We used Low Buck pool for a period of time and appreciated George who is very knowledgeable . But they hire people who are not knowledgeable and sent several who did not know what they were doing, and were unresponsive when problems occurred. The office is more focused on getting speedy payment for service (which they send multiple messages about as soon as a bill is posted) than on actually providing service. After weeks of a dirty pool, we could not get a response, so we had to switch to another pool service. read more

You couldn't ask for a better pool company. When I contacted George I had already spent weeks and a lot of $$$ trying to get the pool in order. I tried to hire Low Buck Pools and they were very slow in replying back to me. I said in 3 separate emails what I had to do to hire them for weekly cleaning. This correspondence took a week for them to give me a route day and two weeks since I initially asked for some information. They finally gave me a route day but they said "we don't have a time for you yet", and this information was given to me the day before they come. So I replied back saying can you give me a time soon so I can keep my dogs indoors while you do the maintenance. No response and the next day rolls around. They leave a poorly scribbled note talking about the dogs. Why is the customer trying to manage the business? I have to ask what my next step in hiring? Crazy. I have been a customer of Low Buck Pool for over a decade. When I first started with them, it was a family business. It still is and I believe they are honest and if they cannot do the job, they refer you to who can do it. I have had some pool business clean my vinyl pool and they are in and out in 10 minutes. Low Buck Pool do the full job and if your pool needs something, they ask if you want it and tell you how much it costs. They are knowledgeable and know what chemicals a vinyl pool can take and what chemicals work in other pools. I receive a report on my pool pump, pool filter, water, and the flow of water. read more

They did such a great job starting up the pool to get chemical balance just right. They were very willing to customize my startup with additional cleaning of my pump filters for additional fee no problem. Low Buck & especially George did a great job on our pool "restart" after having it resurfaced. A little expensive but worth it to make sure that the pool was ready to go in the appropriate timeframe & that plaster cured properly. When it's time for filter change or small repairs, George let's me know in advance and arranges the repair promptly. Great communication by text - my preferred method. Bleached swimsuits. Ruined hair. Lack of communication. Inability to articulate what they're doing. Inability for their techs to speak to what they are doing when they are on site. The don't look at your system: ie: if your system has automation around things chlorine and muriatic acid. To use a garden company metaphor: They are the blow and go of pool companies. I have been forced to pickup additional effort and kit around testing. They are definitely not a full service company and their ability to communicate with their customers about what they're doing from a pool chemistry is abysmal. I am currently working through a list of alternate vendors to replace Low Buck. read more

I was selling my house and needed the hot tub serviced right away. It had been turned off and unused for several months. I called at 4:00 on Friday and Jackie got me scheduled for Monday, with a very reasonable quote. Jackie was super responsive every time I texted a question to her, and the technician did a great job. I wasn't going to write this review, but they keep spamming my email asking for me to write a review, even after I cancelled their services. So, they'll get a review. We used Low Buck services from approx. March through December of this year. At the beginning, the services were fine. The technician always showed up, did whatever balancing they needed to, made the recordings, and left. In around July, we started to see green develop in the pool, something was clearly off. We notified Low Buck through email that whatever was being done was not sufficient and we needed an evaluation to see what could be done. It took weeks for them to take our requests seriously. We troubleshooted through many options and yes, it finally got fixed. It was like trying to pull teeth to get them to take our concerns seriously. Meanwhile, the tech had been showing up the whole time, but like, ignoring what was happening? I don't understand why if we were paying to have a technician at the pool weekly, that nothing is done when they can see it's green. She leaves notes like "run your filter longer"... right... you're the pool person... just reprogram or change the filter. Tell us what is going on and how you fixed it and I'm happy to pay. It is my opinion that if I'm paying for a service company, they should service and not act as a consultant advising me what to do. Just do it. After our service person just was leaving notes to us about what "we" needed to do, we decided to cut our service. Please, just take care of it and don't bring it to my attention, I'm not taking care of my pool, it is my belief that is what we are paying you to do. I do not believe I should be reaching out for someone to help us, when their own employee should be communicating what is going on at our pool. After too many issues and dealing with how we felt we weren't being taken care of, it's time to move on. The woman on the phone when you call is always lovely and tries to help, but I don't believe it always trickles down to all interactions. The best pool company is one you don't talk to, don't have to reach out to, and just takes care of it. read more

George is great and responsive (sometimes a little wait but will get back). His crew is good, efficient, and punctual. Ricardo is an expert on the fixes and hardworking. The results shows as expected and told. The routine cleaner, Jorge, moves like clockwork. He comes and stays usually 15 minutes about the same time. Mainly, respectful of property (e.g.not letting brush or equipment swing or drop on car while entering, not parking on driveway incase of oil drips, and such). Low Bucks, kudos. read more
