HIGHLY recommend. First things first, yes, it's expensive. Out of all of the 9+ businesses that sell couches that my girlfriend and I have looked at, Lovesac is probably #2 on the list. We bought ours around July 2021, and have had it for about 4 months. But holy moly is it worth it! We have a dog and she loves sitting on the couch, so we went with a dog/kid resistant fabric, and it's so comfortable! The whole idea is that you can mix and match different bases and sides of the sactionals to create an entirely different couch shape. We originally planned to have an L shaped couch, but after two weeks of using it we realized we functionally want a U shaped couch instead... So we just ordered one more sactional and clicked it into place! The covers are all removable and machine washable, just throw it into the washing machine whenever there's a spill and it'll be good as new! You can probably get a sactional with storage space, or a built-in charging port for your phones or laptop! We also bought the wooden cup holder and coffee table additions, which really transformed the whole living room. Honestly worth it. It's customizable, comfy, personalized, you can change it up at any point, the customer service is phenomenal, super nice people in the store itself. read more

Love the concept! This is the product that I've always looked for. I love the modular design with the ability to change it up from time to time. The choices of fabric are so numerous that I'll have fun just thinking through the possibilities. So the main product is their "Sactional" which basically allows you to customize and transform the couch into a sleeper for guests, or split it up for parties or just whatever you want. The sides are removable, you could twist them up and just be creative. I've always loved sectionals, but if they only come one way - you're stuck. The Sactional is customization haven. New slip on covers and accessories are available, and the fabrics are washable too. There will inevitably be a stain or a spill on a couch right? So glad that the couch will survive with a simple wash or a cover replacement down the line. Customer service was just great. The associate was very informative and explained the company and the product in great detail. Its good to know that they are customer centric, and they welcomed me to their family. The big sac chairs (think bean bag chair - only with foam and the most softest material ever) - are awesome as well. A great lounger for reading a book. Can't wait to get my sactional delivered - from what I observed - seems like all the parts come in very manageable boxes - this will be fun to put together just in time for Christmas! read more

We recently bought over a $5,000 sactional from Lovesac and feel completely oversold. 1st- they told us that the sactional would be easy to set up and 1 person could do it themselves. Setting up this sactional took us several hours and multiple days. So much so that our hands literally were bleeding by the time the couch was finished. 2- There's no manual on how to set your couch up. We relied on youtube videos that didn't fit the exact dimensions of our couch so we were left guessing that we put the couch together correctly. 3- While in store, they sold us saying that it would be easy to switch out the cushions and return. To return, you need to wait for Fedex to deliver boxes. Stuff the cushions yourself and wait until Lovesac received the cushions then they will send the new cushions. That is not easy. Also on top of that, we would owe an extra $600 to switch out the type of cushions we wanted. When we went in store to speak to manager, they said a manager would return our call. A store associate called us and relayed to the manager rather than the manager speaking directly to us. Completely disappointed and wouldn't recommend. read more

We absolutely LOVE the lovesac and especifically the Old Orchard location. We've worked with a few people at this location: Felipe, Dave, and a few others. From ordering our desired Sactional (with the custom configuration), to getting help with the return and exchange of the Sactional we ordered - it was excellent customer service during the whole process. I am unsure about the negative reviews but we were never pressured, we were always treated as A-list customers and this was all done while my three young boys jumped around in their store and played with almost every accessory. We decided to buy our SECOND sactional because our first one is perfect - comfortable and durable. We also have a citysac. We love the product, we love the service, and we will definitely be back again because they come out with new covers and products. I mentioned we have 3 boys and I would like each one of them to eventually have their own citysac or gamersac. I highly recommend this product and this location. Although the store is a little smaller than other Lovesac stores we've been into - we always enjoy going there. read more

Outstanding customer service! We went in with the intention of buying another Sactional and because my wife wanted to go in to see/feel the Sactional cover materials. Philipe went out of his way to show us all the covers we were interested in and gave us a great deal on some inventory surplus pieces. Normally, you put in the order and receive it in 1-2 weeks but with Philippe's ingenuity, we left the store with with an almost complete set saving me a ton of money! My boyfriend and I ran into the issue all apartment-dwellers dread on moving day: Our couch didn't fit through the door. While looking for modular/small/apartment-friendly couch options, we came across the Sactional by LoveSac. The price tag was a little shocking at first, but we decided to visit the Old Orchard store to try it out and see if they could wow us - boy did they. Joseph was so kind and patient with our laundry list of questions and completely understood our concerns with the cost of the couch. As an added bonus, you could totally tell he sips the LoveSac koolaid and really believes in the product he sells. After thinking it over, we decided to buy, given that the sactional could grow with us and be reconfigured. We had constant proactive communication from the store as we encountered some backorder issues which makes the experience so painless. Does it come in a crazy amount of boxes? Yes. But you can bribe the FedEx guy with $50 like I did and they'll carry it upstairs for you. Does it cost a lot? Yes, but it's terrific quality, it will fit through any and every doorway in any and every house you'll ever live in, and the store is SO receptive to any questions or concerns. We plan on buying more pieces once we have the space, but we are beyond happy with our purchase. read more

First let me say, this review is not about the product as I have yet to receive my sactional which was supposed to be delivered May 17. This is about the poor follow up and customer service by Lovesac employees. I purchased a sactional from the Old Orchard location on May 4. I picked out a quick ship product, opted to have it delivered and assembled. I was told that I would receive my sactional by May 17, because the delivery and assembling added time to the process. No problem. However, while completing my order there was some sort of "glitch" in their system and it was not taking my order for the sactional but, funnily enough, the system processed my payment immediately. I gave the employees, Shaun and David, my information for delivery, phone number etc and they even kept a copy of my CC info-just incase there was a need to run it again. I did inform them that the payment was already being processed through my CC company and to not run another order through until they called me and to allow me time to talk to my CC company about reversing the first charge, if that was needed. There was no need as the first payment was processed without a problem. The store called me after I had left to come in and sign the receipt for my order, as it seemed the "glitch" was fixed. I returned to the store and signed the receipt. When I got home, I noticed that two orders were processed in my name but, only one payment went through. The email(s) stated that my order was received and I would be getting a follow up email regarding processing and delivery etc. I waited and waited for the follow up email, never received it. I called customer service on May 15 to ask what the status was of my order. The CS rep told me that my order was NEVER RELEASED by the store for processing because they lacked complete delivery/customer information!!! I gave them all that information and it was also on the emailed receipt. The CS rep contacted the store. A rep from the store called and said she wasn't sure why that happened and said there would have been no way they would have ever known that my order was not processed, if I had not called?! She said she would put a rush on the order and that I should receive updated information in 24 hours. I did receive updated information, an email that said, YAY, your order is being processed. No timeframe for delivery was included in that email. I waited a week for some sort of follow up email regarding delivery, I never received one. Fed up with waiting, I emailed CS on May, 23 and explained my situation AGAIN and requested that I be reimbursed the 300 dollars for delivery for the hassle. A few hours after emailing CS, I received a call from Bryan and he explained that my order was being processed and that ,for some reason, someone had changed my delivery option to fast and free (remember I had already paid 300 dollars to have it delivered and put together). Bryan said he would call the warehouse and put a rush on my order, again, and he would call me back. He also switched the shipping method back to my original method. I waited until end of business for a call back, which I did not get.So, I called back, and spoke with Bryan. He said that I would receive my sactional, Monday, May 27 (today) and needed confirmation on the configuration of my sactional because Shaun no longer worked there. Really? After I spoke with Bryan, I received an email from Angelo, a CS rep in CT, giving me the phone number for the delivery company and told me to follow up, on my own, with that company but that I would be receiving my sactional TODAY, May 27 and for my frustration he was going to send me STICKERS, yes, folks STICKERS... Lovesac collectible stickers, which was just insulting. I followed up with the delivery company and was told, yes, May 27 it will be delivered. So, here I sit on my floor, today, Monday, May 27, having rearranged my whole weekend and holiday plans because numerous people from Lovesac told me that today was the day, with NOTHING. No sactional, no stickers and no follow up from CS or the store. I did call the delivery company AGAIN and was told that my sactional was "in transit" ( not even in my state) and she wasn't sure when they would be receiving my product. So, buyer beware! It's a hassle to get your product and no one knows what is going on or is willing to go above and beyond to help you. Its very disappointing and I was so excited to get my sactional ****Update: Finally received my sactional On May 30, after I tracked down where it was and spoke to several different people with the shipping company and Lovesac. I sent an email to the district manager of Lovesac in the greater Chicago area explaining what had happened. Her response was immediate and my shipping costs were refunded. I ordered 28 pieces from this company in May 2018, the delivery was a nightmare but could have been part of the delivery company I suppose. Within 8 months of me purchasing my 28 piece sactional they discontinued my covers (which I was told would never happen), then within a year of my purchase my covers started coming apart at the seams. I have several emails into the company, the store I purchased it from & the customer service department, I have a generic claim number that gets processed when you submit a claim BUT no one to actually handle it... I spent $10K at Lovesac to furnish 3 living rooms and I would "think" they would at least hold up their warranty end of it. They blow you off until you give up, but I won't be giving up. read more

Sales team was great. The good review ends there. On our way out the door, they were 'congratulating' each other on the sale.... which made me a little uncomfortable. The furniture was supposed to arrive in 5 weeks, then 2 1/2 weeks in they send an email wanting to know what 'configuration' we wanted. We purchased this furniture because we were told we could 'configure' it anyway we wanted, and could modify it to fit any space. I called them, and they said just to pick a configuration and if we changed our mind, to just email or call them and they would forward on any changes we wanted to make. NO! NO! NO! We purchased this because it was convertible, why does is the store trying to send the manufacturer a 'configuration'? It doesn't make sense. I asked them to cancel the order, because it seems that this is not convenient or convertible at all. They called back, just insisted we pick a configuration. After way too much back and forth, We just picked something so they would leave us alone. Then they call a few days later they called from the store, telling us the delivery has been moved up 2 weeks, and will now be delivered the next morning! And again, was asking what 'configuration' we wanted. Why do they keep asking us this ridiculous question? Anyway, we had to hire movers to come in on Sunday to throw our old couches out, and was charged a premium fee to come on short notice, and on a Sunday, just to make room for our love sac delivery. We waited, they never showed up. We called the store, The employee, who called on Saturday was not there today, on Sunday. The staff told us that they don't deliver on Sunday, and The employee must have been confused about an email from the manufacturer about the delivery. So, after a half a dozen calls back and forth, they have no idea when the furniture will be delivered or set up, and we have no furniture in our living room because we had it all removed this morning to make way for Love Sac. The furniture looks cute in the showroom. But these people have no idea what they are doing from the store, to the manufacturer, to the delivery and set up. As they say, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. These guys are so disorganized, confusing, annoying with their unnecessary emails and phone calls. I have worked in retail for at least 8 years and I have never EVER had better service than what I received at Lovesac. Tabitha and Nancy at Lovesac were the BEST! So let's start with my story, I just recently purchased a home and was looking for furniture, my couch was going to be my investment piece. I did all the research I could and fell in love with the Sactionals at Lovesac. I was impressed by the overall design, comfort, sturdiness, and customizability that they had to offer. I ended up purchasing two city sacs and a 4 x 5 sactional. Tabitha, my furniture designer was PHENOMENAL. I honestly felt like we could be life long friends, she was immensely thoughtful and extremely nice throughout our whole purchasing experience. This is where the sad part comes. I actually turned out to be allergic to the foam inside my sactional (insert super sad face here). Now I don't want anyone to get turned away from Lovesac or their products, because the couch is QUALITY and so are the sacs, I unfortunately am some sort of freak of nature and cannot control my allergies. My entire family, my boyfriend, and my friends were completely fine on it, it apparently was just ME (once again insert super sad face here). I am still in mourning over the fact that I couldn't keep my product. I absolutely loved it. So the moral of my story is, Lovesac has quality products and beyond amazing service and staff. So my wife was talking about this store the last time we were at the mall. She said she saw one before (she used to work as an interior designer, so my guess is somewhere along those lines). Well they were not open yet, but when I went back to the mall a few days ago to do some errands during a day off from work I got a chance to go into the store. They have these huge, higher end, bean bag like things. I jumped right into one and it was damn comfortable. Then I saw the price tag.... I jumped right out (not really, I was sort of stuck in it and it was so comfortable). They also had modular furniture, which is cool as you can expand and change arrangements without having to buy new stuff. There was nobody else in the store shopping so I think the least they could have done was to say hello or to ask if I had any questions. After about 5 minutes of waiting, the employees were still on their phones so we walked out of the store. I had been doing research online about how to solve my seating dilemma in my living room. I don't have enough spare floor space to fit another chair, so I started looking into bean bag chairs. Lovesac had the best reputation by far. So I traveled over to the Skokie Lovesac store with the model sac (moviesac!) I wanted and was going to let my butt make the decision. As everyone knows, one of the WORST things when shopping for furniture are the salespeople. This was absolutely not the case at Lovesac. Shira spotted me standing around like a deer in headlights in the middle of a busy store and was super helpful in showing me exactly what I was looking for. No pressure to buy anything at all, which made the decision to purchase from the store all the much easier. (In case you were wondering, it was a unanimous decision between the left and right butt cheeks that the moviesac must be mine.) Excellent experience here. I highly recommend. During my visit at the store, I wasn't pressured into anything and I was explained all the options available. All the questions I asked were answered clearly. The sales associate was there alone (it was a Tuesday morning), so she had me and some other customers to juggle. The name of the sales associate escapes me (Saba maybe?) The delivery of the Love Sac came as expected (I didn't know that the covers come in a separate package, but when I called the store, Alexandria explained everything to me). It was a lot easier than normal furniture deliveries because they come in separate boxes. It took some time to set up, but it wasn't difficult, and was a learning process. Joseph provided top notch customer service when we first walked in the store with two young children who were not interested in couch shopping). He got us the information we needed about the Sactional and allowed us to get out the door without any pressure to make a sale. When we followed up, he recalled exactly who we were, continued to educate us on the product, and help us make the right decision for our family. Beyond that - Joseph continued to provide a degree of customer service beyond the sale including questions about design and set up that should make Lovesac corporate smile (it was THAT dedication to my customer experience that inspired this review). Beyond Joseph - it is worth mentioning that the product is incredible. My only hesitation in making referrals is that I want to be the only one with the incredibly cool, cutting edge, life changing couch! That said - the referral bonus program (which will help me get my next Lovesac product) is more than enough incentive! I purchased a sofa from another company and was annoyed when it did not fit in my buildings service elevator. No fault but my own even though the sofa was small, it was just an inch or two too big to fit. I made the trip to Lovesac based on multiple suggestions from friends.I was welcomed by the sales people there and answered any questions I had. I they showed me all the different layouts I could set up and all the options. They asked me questions to better understand what I was looking for. When they sensed that I was all about finding discounts where I could, they suggested the floor model covers they were running at a large discount. Even though I spent a lot more than I planned to I see it as an investment and I am happy with the purchase they helped me with. My review is short a star because they didn't mention to me that there are two sizes of sides/backs. I'm totally fine with what I purchased, but if I known that some of the layouts required the smaller side I might have considered purchasing one. Overall a great experience with the staff! read more

Went to Lovesac on 8/26. Tabitha was AWESOME for helping us. We are already Sactional 5 series owners but were looking at the 6 for something more comfortable. We got to flip off our shoes and try out furniture in the store for over an hour. Absolutely no pressure from Tabitha to buy. She just kept answering questions, showing us samples of fabrics and offering solutions to our furniture problem. Props to her for making us feel so welcome! We didn't buy the six series couch. However, due to the fact we felt welcome to hang out in the tiny store for an hour trying everything, we fell in love with the Sacs. We ordered The Big One online today as well as a separate cover to be cooler in the summer. We would have never imagined spending money like that on a Sac before we walked into the store. This place is doing something right. Hope Lovesac knows that they probably generate a lot of future online sales by having a store location. I'm sure many people test the furniture out, and then just order it online for convenience and to save a trip. Why don't they have a Chicago location? Love the concept, so much so I bought 3 sactionals at one time. One for me and one for each of my children. Sales associates were great to work with and the sofas in the store seemed comfortable. The fabric is wonderful. Absolutely LOVE the fact that the covers are machine washable and wash beautifully. I am disappointed that my sectional after having it for over a year is not very comfortable, at all. I thought maybe it just needed to be "broken in." Not the case. We bought the mid-level cushion; not the least expensive and not the all-down cushion. It also is not deep at all, you cannot sit back comfortably, you feel perched forward. You have the option of turning the cushions to make them deeper but the back cushions don't work when it is placed that way. So while the concept is great and the fabric is wonderful, I don't think it is comfortable. Sadly, the two children that I bought them for don't think they are comfortable either... If I could do it over again, it is highly unlikely I would purchase them again. read more

We were in the Market for a new Chair as our living room was a little too formal and uncomfortable. My wife and I had visited this store on multiple occasions and had wished we had the space for a Sac. Tired of being uncomfortable, we decided yesterday we were going to take the plunge and pull the trigger. My wife called the store and Joseph answered the phone. He answered all of her questions with ease and offered to send her pictures of their current inventory to her phone. He explained that no one worked on commission there and that when we came into the store any of his team members could assist us. When we showed up we had difficulty choosing between the CitySac and the PillowSac. Joseph was so patient with us as we tried each bag, asked numerous questions, and there was no pressure, at all, to buy anything. We could tell Joseph was passionate about the Company and truly enjoyed his job. We decided on a PlllowSac and my wife and I were rather indecisive on how firm we wanted the Sac. Joseph and his team, without hesitation, added more fiber, removed more fiber, added more fiber, removed more fiber (I can't believe he didn't strangle us this was pretty time consuming) until the fill was perfect for us. Being rather particular with ascetics, the multiple covers we wanted were not in stock but Joseph took his time to call many other stores to source the specific covers we wanted. There were some parts of our order that he was unable to complete and assured us that we would complete our order when he got home that evening. Surprisingly, he texted us at 8:00pm (2 hours after the store closed) to let us know he had completed our order. I've never had a car salesman text me after hours let alone a furniture salesman; the customer service is incredible. Our Sales rep Alex used the magnet pieces to configure what our sactional would look like based on what we told her we'd like. We agreed on a configuration and price. We even applied for credit and completed a purchase. Or so we thought. After we spent north of $4000 and left the store the next day I received a text from Alex stating she made an error and didn't order an extra pillow that we'd need to complete our configuration. She said our order was flagged by her boss and that she wanted to let us know before the order went though. I expressed my disappointment in her asking us to pay more especially after we already spent more than our original budget and trusted she knew what she was doing since she was the supposedly expert. She said she would speak to her district manager to see if the extra pillow could be comped only to call me back stating they couldn't do that and I'd have to pay the extra. This made me change my view of lovesac and their sales reps. Not happy!!! I work in sales and if we made an error within reason we are not asking the customer for more money and instead we are eating the overage all to keep our customer satisfied. Repeat customers are what you want but unfortunately I will not be returning to this location. read more

This was by far THE WORST customer service I have EVER received. I have NEVER placed a negative review on yelp and gave this company FOUR months to correct their shipping and billing mistakes prior to this review. Long story short...I ordered an extra piece for my couch in September of 2018. They sent me the wrong cover as the fabric lot had changed since I made my original purchase in May of 2018. After multiple attempts to contact the store for a return label in order to receive an exchange I received the label weeks later. The store informed me that the process would take 3-4 weeks for the return to process at the warehouse and another 2 weeks to have the new covers shipped. Therefore I was without a functional couch for 5+ weeks. The 5 weeks I needed it when my father was living with us while undergoing cancer treatment. Who does that to a customer????? The business sent the wrong product to being with!!! When I inquired about having new covers shipped immediately without waiting for my return they said this was not an option. I never received communication that the covers were received or that my new covers were being sent. When I contacted customer service AGAIN in November they finally decided to ship me new covers despite the fact the warehouse STILL had not processed the return. As well they offered to give me a refund for the price of the covers. Needless to say after countless phone calls and emails to Lovesac Old Orchard with the manager Missey Love I have still not received my refund. Missey does not follow-up with her customers and is IMPOSSIBLE to get in contact with. As well, she has an excuse for EVERYTHING. We don't answer the phone at the store because I we don't have enough employees". "It takes 24-48 hours for the business office to process things". The list goes on.....Well Missey that is not my issue. If you are the manager I would say you need to rethink your staffing and if you want to provide customer service effectively you need to follow-up with your business office AND your customers. My last call to the 1-800 number TODAY resulted in a very nice "someone" who would not give me her name telling me "someone" that is a district manager will reach out to me. At this moment I don't know who or when....still waiting for resolve of my 2018 order in 2019. I would NEVER recommend a purchase from Lovesac. The amount of time/money I've wasted chasing these people is disgusting. read more

We were expecting our 3rd child. We wanted to finish our basement because we needed the space. but the odd (and small) nature of the stairway to the basement made it impossible to get traditional couches (specifically the ones we liked) into the basement. We seriously considered digging out the egress window!!! My wife found lovesac and the rest is history...... ...we bought 8 bases and 9 sides; ...we got the taupe and absolutely love how the color matches everything; ...with 5 people and many visitors, the flexibility we get with the Lovesac system is unbelievable; ...my kids refer to it as the "Monster" couch; we have built a speedway to allow them to run around on it. ...the durability of the product is second to none; ...the folks at the Old Orchard store are great - I drove 2 hours to visit with them and they spent over an hour with me! We have enough space so that all of us can comfortably sit on the couch during family movie night. We spend so much time in the basement because of the couch. My girlfriend knew Lovesac was the way to go for our new couch, but I had my reservations as we didn't have exact measurements and it was a major purchase. She took me in to Lovesac today, and we met with Joseph. He was extremely knowledgeable about the products and walked us through all our options very patiently. He was very attentive, greeting other customers politely but remaining with us until we were satisfied with our choices and finished our purchase. Had a fantastic experience! Having just bought a home, I was shopping around for a couch for my primary family room. On my initial visit, Mike was "marvel"ous in helping me understand how the sactionals work and what my options were, providing me a quote without pressuring me into buying. He provided me a quote and left it there. Despite it being more than I was hoping to spend on a couch, I came back a few days later and made my purchase. Again I got exceptional service from Mike and another coworker (Felipe? Sorry didn't get your name!) who confirmed my decision to purchase. I came into the store for the first time today with my girlfriend because the bean-bag chair looked so comfortable. When we came to the store we made it clear that we just wanted to check out the bean bag chair. It was hands down the most comfy chair I've sat in. However, the sales associate was incredibly rude and kicked us out of the store for "disrespecting" his store by comparing the foot blanket to a snuggie. The aggressive way that he bombarded us with every item in the store made us uncomfortable, but the way that he said "Well,then leave" when I called the blanket have a**ed snuggie, was the most disrespectful retail encounter I've ever had. News flash,nobody is going to like all of your merchandise. But jokes on him because I'm moving and need to buy furniture. Guess where I'm definitely not going. read more

The product is great, but the sales people are the best. I worked with Tabitha Rand to help me design the perfect couch given my lifestyle and apt size. She was extremely patient and understanding as I went through 3 revisions of my order. Brad helped us pick a Sactional for our new house. We love it. It's super comfortable and not too hard to rearrange once you get the hang of it. It does take a little space to maneuver, though. There's only one thing I can't figure out. I took all the pieces out of the box, put the covers on myself, and assembled the whole thing, and I can't find where the put the butt magnets. I'd really get more done if I could find them and take them out. :-) read more

I was in the market for a new sectional as my old one (15 yr) was comfy, but almost too soft now. I needed something equally comfy but with support. Enter, Lovesac, sactional. I went into the store to try out, got a little scared off by the price tag , so I explored other options and ended up back there less than a month later. I could not find anything that I liked as well and I couldn't find the exact fabric that I had found at Lovesac which I was set on having. Somehow I knew it was the right fit for me. It was delivered a few days ago and I ended up on the phone and back in the store 3 times that day cause I couldn't get the configuration right. I also wanted to pick up some additional throw pillows. ALL of the people in the store are incredibly service and customer oriented. They even went out to Starbucks and got me a coffee while I was deciding which throw pillows to buy. Juan, the manager and my sales person is outstanding. I did not find the sales people to be intimidating or hard sell, they just know their product and stand behind it so passionately it comes out in their sales pitch. And they are completely right! This is the most comfortable couch while at the same time offering incredible back support. I have gotten nothing done around my house in the last 3 days cause I can barely get off the couch!! I am considering buying a couple down inserts instead of the foam for a couple of the seats. (I like the firm back but maybe a softer seat). Juan was not quick to sell me the inserts, he actually encouraged me to wait a few weeks to get used to it and let it breathe from being packed up. I cannot say enough good things about this product or about the sales people in the Old Orchard store. Yes, the price is twice what you might pay elsewhere, but I truly believe you get what you pay for and I am not sorry that I paid the higher price. read more
