I recently visited LH&N recently again, and here's my report: 1) quickly accepted as a walk in 2) cleanliness was ok; however ALl tools and pedicure stations #1 & #14 were not sanitized after usage but the nail clippers and files used were sanitized 3) I appreciated the job done as a man but Please not men should receive the same level of detail as men eg if the tie and fingernail cuticles should me manicured with the same detail as the ladies. Did not clip cuticles back well. The nail polish quality is not that great - as when I get gel manicure it should not be coming off within a few days. Some of the equipment is not cleaned well for when you are drying your nails. Otherwise - the 2 stars is because there was someone there to help translate my request, questions, and comments - although I still am not sure my nail tech fully understood. I just don't think it is worth the $45 anymore. I got a gel french manicure. So. maybe this was just too cheap in price? I will look for a better place. read more

I came in here to get my dip powder set that was done at another salon removed. I wouldn't dare cheat on my nail tech but I thought that removing SNS was a simple enough job that another nail tech could do -- mistake #1. I said i was in a hurry so instead of soaking my nails in acetone they take the painful route and use another acrylic nail to pop off the SNS on again my REAL nail. I say they because i have someone doing each hand. I learned a lesson and is to always soak your nails off for the sake of still having healthy-ish nails once the job is done. At the end of it all, my nail beds were in pain and red. The basic manicure she did after is also trash, nails uneven, detail not there. Most of the Tech's are good, except for the the guy he rushes and his results are subpar.

I visited here in August for a fill in with gel polish. I thought my nails looked good (not great) when I left the salon but after closer inspection, I noticed the sloppy paint job she'd done. I feel like this salon gets business from people (like me) just walking through the mall who say "hey, maybe I should get my nails done" and don't care about getting repeat customers. read more

Worst job ever, part of my nails aren't painted and the color is bleeding. When she came to fix them, she only fixed like, 2 of them. Then she got mad at me for complaining to her manager. I've been going to this place for years and they've always done me good. Most recently Tina has been doing my nails and I will be going back to her soon! In general every nail tech I've had put in a lot of time and effort to properly shape, paint and add design to my nails. I got a dip in mani and regular pedicure. The lady was fast but not neat. This place is NOT sanitary, they reuse everything and do not clean at all. I sat there drying my toes and none of them clean after use. They kept doing other people with out wiping the table or changing the tools. My cuticles were bleeding when she was doing my nails. I hate my nails so much and the service here was terrible. Not only did they treat me poorly but they also completely botched my nails. The nail tech made me tip both the technician who did my feet and herself and all in all I ended up paying $105 for these "natural French manicure" nails. If I could no stars I would. I get my nails and feet done faithfully every two weeks. Yet, every time I come in for my usual (pedicure and fill with gel polish) I am quoted a different price. What broke the camels back for me was when I got charged a $108 for the following services: my eyebrows, which cost $8.00, a regular pedicure which is $25, a fill which is $15.00, and gel polish which is another $15.00, and a design on only two fingers, which should only be $15.00. Oh and by the way I did not get a cut down, my nails are more on the shorter end, and they are simply shaped square. When I added up all my services: I was expecting to pay no more than approximately $73.00 (Eyebrow-$8.00, Pedicure-$25.00, Fill-$15.00, Gel Polish $15.00, and designs on two fingers-$15.00). When I asked where the extra $35.00 was coming from she told me it was because of the design. But two weeks prior I came in and got the same services and almost got the same exact design and she only charged me $73.00. When I asked the manager to refund my card she refused so I simply called my bank and explained the situation and they refunded me the difference. Worst foot job I ever had! I went home and realized I needed to redo my entire foot!!! Simple contours that a professional would of spotted. Uneven skin surfaces etc! Came into the shop on a Tuesday night about 7pm for a gel manicure on my natural nails($30). A lady greeted me at the front counter and directed me to a technician right away. I was seated with Van at #10. She was a quiet lady and took her time with the manicure. I liked the color and the way my nails came out, there were smooth with no lumps or bubbles. The only con was that she only covered the majority of the nail, the gel barely touched the sides(still doesn't look terrible). But interested to see how it grows out. She removed my nails and then told me to go to another nail tech as she serviced someone who came in behind me. I began getting my nails done by the second lady who appeared to be advanced at nail artistry. I told the tech that I wanted clear nails and how I like long nails, pretty nails etc. STRIKE 1: The tech put my tips on & I was like yessss.... I love the length, blazay blah. She then insinuates that my nails will look good when I hold the blunt (weed)! Excuse me, I don't smoke. I hold a professional job ma'm and just because I'm black, young, & requested long artsy nails does not imply that I use recreational drugs. STRIKE 2: The nail tech doing my nails and another nail tech began to size my pockets up by engaging in conversation about the designer stuff I had on. Along with asking for a shout out on IG bc I stated that my friend that was with me debuted in a tv series. STRIKE 3: Of course, they added all of these ridiculous not normal charges to my tab to add up to a whopping $140.00 as I go to paid for nails. If you extra charge, or up charge for particulars... as a business a customer SHOULD be notified. Especially a business that is located within the demographics of WHEATON MALL. I live in Bethesda and have patronized some of the top nail spas and some of the lowest in the DMV and NEVER paid $140 for nails only. I have also had my nails as long as the original tip with no cut down and still never paid $140.00! (So these current nails are not considered to be extra long!!!!) If I could rate this place a Zero Star... I would! Do NOT waste your HARD earned money on a business that focuses on robbing their clients instead of establishing relationships!!!!!! Do not waste your money on a place that makes derogatory statements to clients regarding drugs. And Lastly, DONT waste your money on a place who's product does not last the estimated time (2 weeks) my nails were lifting in 5 DAYS! Horrible, to say the least!!!! read more

I love this place! I go to Nikki (ig: @nailsbynikki85) and the following review is on her behalf. She can do just about any design you could think of, the nails will last (I work retail and they didn't budge!), and she does a full set quickly (less than an hour even with complex designs) without missing a single step! I've had awful experiences and good experiences in the past so when I say she is excellent I mean it! Best experience ever! You will rave over your nails if you get them done by Nikki. I will never go anywhere else as long as Nikki can do them! Wonderful salon. Great covid-19 precautions. You can expect to keep these nails on for 3+ weeks without lifting or breaking and are beyond worth it. And the salon is conveniently located inside Westfield Wheaton shopping mall. read more

Again! Marina does not disappoint. This is a very hit and miss place. But trust me if you go to the right tech you'll be happy. If marina isn't there or doesn't have time then don't settle because of inpatients. Make an appointment with her instead because she's worth the wait. She doesn't work Sundays so if that's the only day you can do then I would suggest you go with two specific males that seem to do nails nicely as well. You won't miss them because they are both covered in tattoos. I haven't personally gotten a set from them but my little niece has and her nails looked nice as well. read more
