Food came out fast, server was friendly, the restaurant itself was pretty nice but nothing special. The food was good but nothing to rave about. A decent seafood boil for two and about $30 each with a drink.

We tried Carolina Crab House for the first time and we're so glad we did! The restaurant is quite spacious and even though it was really busy the service was excellent. We felt taken care of the entire time, which made the experience even better. We ordered the seafood feast platter and it was more than enough food for the four of us. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. It was the perfect seafood feast after a long beach day. When I'm in the area again, I will absolutely be back.

We are visiting from NJ and they don't do seafood boil like NC. This was BOMB! Cute modern decor and music. Our waitress Adrianna was nice and attentive, and our food came out quickly. The drinks were good, but the star of the show was the boil obviously. We got the Deluxe seafood combo, +4 eggs (trust me) and +1/2 lb of green mussels. We cleared it. This place was so delicious, we will stop by next time we're in town for sure. Thanks!

Probably one of the best seafood boils I've had. You get what you pay for and it's a huge portion for a great price. The flavor hit the spot as I got the house special and very spicy for my seafood boil. Our server Riya was attentive and pleasant, highly recommend her. Everything was delicious!

Ive been here quite a few times and each time we get the same server Riya and she is an amazing person and server I would recommend coming here and getting served by her the seafood prices are pretty good with how big portions of food you get, I personally the build your own. The environment is amazing and getting served fast.

The snow crab was a beast I loved it the fries was little bit oily. The service was amazing. It was cool I would recommend it.

Got sat down right away, ordered some hush puppies and they were 10/10, after that I order the 1lb combo platter and it's extra spicy season was the perfect touch if your into hot spice.

Once entering I had to wait to be seated as the hostess was overwhelmed with the couple before me. She was very nice once it came my turn. I opted to sit on the patio since it was a beautiful evening. The bar seemed crowded with what appeared to be locals. There were only a few of us on the patio but it filled up as I was leaving after a delightful meal. Love the mix of old seaside decor and the memorabilia. This place has history. Now for the food. I had to have the She crab soup as that is one of the things the place is known for. It was tasty. Not a lot of experience with this style soup but I enjoyed it almost as much as I would have a nice bisque. The side salad was a bit small but typical mix and the blue cheese was good but needed more of it. (More on that later) I opted for water tonight as I was trying to behave but they do have a full bar and a good wine list. The waitress was very knowledgeable and when I told her I was going to try one of the fresh catches Carolina style she recommended the Drum. It was very tasty. I would have loved to have more of the Carolina topping to sop up with the nice biscuits they brought out. The Mac and Cheese was also tasty. The vegetable tonight was green beans so that didn't sound very exciting so opted for the Mac. Probably not the healthiest choice but was tastier in my humble opinion. Great experience food wise and my poor server needs a medal or something. She was attempting to cover the bar area and the patio by herself. She was literally running trying to make it all work. She was great but it does appear they need to hire a few more folks to help.

It's sort of Italian and sort of steak and sort of a little bit of everything. Really clean, strait forward , reasonable menu, nice ambience. It feels kind of high end but the pricing is definitely mid range. I selected the tomato basil soup as my appetizer. It came with a nice toasted crustini. It was a really good soup. It tasted fresh. It had a lot of body to it like, maybe they did the tomatoes here in the house from fresh. It was definitely tomato. The basil was kind in the background, but it was a true red sauce. It was almost tomato paste or tomato sauce flavor. I would've not complained if they given it to me over a bit of penne.. It had a really nice flavor on it not too sweet not too acidic really a very good soup. It came out in a footed coffee cup so you're getting about one cup of soup. The main course was the broiled seafood platter. It was anchored by a large piece of mahi-mahi, that was amazingly well prepared, firm and tasty. To the side of that was a wonderful crabcake, one of the best I've had anywhere and definitely the best in the Carolinas. It did not have too much breading and it had a wonderful texture with lots of good crab flavor. Drizzled across all of this were scallops and shrimp. The shrimp were a little overcooked if you asked me. The scallops were sweet and perfect and everything you would want them to be. The side that comes with this is their crab fries which essentially our beer battered french fries dusted with old bay seasoning. If you've ever had the crab fries at the Philadelphia, ballpark, this is the way they do it. For dessert, I ordered the lemon cello mascarpone cake. It comes drizzled with raspberry sauce. I had visions of lemon curd, and what I got was really good and really lemonade and good cake. But it's not a very big slice. I know about the weight staff. I don't know if they're all good, but mine was exceptional and lovely to talk with. The place was very busy. It had a nice vibe to it, it could've been in South Beach or Miami or Los Angeles, not that it was over over the top just that it was very clean and nice and well done. This is a professional restaurant not some amateur attempt. I recommend it.

I really enjoyed my fried flounder sandwich! The fish was moist, flaky and flavorful. The breading wasn't too heavy and was seasoned well. It paired very well with the simple coleslaw. Hubby's po'boy was overflowing with tasty fried shrimp. He loved the addition of tangy, spicy peppers. The french fries had a perfect crisp and were salted well. Lives up to its review **…read more we were originally on our way to a place Perla for oysters, our friend suggested it. I was looking at near by restaurants and decided to try seabird instead - as we wanted to come to the boardwalk anyways. I am so glad we changed our route to seabird. Venue: quite quaint than I thought but it is elegantly and uniquely presented. Food: ordered tuna crudo, short rib burger, eggs Benedict and of course the oysters. We loved every plate ordered. First oyster, super fresh, clean and exactly the type of oysters we are looking for. The condiments were made fresh and complimented the oysters very well. Burger was good- tender meat and seasoned well; this plate was ordered for my teen son- he said it was good but not worth $25 for a burger. Sturgeon eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection - perhaps one salt sprinkle away from absolute perfection but that's why the table salt is for. The shaved dill pickle it came with complimented The richness of the Benedict. The star of the show today for us the tuna crudo - oh my! What a complex taste - sweet, salty, savory, tangy, creamy and fresh- the savory tuna meets the sweet watermelon, fresh cucumber- spicy pepper with amazing watermelon cream dressing. I wanted to lick the whole sauce off the plate. Also ordered strawberry brownie icecream and I was in love! Creamy- not too rich or sweet - refreshing and perfect all in all, we all loved every bite. Service: exceptional service from entering the door to exiting. Our server was amazing. We are definitely coming back and recommending it to the friend who recommended us Perla

We had brunch at Seabird and, despite one memorable hiccup, it was another very good experience…read more My wife and I split the Spicy NC Shrimp Chilaquiles, and once everything arrived as intended, the dish was excellent. The funny part? The kitchen initially sent out the shrimp dish... without the shrimp. We had to ask for them to bring the missing shrimp, which they quickly corrected. I couldn't help but imagine Chef Gordon Ramsay standing in the kitchen shouting, "You served the shrimp dish without any shrimp, you muppet!" That alone was worth a chuckle. We sat at the bar, where service is usually outstanding. This time the bartender was clearly overwhelmed and stretched thin, so things moved a little slower than normal. Even so, everyone remained professional and friendly. Chef Dean Neff has set a very high standard here, and it's easy to understand why Seabird has received so much recognition and James Beard attention over the years. The food quality, creativity, and consistency continue to make it one of our favorite spots in Wilmington. A missing shrimp on a shrimp dish and slower-than-usual bar service keep this from being a perfect score, but neither issue was enough to spoil the meal.
