I have tried probably three other places in the Lisle/ Naperville are for pedicures and full sets, but absolutely none compare. First of all, and this may sound terrible but I do not mean for it to, I ABSOLUTELY despise going to a nail salon, or anywhere for that matter, and the employees insist on speaking another language and blatantly ignore you. I have never had this experience at Lovely Nails, though, yes I have heard techs that do not have customers speaking amongst themselves in another language; however, I have never been in a chair with a tech and have them look over at another employee and start talking smack or whatever knowing that I cannot understand them. This was the first thing that stood out to me my first trip there. Secondly, yes it is plain and modest inside, but I like that. To me it feels as though they aren't trying to distract you from their poor work with their flashy decor. The lace does not feel cramped or cluttered, it is very comfortable, and there is always a magazine available or a TV turned on, just in case. Third, I have gone to one salon that coat your acrylics so thin that I'm scared that they will snap from opening a pop can. I have also been to one salon that coated them so thick that it was as if I have six nails on one finger. Lovely is that perfect middle ground. They feel sturdy and full of quality, but not heavy and clunky. Lastly, I have a few times accidentally smudged a nail the day I got them done, once on the drying fan...., and they have always free- of charge redone that nail entirely. One time, I went in about four days after I had my set redone, because one corner chipped off at work, and they redid the entire nail for me even then. The employees are super nice, the work is really of a high quality, everything is nice and clean and fresh, and they ALWAYS make you feel like you are part of something more. I have been in there at times, and heard customers and techs talking about kids, a wedding, date night, etc as if they have been best friends for years. I have recently been looking around for a new salon, just to see if there is anything that could possibly be better, but by reading the reviews on Yelp, I have it as good as it comes in this area with Lovely Nails. Any slight shred of doubt that they are the top dog around here is gone. Lovely Nails is definitely the way to go. read more

Finally a salon with younger nail technicians to talk with! Hahha.. I don't know why but I liked the fact that they could relate to me better. I've been to many salons where it's customary to keep quiet since talking to them, they would just ignore you. LOL. I had Suza and she was so nice. Did a mani/pedi, after my manicure, walking to the dryer, I accidentally ruined one of my fingers, and she was nice enough to fix it for me. I did a french tip, and only complaint is for whatever reason, it chipped away within 1 week and I had to just do a polish change. I might have to try no-chip next time. Rates are reasonable and I can't complain because it's close to home. read more

My neighbor recommended this place and i am so glad she did! I've moved to the suburbs a few months ago from the city and haven't had luck finding a nail place I like. Now granted I have only been once but I was really impressed with everything from the informal greeting to picking out my color to friendly chatter with Yona during my mani/pedi. No skimping on cutting cuticles or any other steps. And i was done in less than 1.5 hours for both! I will definitely be back, keep it up guys. read more

Went here a few times, manicure the first time and a pedi-mani the second time. The first time the manicure was very good - lasted about 8 days before it started to really look bad. Second time, pedicure was ok - but he snipped cuticle on my thumb pretty good and it was bleeding and it hurt the whole week, seriously. I haven't gone back since. Also, the parking situation there is horrible - no good way to get in the parking lot if you are heading west on Maple - you have to turn down the street and turn into the lot. Very hard to find a spot. Not really their fault, per se, but I definitely do not like parking in the lot. Very clean place, I have seen more color choices other places, but you should be able to find what you are looking for. I like that they did not have a TV on, only nice music playing. read more

It's about time I review this place. I never go during the busy times because I'm just too impatient ok? So when I walked in, I was promptly was greeted and asked to pick a color. The gal who did my nails was so pleasant. I've had 3 different techs here and they all have done an awesome job. The reason I have now permanently switch here from Orchid Nails down the street is because the accept tips on their credit cards. It's as simple as that. So this day in age to not accept tips on a credit card is crazy. I get it from a tech perspective but from a business perspective, you should make it as easy as possible to have people hand over their money. The place is rather clean and is a normal size. It's in a crowded strip mall but I've never had trouble with parking. Again...don't like crowds. I'll definitely keep returning for my biweekly spa days. At least that's what I call it. read more

Just got a manicure done by Tui (sp?) and it was such a great experience! Not only did she do an awesome job but she was super friendly as well. This is a family owned and operated salon where they do NOT constantly speak in another language without acknowledging your presence. And let's be honest, that's the experience one typically encounters in most Asian salons. My sister frequents this salon often and always uses either Tui or Susie (her sister). I went to Lovely Nails for the first time today and I am very pleased. The building was clean and open and though they were busy I was helped pretty quickly. They did a great job on my mani/pedi! It was actually my first mani/pedi ever and I loved it! The prices were very reasonable. They also very nicely fixed my nail after I smudged it getting in my car! I walk in the door, a nail tech says "what you want?" and I proceed to get a fabulous no-chip manicure for a reasonable price. Honestly, there's not much more I need from a nail salon. The facility is clean, the staff is adept at what they do, they take walk-ins, and it's close to home. Can't beat it! read more

First off, UNSANITARY!!!!! I've never seen them clean any of their tools or take it out of a fresh package. They just sit on the table. The lady once grabbed a tool to do my cuticles, clean under my nails, etc after just using it on the person sitting next to me. Second, I do not recommend this place for anyone who wants perfect nails. I've given this salon a few chances and it is always a dissapointment. The shape of my nails are always uneven and not even in the shape I originally asked for. The manicures are pathetic. They chip after one day!! They are in such a huge rush and don't take their time to do what you're paying them for! They completely butcher your nails. I don't see how this place has almost 5 stars. There's maybe one person who's good in there but she's always busy. After seeing how dirty the place was last time I went, I refuse to go back. I should feel fresh after leaving a salon, not paranoid about getting a fungal infection. It's worth your money to drive farther out or go anywhere else. If you're determined to stay in Lisle than you're better off going to orchid nails. The guy in there is actually pretty good. Do not waste your time or money at lovely nails. The nail salon that I normally go to is a little far, so I decided to give this place a try due to the good reviews and I am glad I did! The technicians are very friendly and my girl did a great job. The price is reasonable as well. No chip was $35 and regular pedicure was $25. The only thing I would say is that I wish the ventilation was better, so it doesn't smell as strong inside but you do get used to it quickly. I am sure I will be back here again! read more

After trying most places in the Lisle/Woodridge nails, I keep coming back around to Lovely Nails. Never a very long wait, if at all, and inexpensive great pedicure without all the bells and whistles if a basic pedi is what you want. I don't need my feet dipped in boiling wax, or hot stones rubbed on my legs. I get a great massage with salts, and then a great massage with oil, and hot towels, and an exceptional pedicure. All for $23, not $35 and up. I am a loyal customer for life. Everyone is friendly and nice. read more

This place was great. It was VERY clean. They asked if I want to use the razor on my feet, and they used a brand new razor. As we were waiting for our toes to dry, they were mopping the floor and cleaning the stations. Price was $23 for a pedicure. We went on a Friday night, and they were pretty busy. My polish has lasted two weeks without a chip, and that includes a visit to a waterpark. I'd definitely go back. read more

After reading other reviews on here I went to give this place a shot. When I walked in there was a very strong chemical smell, but, whatever. I got the $30 pedi which included a salt scrub and a mud masque. The lady that did mine was quiet (fine by me, I had stuff to take care of on my phone!) took her time with the salt scrub although that got to be a little irritating after a while, skin wise, not time wise. Put the mud masque on with a good massage! I still see some spots she missed trimming the dead skin off around my toes. was the masque and scrub worth an extra 7 bucks? no. but! my feet are as smooth as a babies bum and other than the kinda blotchy paint job on my big toes(some spots look thicker than others) it wasnt bad! read more

This is the second nail salon I've tried since moving to the area, and I will go back. I went for a pedicure, and found the women working here are extremely nice and friendly. We actually had a pleasant conversation! At some other salons, I have a difficult time getting them to make the water hot enough. At Lovely Nails, she checked the water temp with me, happily made it warmer, and then halfway through my service, refreshed it with more hot water (without my asking). The massage chair also hit the spot. Most nail salons offer them, but when the remotes don't work or the chair is partially broken, it's more annoying than anything else. This one was good. I also liked that the pedicure was a flat price and all-inclusive. It wasn't the fanciest pedicure I've ever had, but I appreciated that I didn't have to bump up $10 $15 or $20 for a little massage. My nail girl was super fast and did a great job, and the price was reasonable. My only complaints are the TV screen in the corner (not very relaxing) and that it is a bit on the smelly side. It's somewhat expected at a place that does acrylics, but a lot of salons are doing a better job and curbing the smell. read more

I absolutely LOVE Lovely Nails. I have been bouncing around between different nail salons in the area for quite some time and I am so incredibly happy to have found this place. First and foremost they are the most affordable in the area. ($23 for a pedi?! WOW!) I have always been impressed with their work and the nail tech's here are so nice and normal! I've had Khan do my fill-in's for awhile now and I've never had someone be SO meticulous with his work, he's phenomenal! Wow I can't believe how down hill this place has gone. First let me say that I've been here plenty of times and it has slowly deteriorated in quality of work and customer service. The older gentleman is just terrible. Sloppy and careless - avoid him at all costs. The last time I was there I asked how long the wait was for a pedicure. My response was "not that long" so I'm thinking 15 minutes or less. The woman takes me back to the pedi station fairly quickly and gets the water ready. Then I wait. And wait. And wait. It was almost 45 minutes and I was still waiting with my feet in the damn water. I finally left. No one seemed to care or apologize. I'm done with this place and it's a shame too because it use to be my favorite in the area. read more

Went in today for a manicure and pedicure. No one acknowledged me when I walked in. The ladies were all busy with customers but at least someone could have said hello or asked why I was there. After a few minutes of waiting I asked if I needed an appointment. Was told no and I could have a seat. Left after waiting about 10 minutes. The girls at this place are really good, have never had an issue. Do NOT, and I repeat do NOT go to the man. For one, he does not listen to your requests, he does what he wants and his work never lasts. Also, he failed to listen to me on two different occasions (I give people second chances) when I told him to be cautious of a nail that had been damaged. He failed to listen to me and to that result I now have a SERIOUS infection to my finger and have had to now see a specialist and it because of going here and his work and his failure to listen to me. I have never had an issue with service or results when seeing any of the women that work here, but the male that works there should no longer be allowed to do acrylic nails. read more

One of the worst pedicures I've ever had. I came in at 6:30pm (after calling ahead to see if they could take me right away, which they said they could) and still had to wait an hour. What's worse is that they put me in a chair as soon as I got there so my feet were soaking in cold water by the time someone got to me and I couldn't leave even though they took forever. The girl who did my pedicure did a completely lackluster job, likely because they close at 8pm and my pedicure didn't even start until after 7:30. She didn't ask me which pedi I wanted from the menu, just picked the shortest one in terms of duration. Then she didn't wait for the bottom coat to dry before layering on the top coats, which made the final product look uneven and terrible. After five minutes of drying, one of the gentleman working there took out the toe separators and told me I could go even though I assured him the nails weren't dry. Naturally, I tested a couple and sure enough three smudged and when I brought it to his attention he ignored me. Thankfully another manicurist fixed those three and actually put me under the dryer. Also, chair massager didn't work and the overall the equipment was really dated (they still use razors on your feet, which I thought was illegal). Still had to pay the $23. Lesson learned. I stumbled upon this place last min trying to get a pedi before everything closed up, not having enough time to make it to my regular nail spa; I have only been once and got the best pedi that Ive have ever had! I did upgrade wanting the spa pedi, not knowing that the regular one is not your typical basic pedicure you would get anywhere else. 2 different sea salt treatments & paraffin for $27 total! They were not rushed,my nails looked great... everyone here seemed to take there time and provide great service. read more
