I arrived at Discount Tire in Medford at 5:56 p.m., just before closing, and was concerned I might be turned away. Instead, Daniel and Steven immediately stepped in to help. They didn't look at the clock or tell me to come back the next day. They quickly inspected the tire and explained that if the nail was in the center of the tread, the repair would likely be free, but if it was in the sidewall, replacement might be necessary. After putting the vehicle on the lift, they found the nail was in the center of the tire and were able to complete a quick patch repair. I was back on the road in less than 15 minutes. I truly appreciate Daniel and Steven's professionalism, customer service, and willingness to help at the end of the day. They went above and beyond, and I'm grateful they got me safely back on the road.

I decided in the tires as Richard was writing up my invoice he offered me free mounting and balancing since one of their competitors was offering the same deal. I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience with Point S Tire & Auto Service was too…read moreconcerning not to share. I bought a set of tires from them for about $600 (almost $900 installed). In less than 10,000 miles (about a year and a half), the tires started showing visible tread chunking and abnormal wear. When I had another shop look at them, they estimated the tires had already lost about 50% of their tread life, which is extremely premature. When I first brought my vehicle back to Point S, they told me I needed a rack and pinion replacement and quoted around $2,000. That didn't sit right, so I got two additional opinions. Both confirmed there was no issue with the rack and pinion. When I returned and told them this, they said the original diagnosis may have been a mistake and that they could have confused rainwater for a fluid leak. That explanation alone was concerning. They also dismissed the tire wear as normal, despite the low mileage, visible damage, and feedback from other shops. They did not offer meaningful help with a warranty claim or take responsibility for the situation. At that point, I lost confidence and chose to go elsewhere. Between the incorrect $2,000 repair recommendation and the unwillingness to address what appears to be premature tire failure, I would not return. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion if you're told you need major repairs here.

After they charged my deposit, they suddenly "couldn't fulfill the order," yet made every excuse possible to keep the deposit rather than just cancel cleanly. It feels less like a tire shop and more like a trap for anyone expecting honest service. If you like paying for nothing and arguing for refunds, this is your place. Otherwise, take your car and your sanity somewhere else.

I wound up having to pull off at the second runaway truck ramp -- a very dangerous place to be, but unavoidable. After more than an hour of wrangling with my roadside assistance service, which was trying to wriggle out of its commitment to provide the services I pay a good deal for (beware, RVers -- Good Sam Roadside Assistance was ANYTHING but a good Samaritan in this case!), I got them to send a tow truck to take my travel trailer and truck down off that scary mountain. Good Sam told the tow truck operator, once he was there and had my vehicles hooked up, that they would not honor my claim and pay them. To his credit, Christian called Travis, his supervisor, to explain what was going on. Travis did the right thing, saying, "Get them off that dangerous spot, and we'll deal with their service later." I am hoping he was able to recoup his costs from Good Sam, because Blue Line is a great, very capable tow service with good human beings who did the decent thing. I will never forget my sense of relief coming down off that steep grade. Thank you, guys, for being the anti-jerks and renewing my faith in human nature!

They charged me $155 for full diagnostic of the entire car, instead of just focusing on the window. Window motor was fine, electrical components fine. Just needed a new cable. Before going in, I thought: this might be my new go to mechanic and I wanted to keep business local. My window is fixed- so thank you. But, will not be going back.
