Like seriously, I'm tired of it. I came in on Saturday around 2ish and it was busy, no big deal I asked how long it would be and the owner, or I presume her to be the owner, says it will be 15 minutes. In my mind I was going to just come back another day that wasn't busy, but she insisted that it wouldn't be long, so me not going with my gut instinct to just leave ended up staying. So 20 minutes into my visit, I was asked to choose a color and I did for both my toes and my nextgen for my nails. I was sat in a chair 5 minutes later. The young gentleman who took care of my pedicure did a fantastic job, was cordial, took his time, was gentle with the whole procedure, sadly it was downhill from there. The owner comes to start taking off the nextgen I had on from a previous visit and oh my gosh she was so rough and was digging her nails into my fingers as she was trying to drill of the chunks of old nextgen, and while she was doing so she cut my cuticles up enough to bleed and sting during the part where she put the acetone soaked cotton ball wrapped with foil. Honestly, if you're going to treat your customers like crap so you can get more people in, I would rather spend my money elsewhere, I would even gladly pay more for better customer service. This was ridiculous. And of course she kept going back and fourth to customers who came in after me to tend to them before she even thought about finishing my nextgen. It was a good 50 min minutes to get them dipped and finished. She did an alright job, but wow have I ever felt like an inconvenience. If I could give no stars I would. And at the end of my long terrible visit she insisted that come back in 2 weeks. Ha!!! Not in a million years. Good bye!

Had my first trip to Fancy Nails today and was extremely happy with the entire visit…read more I was immediately greeted when I walked in and The attendant, Nancy, didn't speak very much, if any, English, but she was very polite all the same. She spent almost an hour on my feet and calves and was very thorough but gentle. She didn't make me feel like she was in a rush. Nancy also did a gel manicure, and was also very thorough and did not rush - she re-checked my nails several times to make sure they looked good and checked with me several times to ensure that I was happy with the quality. Also, I had a very sore spot where I had ripped my cuticle and she was extremely careful around the area and was very gentle. As a previous review stated, the only real negative I found here was that they don't have a very extensive selection of polish and a lot of them are old. Also, I had a previous coat of gel polish on that needed to be removed and while receiving my pedi, I was told to soak my fingertips in a bowl of acetone. Maybe this is common to do, but I'm used to the nail tech placing acetone-soaked cotton balls on my nails and then wrapping them in foil and letting it sit. This way, you aren't soaking your entire fingertips in acetone which makes them very, very dry. I had my hands in the acetone for around 40 minutes, but they seem fine now. I just found it odd. I highly recommend Fancy Nails if you are looking for an inexpensive mani/pedi with employees who are attentive and talented.

He starts doing my nails and ask me if I like the length and I told him it was too long so he cuts it down. From a coffin shape to a square so I told him to shape it back to a coffin and he said alright he will later. 5 mins into putting the acrylic on he asked me if I like the shape, keep in mind he still hasn't filed it.. I told him not really to be polite and he starts cutting them down . I'm sitting there thinking he's redoing them but he tells me " we are not good enough for you, you should go somewhere else' and he kicked me out leaving my nails like this (pic). I came in a few days ago for an acrylic set and a simple gel pedicure. I picked out what I believed was a pink sparkly gel polish for my toes. No one told me it was actually just a clear glitter top coat, so when my pedicure was finished, my toes looked like they had little to no polish on them. When I asked if there was any way to switch to an actual color, I was told no. Instead, they just added a sheer pink-tinted top coat, which still looked completely clear. To make matters worse, I was in the salon for FOUR HOURS for an acrylic set and a basic pedicure, despite there only being one other customer there. I was passed around between four different nail technicians, and the entire experience felt disorganized. Throughout it all, I remained kind and respectful. I complimented the pedicure, said I loved my nails, and never complained in person. Meanwhile, my cuticles were cut so aggressively that several fingers were bleeding. When I got home and took a shower, the polish on my right foot literally washed off, and the gel completely peeled off one toe on my left foot. The service wasn't even completed properly. I called the salon and explained what happened. I asked if I could simply come back and have a white gel polish put on my toes since the original polish had failed. The man on the phone agreed and told me to come in. After driving back to the salon and waiting another 30 minutes, I finally sat down, only to be told that he would not be changing the color after all and that I would have to pay. I politely explained that if he wasn't willing to do it, that was his choice, but he shouldn't have told me yes over the phone, made me drive back, and then changed his mind after I had already waited. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he began shouting at me and even announced that he was recording me. I've honestly never experienced customer service like this. Between the four-hour appointment, bleeding cuticles, polish falling off immediately, poor communication, and being yelled at for simply asking them to honor what they had already agreed to, this was by far the worst nail salon experience I've ever had. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. If you value quality work, honest communication, and respectful customer service, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else.
