She was indeed amazing- friendly, patient & was flexible with extending some of my broken nails for free! I left the salon with pretty looking nails. I happened upon this salon after shopping at the Tom Thumb. I wanted a mani/ pedi. I looked the salon up on Yelp, of course, and saw that they only took appointments. My goal was to book an appointment for later. However, Star the person that serviced me said she could assist me immediately. I was like, OK.. THIS WAS THE BEST SERVICE I HAVE RECIEVED IN A LONG TIME. She did an excellent job with my mani/pedi. I'm into all natural organic products. So, I was disappointed by the selection of chemical filled nail polishes. However, I always bring my own. The mani/pedi was so good. So, I opted for a facial. NOW, the facial was excellent. Star's passion for skincare was evident in the service. However, for the price of the facial I was expecting more amenities. There was bright light shining in my face: I am accustomed to dimmers. Also, poor Star, the equipment kept malfunctioning. Star kept apologizing. Also, the room was REALLY small and cluttered. With all that being said, if I could only evaluate Star, I would give this place 5 stars. However, because I have been to many upscale salons, I have to give this place 3 stars. I'm on the fence about returning. I liked my services. However, after spending over $200 , this did include a tip, I need spa like amenities. read more

True professionals at this place. From the outside and even upon entering, it may appear to be a little more "bare bones" than many nail places in Dallas. (It's no Hawaiian Nail Bar, but this is a good thing!) It's a no-frills environment, but every person who has done my nails at this establishment so far has done great. I get gel manicures, and they always last the promised two-week period, thanks to the care they take when working with me. If you are a perfectionist about nails, and hate when nail artists get the gel on your skin, or file unevenly...go here! Jon and Kim are great. Might not recommend for a girls pedicure outing, due to the size and capacity of the place, but otherwise...give it a shot! read more

WoW! This place is pretty awesome! I usually go to the fancy fancy nail spa, but I was in a rush and this place is right by my house. The salon is small and clean. I was very excited that they actually use their TV's since I get super bored while getting my nails done. I hate going to nail salons with 12 flat screens and none of them are on. Love the massage chairs while getting a fantastic spa pedicure! The heated stones followed by a 5 minute leg massages is heavenly. Friendly staff speaks enough English to make the visit enjoyable. This place is busy - get there early in the morning on the weekend to get in without a wait. Very disappointed that the color I chose is not the color I'm walking out with. Even when I told the manager this isn't the right color he said, " it needs another coat it gets darker." I'm well aware the shade gets darker but I wanted it more red and not pink. Hadn't been here in quite some time and was hopeful in my return. Not sure I will come back again. read more

I literally just wanted them to take the solar color off of my nails and the gentleman got upset and told me "if it is that easy, you do!" I tried to explain what I wanted and he was very angry and unprofessional. I don't understand why it was such an issue, but I will never come back or recommend. read more

Great pedicures and love the gel manicures here. Ask for a glass of wine or soda during your treatment. They make my crazy eyebrows look tame too with their waxing. Staff is nice, did me and 6 of my girls' nails for my wedding day and everyone was happy. I recommend making an appointment on weekends and after work during the week. read more

I always go here for my pedicure and manicure/gels. The sometimes get crowded so it's best to make an appointment. They provide wine/soda if you are getting a pedicure. They need to update their pedicure chairs, but for the most part it's a relaxing place. read more

I took my mom here today because the place I usually go to was closed and since we were in a little hurry this place was not busy at all. We were the only ones there and there was one male and one female both working on my mom's nails. She wanted a color change on her feet and acrylic nails on her hands but they ended up convincing her to do the new "dip" nails. I asked about pricing in the beginning so there would be no confusion afterwards and the lady told us that it would be 35 dollars for the dip nails and 5 dollars for 2 designs. So my mom got 2 designs on each hand ( 4 total ) and 1 design on each foot ( 2 total) which should've been 15 dollars total for the design. The total we should have paid was 50 dollars. Also, it should not take 3 hours on one person when there is 2 employees and when it is not busy at all. The man messed up the design that was put on one of her fingers and so it was going to take even more time to re do it so we told them not to fix it and to leave it how it was because of the time we were already there for. But they did not apologize for the mess up. At the end the lady told us that our total was 58 dollars and when we asked her why it was not 50 like we agreed to at the beginning, she started to argue and raise her voice and said she charged 15 dollars extra for designs on feet (which still doesn't add up to 58). We did not have time to sit there and argue so we paid her the 58 dollars and left but we will not be returning and we do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I'm not sure if they got new management, but the girl looked so lost. I got nexgen and she missed a few important steps! I was shocked to walk in and not see any vietnamese workers. That really threw me off. They charged $35 for nexgen and DID NOT do a good job. You can see where she didn't dip far enough, and my nail bed was not filed properly so it's rocky and rough. There was a mexican lady working there and she kept staring at me the whole time. As soon as I get back from vacation, i'm taking these nail off and going somewhere else. Complete waste of money. I needed a quick pedicure today and a friend recommended Lovely Nails. She said how good they are that even her girls AND husband have gone with her. So she forwarded me the contact number along with the name, Lyn. She did say make sure to call because Lyn is pretty busy. So I called this afternoon thinking I could get in before the evening rush. I almost missed out but Lyn was kind enough to take me. So I went in a little earlier than my appointment time and Lyn immediately tended to my need of a pedicure. I must say...I was thoroughly impressed. Lyn was very attentive to my feet, and didn't give me a rush job. Lovely Nails is a small place not super fancy like all these other spas I've gone too but the price they charge for the pedi is far less than what I've paid at the other places but Lovely Nails does a MUCH better job. This is the first time since I've lived in Dallas area that I've gotten a pedi under $30. I'll end by saying that I will be going back to see Lyn and taking advantage of those Mon - Wed specials. read more

Went in to get two pedicures, they weren't busy, no one was waiting, and the dude was super rude when I said two pedicures, and told me no, could I go somewhere else they can't do it-very unprofessional, rude-It was my first and last time-and I will make sure to tell everyone I know DO NOT go there-take your money elsewhere because apparently they don't need it!
