    Potato salad
    Rebecca A.

This review is based on a take out lunch order only. My mom has dined in here a bunch as it's super close to her work, but while I was in SPI we ordered takeout only. For two of us to share we got the grilled chicken fajita sandwich with rosemary Parmesan fries and from the fancy grilled cheese section of the menu we got the creamy spinach and artichoke sandwich with potato salad as the side. Sandwich one: I've never ordered a fajita sandwich so this was a big win for me. The bread was properly buttered and toasted and the chicken fajita filling had great flavor. I love thin fries and their version is a good one. Sandwich two: if you know me or you've read my reviews, I love grilled cheese sandwiches!! Love, love, love them!! Especially creative and fancy ones. If you love warm spinach and artichoke dip, this sandwich is for you. The bread was perfectly toasted and as described the inside spread was creamy with great melting and tasting cheeses; Fontina and Gruyère. The only miss from all that we ordered was the potato salad. It should have been called raw onion salad. It was loaded with them!! I do not eat raw onions, so this was inedible for me. The menu changes with the seasons and according to my mom they have a delicious butternut squash soup in the fall. I hope to not still be in SPI this visit when fall hits, but I would definitely return here. #supportlocal

Classy place in downtown Springfield, about as classy as you can get. If you're around here that is. Loukinen's On 4th also lets you know what street it's on. A lot of fancy food for around here. The prices really aren't that bad considering the good quality. About the most expensive things are drinks. It's about $12 or more for a cocktail, which isn't surprising because of course this is a pretty classy place. This time we opted for some cheap beers, or the cheapest they had last time. It doesn't have a whole lot for vegans, but they have an Impossible Burger. It's about $14, which isn't that bad for this kind of place. This comes with a side, and we each got a salad. For a salad, it was pretty impressive looking. The Impossible Burgers were cooked without becoming hard as a rock, as these can be sometimes. Good place for fancy drinks and food. It's not that bad of a price for the portions and quality. There's plenty of things for both meat eaters and vegetarians.

If you're looking for a nice dinner in downtown Springfield this is your spot. We were so pleased with the decor, the service and the food. The food was absolutely amazing!!!!

    Three Cheese French Onion Soup

What a wonderful place with some amazing food. We were on our way to Zach William's concert and just happened upon this restaurant. We did not have reservations and it was a Friday night at 6 pm, but we were able to be seated right away. The Manchurian Style Cauliflower was delicious. It practically melted in your mouth. I seriously could have had this as my main course and would have been satisfied. I then ordered the Three Cheese French Onion soup for my main meal and I didn't go wrong. This truly hit the spot and wasn't too heavy. The flavor was spot on. My 2 friends also enjoyed their meals as they had gotten the Bacon, Brown Sugar Bourbon Glaze Burger and the Spiced Shaved Prime Rib Sandwich. They were both pleased with the appetizer as they were their sandwiches. The restaurant was nicely decorated. Seating was not too close and we were able to carry on a conversation with out having to speak loudly. Our server was very personable and knew the menu well. She kept our drinks full. We were able to visit with the Chef and he gave some insight to the cauliflower appetizer. While there we also witnessed the Chef cleaning some of the tables. We were very pleased with our choice for dinner. Price was very reasonable considering how we all loved our meal choices. Would definitely recommend and return!!!

Dynamite menu selection with choices in many proteins.... Beef, pork, chicken, lamb, fish, crustacean etc. The dishes are always thoughtfully constructed with pairing that are balanced and make perfect sense. Terrific wine selection, a few craft beers and the service is top shelf. Chef Loukinen typically will come follow up with each table to inquire of the quality of his delicious creations. The best restaurant in Springfield, by an absolute mile in my opinion.

It is true to the description, casual upscale dining. I got the Loukinens Punch for a drink and it tasted just like juice and still had me a little tipsy. I forgot the name of the meal but I had gotten the special and it tasted amazing and was so filling. The restaurant really specializes in seafood. The service was very kind and even the chef made it a point to come out and check on everyone

The interior of this space oddly made me feel like I was walking into a commercial office space. Although the menu wasn't very extensive or unique, the food was decent and well plated. The chef routinely came out to greet guests which was a nice touch! I travel for a living and have seen it all, I am just being honest. For a small town, it probably is a very nice spot for locals. However, if I were in Springfield again, I would probably look for a different restaurant if I wanted a finer dining experience.

I completely forgot about doing this review (visited in November '21) and this meal was actually one of my top three of last year. I was with my wife and another couple right before Thanksgiving and the autumnal specials were in full swing. The vegetable and rice soup I had was amazing but the pan seared sea bass was to die for. To find a restaurant in Springfield that can actually pull off Risotto is amazing to me - highlight of the night for this die hard Chef Ramsay fan! The ambiance was clean and professional, bathrooms were immaculate and our server was wonderful. A tad pricey but you can easily forget about the cost when you have an all around spectacular evening over food and drinks with friends!

My friends and I each ordered a chef's special a couple weekends ago which featured in a bell pepper risotto, cauliflower, lamb lollipop's, and a filet. Everything was delectable and the steak cut like butter. It's worth every penny. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, professional and he gave us great recommendations. The GM or owner came by a few times to tell us about the special prickly pear tequila made with the margarita I ordered. Then she offered to take a picture of our group because she noticed we were struggling. The hospitality did not go unnoticed. The atmosphere was so inviting and I can't wait to go back.

Quaint little place in downtown. Beautiful decor and good service. Their crab cake bites were delicious. Good crab burger. Chicken dish failed to impress. Overall cute cozy place for dinner!

Really good and well prepared food, great service, nice ambiance, a little too pricey but they are trying to bring quality food so I get it. It looks like they took their time preparing the menu and the restaurant. My only complaint was they charge $11 (even tho it says $9 on the menu) for 3 deviled eggs! Not 3 whole eggs, 3 halves with a little smoked salmon for $11 is absolutely ridiculous. And when I mentioned they should be 9 (which is still way too high) they said it was a mistake on the menu and didn't bother changing it. I'll still go back. Patio looking across at the governors mansion has potential once it warms up.

She even made a point to walk around and check on each table, making sure everything was perfect--that kind of attention really stood out. I ordered the Thai pork bowl, and it was absolutely packed with flavor--perfectly balanced with a little heat, a touch of sweetness, juicy pork, and a satisfying crunch from the coleslaw. The sauces tied everything together beautifully. My wife got the chicken ranch sandwich and couldn't stop raving about it. I took a bite myself and was seriously impressed. The chicken was incredibly juicy and flavorful, the bread was outstanding, and the candied bacon took it over the top--truly next-level. This sandwich was done right. To finish things off, we tried the oatmeal cream pie cookie, and it did not disappoint. It was soft, perfectly baked, and full of rich flavor. I was looking for something with beans and originally ordered the breakfast huarache, mistakenly assuming it was a burrito. I prefer flour tortillas over corn, which started a whole conversation about how the dish is prepared. First, our waiter went to the kitchen to check on modifications, then a second waiter kindly came over to explain the traditional preparation, and finally, the chef himself came out to help! He explained that a huarache is open-faced, not a burrito, but immediately offered a perfect solution: he could custom-make their breakfast burrito using pinto beans as the protein for me instead. When the chef brought it out, it was HUGE. He took the time to explain exactly how he made it and told me to just ask for him or request the modification next time. Not only was the service incredibly attentive, but the burrito was easily the best I've ever had. It's 9 hours later and I am still full from eating just half of it! The food is amazing, the restaurant is clean, and it's clear this team truly cares about their customers. We will definitely be back!
