their breakfasts/brunch on a hot Saturday morning so we opted to get to-go. Staff is friendly and efficient ( as most family owned operations are!) We got pastrami sandwich and a club sandwich each with a choice of sides and the Cole slaw was perfect for summer! The pastrami was high quality not so fatty beef served on toasted rye I think- hubs devoured it! My club sandwich was very delicious -enough for my lunch and dinner! Definitely will be back. read more
