    CHICAGO DOG grilled chicken salad

Lov-a Burger is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it gets. The menu, a solid 810 out of 10, delivers freshness in every bite. The gluten-free buns add a thoughtful touch, making it inclusive for all. The burgers are not just good; they redefine the burger experience. The shakes are a delightful indulgence, the fries boast a buttery perfection, and the salads are a standout with flavors that leave a lasting impression. Freshness is the constant theme, evident in every dish. The juicy chicken adds another dimension to their already stellar offerings. Being a small business, Lov-a Burger impresses with the speed at which the food is ready, served piping hot. Zero complaints seem inevitable when each visit reaffirms the consistency and quality. It has become a go-to spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - a testament to its wide appeal. What sets Lov-a Burger apart is not just the exceptional food but also the affordability. The prices make it a clear winner, surpassing any other burger joint in value. Since discovering this place, I haven't looked back. Lover Burger has secured its place as my favorite, and I can't recommend it enough for those seeking fresh, delicious, and budget-friendly meals. The family that operates lov-a burger are by far some of the kindest people and their service is definitely worth the while!

This place is very unassuming and easy to miss if you're driving up and down Gratiot Ave. I kept it simple with a burger and onion rings. The decor is humble to say the least and the food does not look special, but I was more than pleased by my burger and onion rings. The cook and waitress were also very polite and happy that I enjoyed my lunch.

We walked into this restaurant to try it out because I was craving chilli cheese fries. It's a super cute and small homey restaurant. We ordered at the front. I ordered chilli cheese fries and sliders. My husband ordered the volcano burger. We sat down at a table next to a gentleman. He told us that he has been coming here for a long time and loves the food. We got super excited. When my food came out, I will admit the chilli cheese fries looks mosleading in the photo. As soon as I started eating the top fries, I noticed the cheese and chilli went all the way to the bottom. It was almost like they layered it, put some fries then chilli and cheese and fries again. It was a lot more chilli and cheese, which was a happy surprise. The fries were delicious. The sliders were super fresh and tasted amazing. My husband enjoyed his burger. He said the flavors went together well. He absolutely loved the curly fries. The guy next to us told the owner to bring his seasoned mix and my husband said it tasted amazing. So next time we will ordered seasoned fries. We talked to the owner when we were walking out. He asked us how the food was and we told him we loved it. He has been in the business for 8 years. We will definitely be back again!

Ordered delivery and the cheeseburger was so good. Fries were a bit soggy, but probably because it was delivery.

Lov-a- Burger has curbside pickup and it's easy to order online. I noticed there are extra fees with using both pick up and online orders its a couple of extra dollars but its worth noting so you are not surprised. We both ordered wraps and cajun fries. The food is decent. I asked for no tomato, but it was still there so that was disappointing. We also got drinks which Lov-a Burger carries Coca-Cola products. I would be willing to try the burgers next time as that is the most raved about in their reviews.

Slider basket. Added onion rings for extra $4.99

Stopped for lunch and got sliders and double cheeseburger with fries and onion rings with water and tea. Great service, great food, and the only reason not giving 5 stars is the price. $7.49 for a cheese burger, $4 extra to make it a double, and $5.99 to add waffle fries and the tea. My 3 sliders was $7.99 and onion rings was $4.99 and $1 for ranch. Our total lunch bill was $33. I know I know, family owned and operated and inflation but damn, hard to go out these days.

My husband and I were in the area for a job site. He said he wanted to try this burger place. At first I thought it was going to be like a no good fast food burger place. Once inside the customer service was great the atmosphere changed. It was a clean small little restaurant. So many choices and it smelled amazing. My husband got the lov-a-burger special with fries and I got the LA-volcano burger with onion rings and a pineapple shake. These were like homemade burgers but better! Cooked well and just tasted absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend skipping the 5 franchise places on the same street and going here for any burger fix!

We live near here and I have wanted to try it, but can never tell when it is open. Every time we drive by the lot is empty and it looks dark inside. It has good reviews. Do most people just order carryout or something?

I've only ever ordered take out. Inside is nice but small. I would think if you dine in you'd only be the 15 min tops . Like a fast food place in terms of in and out not really like a sit down and stay an hour place. Food is excellent though

I want to love this place, but I can only like it. The food is too hit and miss for me to "not be…read moreable to wait" until my next visit. I'll eat here, but not as often as i would if they polished up their menu/execution. The chicken dishes, all of them, are terrible. They advertise "tender chicken cut into slices," but if you look at any of the pics on here, it's all the same - tiny, little chicken bits, dry and overcooked. The more obscure dishes are the way to go. They fail hard on the basics, but hit home runs on their more unheard of menu items. If you've never heard of something, but it sounds good - that's what you should order here. Chicken lemon rice: 3/10 Not enough chicken, lemon tastes artificial and weird, soup is bland. I've had better CLR at most any coney island. Chicken Gyro: 3/10 Chicken was dry, the orzo was dry and overcooked, tziki sauce was thick and lacked flavor. Plenty of chicken... I would have rather had less chicken, cooked better. I haven't seen their chicken kabob, but it seems like this place uses the thick part of their breast for the kabobs, and uses the scraps bits for all of their other dishes. Grape Leaves: 7/10 Good flavor, good sauce... wish the CLR soup tasted as good as the sauce from the grape leaves. Stifado: 9/10 Excellent dish. Good amount of beef, great flavor, nice stew. This is the dish that I would come back for. Bread basket: Bread: 4/10 - they serve the bread ice cold. Olive oil: 9/10 - excellent flavor, super light, nice lemon zest Service: 8.5/10 - good job. They had one guy for all 8 or so tables, but did he did a good job covering them. The busser/assistant did a good job at keeping our waters and bread full, but he tries to carry too much, and it causes a big distraction (glasses clunking, nearly falling over, re-stacking)... sometimes two trips is better than one... He also says "of course" (pet peeve) when someone says "thank you." Perhaps I'm weird, but I find that terribly dismissive, and off-putting.

Food-wise, it was a mixed bag but mostly good. I ordered a chicken wrap and that was the miss for me. The chicken was kind of shredded and just not great, so I wouldn't order that again. My son got the donut waffle which was fine, but the real standout for the kids was the pancakes. Three big, fluffy pancakes on the kids plate and they were legit good. The fruit sides were excellent too. Fresh berries, not sad afterthought fruit. My husband's omelet looked amazing and made me realize I probably should've stuck with more classic breakfast food instead of a lunch item. Service was friendly and patient. It was a little slow, but it was a busy Saturday morning and it looked like our waitress was covering a whole section by herself. Getting the bill took a bit, but it felt more like opening growing pains than bad service. Overall, great atmosphere, solid breakfast options, and a place I'd totally return to. Next time I'm going full breakfast menu and skipping the wrap for sure.

The portion sizes were huge and we both ended up with large amounts to take home. I also ordered a morning Spritz which was gin, raspberry smash and sparkling wine. It was ok. But I would go with a traditional mimosa next time. I joined the loyalty program as well. We really loved it here and will definitely be back!

I had looked at the menu online before. I'd gone in and what they had on the menu matched, what I had found online, which was a really good sign, because a lot of places don't keep their online menus up to date. I ordered their sampler plate that had Hummus. Falafel, grape leaves. And baba ganoosh, which i'm not a real big fan of so I opted for an extra falafel. There's falafel, and there's falafels, sometimes the falafel is too crunchy on the outside and not soft.Enough on the inside, this was absolutely perfect. Dipped in the hummus or the greek garlic spread, it was phenomenal. I've had it at some other places where it's kind of runny. This was the perfect consistency and flavor. The hummus was very tasty as well. I actually didn't see it on the menu, but they have lamb and red meat grape leaves which I'd never had before, but since I missed it on the menu, I ended up with the non vegetarian grape leaves, I noticed the difference right away because the leaf was darker in color; I'm not a big meat eater, but these were actually really good. For folks who aren't vegan and don't like grape leaves, this might be something they might want to try, because it has a very different flavor and are much heartiest. The restaurant is very clean and organized. They were really busy and Kristina the other waitress, was busy the whole time serving, and clearing tables. Such nice staff, too. When I first got there, the gentleman who may have been the owner for but pretty sure. He'd been working in the kitchen was sitting at 1 of the tables, chatting with a young couple that he seemed to know really well. It was nice to see that in a small local restaurant. Gabby was a gem. I have a couple of hand conditions, and I had some issues with some things that I'd never had problems with before- like holding onto the knife whil. And she was kind enough to help me get my leftovers into the carry out containers, I was so grateful for her helping with that. It was embarrassing, but she just made like it was no big deal. I felt really cared for and that means a lot, nowadays. 10s for food quality, comfort, price, and customer service. (I had enough for a sidedish at lunch today.) Thank you!
