I've been coming here a lot lately, this is the 2nd time I'm extremely unhappy. There's a man that works there that is super rude. He did my nails the last time and was rough, tossing my foot around, aggressively putting on the take home sandal. I told him I did not want my foot touching the plastic from the pedicure chair without a towel over it. He would not listen, then slammed my foot on it. Today he did not do my nails or toes but came Over to put my sandals on after he and a few associates were speaking in their language. I knew he had to remember me. He once again aggressively put on the sandal, I snatched the other and said I can do it. You did this same deal the last time. Overall he should be fired. He has horrible service, doesn't listen to the customer and does what he wants After someone replied to This yelp review al she did was make excuses for him saying he can't hear well and doesn't speak English which was very disappointing instead of stating facts. This used to be my go to nail place. Last time I visited was a disappointment to say the least. They charged me over 100 dollars + tip while I kept hearing other girls given reasonable prices for the same length of nails and same amount of detail. To top it off I have 2 crooked nails and some of my nails look like something stained them. Also, they gave me glow in the dark nail polish which I didn't ask for and then charged me for it which is probably why my nails were over 100 dollars. Had an appointment at 9:40 with Emily on a Saturday. Showed up and 9:30 and it was already getting crowded. Emily was great! She's busy answering phones and taking care of walk ins but still took her time with my nails. I never felt rushed in any way. My advice would be to make an appointment and be prepared to wait a little. The place gets packed and the wait time gets a little longer even with an appointment. UPDATE: after raving to my sister about this place she decided to make an appointment with Emily . Her appointment was at 12:00 on a Saturday . She got there around 11:50.... they continued to tell her 10 more min for almost an hour!! At 12:40 she finally told them she was leaving and wasn't waiting any longer since her appointment was 40min ago! They asked her if she could come back later. She of course said NO! Because of this I won't be returning, 40 min! 10 -15 min past your appointment time ok I get it, that's understandable but 40?!? Come on that's ridiculous! read more

I used to like this place but it really depends on who is doing your nails whether they turn out nicely. I went a month ago and my gel was still perfect but I just went and my mani was rushed, didn't push my cuticles back, polish has dents and is in my cuticles, and cuticle clippers were used to cut around my nail to take off polish! I also noticed that she was using tools from the clean tool box on me and then putting them back into the "clean" box!! I'm really disappointed because I've been coming here for a few years even after is moved further away. If you find someone you like go to them (a lot of them are good) but there are a few who don't put the care in and that sucks. read more

This place is packed every time I go. But I get it, they do a good job, and it's inexpensive. There are 3 other shops within less that 100 yards but this place is always full. Today I came for a gel manicure and the nail tech Ivy advised me that my natural nails were long enough for a coffin shape. I have never had that done before. Let me tell you I AM IN LOVE. This is my second time here, I have attempted others but they were too busy. My first gel manicure lasted 3 weeks no chip. The literally have 100's of colors to choose from as well. On my visit today I went at 6:00pm after work and it was already 6:30 when they were able to attend to me. The nails themselves are fine its the art thats the problem. The art was horrible and looks like a child did it. Definitely not the quality that I expect when I go. If the girl was not able to do the art she should have called someone else on to do it. It was already late and way past closing and I would hate to have made them stay longer, but I should have. I know its my own fault that I didn't complain right then and there. So this will officially be my last time coming here. Today is my birthday. I came in 2 days ago and got a pedicure and a full set. I tried to show a picture of the kind of nail that I desired to the technician but she told me they didn't have the color I wanted, so I had to choose a last minute color and tried to get the same design but it didn't look good so I just told the tech to paint the whole nail. I specifically mentioned that I like a square narrow nail, I made a comment on the nail and she told me, "I still have to drill" so I figured she knew what she was doing. It seemed like she was a bit frustrated so I stopped saying anything. After she was finished I really didn't like the shape of the nail, they were so big and bulky looking but it was too late to say anything. I couldn't go the next day because I had to work, so I decided to come in today on my birthday. I tried to express what happened and I told them it was my birthday so it was pretty inconvenient for me. The man who did my nails was very nice to me but they ended up charging me $25. I feel like my money was wasted. Not only did they charge me on my birthday for a shape and a color that I had to rush to pick but about a month prior they cut my finger really bad and I was kind enough not to file a lawsuit because I believe it was a genuine mistake and I was compensated for it as I rightfully should have been. You would think they would be more accommodating to someone who spared them the headache of a lawsuit, but they chose to charge me on my birthday for something I came in 2 days after for not liking and not feeling comfortable at the time to say anything. I never complain but that just really pissed me off and completely turned me off to ever wanting to come here again. I will go back to Glow and Nails in Chino Hills. I'm very disappointed. I wouldn't do a walk in unless its during the week when most people are at work. I made an appointment with Cindy and she did an amazing job on my nails. There's a little sign in and out sheet and that's how they keep track. Took about 15 minutes to get someone so it wasn't too bad of a wait, did pedicure and acrylic. My boyfriend is super into nails and wanted me to try holo style for his birthday so I did. Don't waste your time/money here. I live literally a minute away and thought I'd find a place near by to get my nails done instead of my usual 45 min drive. I should have read the RECENT reviews. I called in ahead of time to ask if they had the dip powder and how much they charge for it. The lady on the phone said $35. I said I would be there in an hour. Cool. I arrived and sent with Kathy and another lady named Ruthie (That's what it sounded like) Kathy starting Removing my old powder and tips. My nails were long but I explained to her that I've been using acrylics for a long time and my nails aren't strong enough yet. I asked nicely if she could cut them. She was giving me shit for it. I Told her trust me they're not strong enough, they'll break and I'll be back here in 2 days. She then started talking to Ruthie (that was working on my pedi) in her language saying god knows what. Anyway, Ruthie finished my pedi. My toes look beautiful again. No complaints about that. Now back to Kathy. She clipped my real nails off and asked me what shape I wanted. I told her I wanted coffin. Then after she was finishing up the powder I asked how much it would be. I had been reading the comments on yelp while she was doing my nails, which I should have read before because she tells me it would be $50 Just for my dip powder. Umm what?! I told her I had called and I was told $35. She then tells me that it's extra for the tip, extra for the shape and extra for the length. She had more than one chance to let me know it would be more but she failed to do so. On top of all that the nail polish looked dusty and bubbly. I showed her and she blamed it on the products. Now, if this is true, why aren't you using something else? Especially for those ridiculous prices. I'd gladly pay that price if one, I was told beforehand and 2, if the work is worth it. But it wasn't. Look at my cuticles, look at the glue left on my fingers, the dusty nail polish and the cuts. The only things I was happy with was Ruthie's pedi and the shape of my nails. I really wanted to like this place. All the pictures and reviews look so great, but I think I just had a bad lady doing my nails. I'm used to going to Pearl Nails in Rosemead, which is always consistently on point--no matter who I have working on my nails. This place started out good because the lady was really detailed in shaping my nails, but her nail polishing was lacking. Corners were missed/uneven and she didn't clean up the cuticle part well. Pearl Nails is the only place I've been to that is detailed enough to even use a paint brush dipped in acetone to clean up and smooth out the polish on the cuticle line. Wish I had a better lady ): $20 for gel manicure, so for the price, I guess it gets the job done. I made an appointment for right when they opened at 10:30am on a Sunday, though if you come early enough, I'm sure you wouldn't have to wait long if you didn't have an appointment. read more

They have the best mail techs and in my opinion are cheap but one thing they don't have down is their customer service and appointment making! I have been coming here for 7-8 years! As soon as he's done applying the fake nail I ask him "I'm still going to get Cindy right? I always come to her " he told me "sorry her next appointment is here already" Cindy comes over and tells me she has another appointment here now and I am upset at this point because what is the point of me calling and making appointments if they aren't going to respect! 3 walk ins got seated before me that got there after me too! Cindy could have handed the client she barley started on to someone else because it wasn't right that at 2:55 she had barley started another client if she knew I was coming at 3! I don't blame her. Management should have told her your appointment is coming coming in 5 minutes so I'm just really upset at the way I have been received here the past year now!
